As Pallavi opened the door, she saw Shubman and Ishan standing outside. She couldn't believe her eyes for a second.

Shubman on the other hand felt a sense of relief in his heart after seeing her.

Pallavi:-Ishan, Shub...Shubman what are you doing here?

Ishan:-Pallavi we are here to take you back to India.

Pallavi:-No no that can't happen. I am settled here.

Ishan:-Pallavi please we know that u aren't happy here and your happy place is Shubman.

Pallavi looked at them in shock after Ishan said this.

Pallavi:-Wh...what?

Ishan:-Pallavi i know about both of your relationship. In fact, Shubman himself told me about both of you. Please you two need to sort out all the mess.

Pallavi:-No i don't want to talk to anyone right now.

Shubman:-Pallavi stop lying to yourself. You clearly know what your heart wants.

Ishan:-I am leaving both of u guys here. I am standing outside and please sort out all the things you two.

Ishan went outside leaving Pallavi and Shubman inside the house to give them some privacy.

As Ishan left a sense of awkwardness filled the room.

Pallavi:-Shubman why are you here now?

Shubman:-Pallavi please listen to me once.

Pallavi:-What's left Shubman? Everything is ruined.

Shubman:-No Pallavi. It's not the end of the world. We can still be together.

Pallavi:-Are you in a mood to cheat on your wife again?

Shubman:-Manya and i are not together anymore. (He said after taking a deep breath)

Pallavi:-What?

Shubman:-Yeah. She took a divorce from me right after i told her about us. Since then i am staying alone.

Pallavi eyes filled with tears after hearing Shubman's words. The thought that he was alone during all this time just like her made her feel sad.

Shubman:-Pallavi i know you don't want to ruin your married life again but just for a moment think about your own happiness. I might sound selfish to you right now but please for a moment forget about Ravi and remember all the moments that we spent together.

Pallavi:-I am not with Ravi anymore.

Shubman:-What?

Pallavi:-Yeah. Just like you Ravi also left me after hearing the truth about our relationship. That's why i shifted to America.

Shubman:-You could have talked to me.

Pallavi:-How could i have done that Shubman. I didn't wanted to ruin your marriage again. I thought that Manya and you would have sorted out all the things.

Shubman:-So all this time you were suffering alone. (He said cupping her face with his hands)

Pallavi:-You also suffered alone all this time. I actually convinced myself that you are alright and happy with your family. I used to think of your happiness and it used to reduce a bit of my unhappiness. But today i realised that you have been as alone as i am. I even sometimes wonder that why did all this happen? Why did we meet? And then part? Why Shubman? Why? Why?

Shubman:-Everyone shares happiness and sorrow but i want to share my punishment with you Pallavi. My life may not be complete living with you, but at least it will be worth living. Will you share this incomplete life with me, Pallavi? I love you Pallavi.

Pallavi:-I love you too Shubman, i love you too...(she said as she bursted in tears)

SHUBMAN's POV
The foundation of a marriage should only be love. And nothing else. Because if the foundation is wrong, relationships end. Like it happened with us. Even though it took a long time but, we found love... happiness. But we just wish that the road to our destination didn't have to be paved with broken hearts.

PALLAVI's POV
We are together finally. Even though it costed us our marriages. Yes we did wrong. Yes we hurted our partners. Yes we lost our loved ones but it's all worth it. The moment that we are sharing today is worth all of it.
