The next day as Shubman woke up in his house he got a call from his father.

ON THE PHONE CALL📞:-
Shubman:-Hello papa.

Shubman's Dad:-Hello kake. Theek h tu?

Shubman:-Ji papa. Aap kaise ho mummy or Shahneel theek h.

Shubman's Dad:-Sab badhiya h puttar. Acha puttar maine yeh batane ko call kiya tha ki tuje toh pata h ki kal teri mummy ka birthday h.

Shubman:-Ji papa i remember.

Shubman's Dad:-Ab tuje teri mummy ka toh pata hi h she likes to celebrate her birthday every year only with u. Aur teri mummy ke ek koi khaas bachpan ki friend bhi rehti h Mumbai mein. She wanted to meet her for a long time. So we all booked a flight for Mumbai today.

Shubman:-Ohhh acha.(he said nervously)

Shubman's Dad:-What happened beta? Why r u sounding so tensed?

Shubman:-Nahi dad kuch nhi aap log aa jaiye.

Shubman's Dad:-Acha puttar hum bas airport ke liye nikal rahe h. We will reach Mumbai till the afternoon. Ok puttar bye.

Shubman:-Bye papa.

Shubman quickly got up from the bed and decided to inform Manya about his parents arrival.

Shubman:-Uhm Manya.

Manya:-Oh good morning Shubi.

Shubman:-G...good morning. Manya my parents our coming today Mumbai. You know na tomorrow is mummy's birthday so she likes to celebrate her birthday with me every year.

Manya:-Really. That's nice. Don't worry i will prepare delicious dishes for them today.

Shubman:-Hmm. Accha i am getting late i have to go for my practice session.

Manya:-Uhh Shubman i guess you should take a day off. Your parents are also coming you should stay at home.

Shubman:-No yaar Manya aur waise bhi ghar baith ke kya karunga. I need to go.

Manya:-Ohk.

AT PALLAVI's HOUSE:-

Ravi:-Pallavi aaj mummy papa ghar aa rahe h to stay with us for a few days.

Pallavi:-Ohk theek h.

Ravi:-Acha mumma keh rahe thhe unki koi friend aane wali h kal. Toh shayad hume unke ghar bhi jana pade.

Pallavi:-No issue. We will go. Right now i have to leave for my work now.

The next day Ravi with his entire family reaches to a house. Ravi's mom wanted to meet her friend today specially because it was her birthday. She wanted to surprise her.

As they knocked the door to their house Shubman immediately opened it. He got shocked seeing Pallavi and his family here. Pallavi's eyes widened in surprise.

Ravi:-Arey Shubman we didn't knew it was your house.

Ravi's Mom:-Arey bache Shubman ki mumma hi toh meri best friend h.

Shubman:-Aap log please andar aaiye.

Shubman's Mom:-Arey yaar tuje bade time baad dekha h.

Ravi's Mom:-Aur kya yaar happy birthday Keart. Yeh le tera gift.

Shubman's Mom:-Arey iski kya zaroorat thi.

Manya:-Aap log please baithye mein abhi dinner lekar aati hu.

They all settled down on the dining table. Pallavi and Shubman were completely nervous. This sudden entire family meeting just gave them a shock. As they all settled down on the dining chairs they both kept stealing glances at each other.

Ravi's Dad:-Wah Manya beta kya khana banaya h.

Manya:-Thanks uncle.

Everyone started to chatter about here and there but Pallavi and Shubman sat down quietly.

Ravi's Dad:-Arey Shubman bete tum bhi kuch baat karo. Tum toh chup chap baithe ho.

Manya:-Arey uncle ji koi fayda nahi h. Shubman sirf apni marzi se baat karta h.

Ravi's Dad:-Aapke husband ke sense of humour ka kuch karna padega. Has lo bete has lo. Hasoge toh maroge nhi. Aur agar mar bhi gaye toh haste haste maroge.

Shubman's Mom:-Arey Shubman bachpan se hi aisa h. Moody. Apne papa pe gaya h na isliye.

Shubman's Dad:-Isliye toh itna acha h.

Ravi's Dad:-Arey Shubman beta kuch bolna nahi toh at least Manya ke khane ki tareef hi kardo.

Shubman:-Mein toh hamesha hi tareef karta hu but aaj literally Manya you cooked really delicious food.

Ravi's Dad:-Tareef tareef mard jab tareef kare toh sirf 2 hi baatein ho skti ya toh woh jhooth bol raha h ya toh woh kuch chupa raha h.

Manya:-Really but Shubman ne toh aaj meri tareef kari h toh kya muje darne ki zaroorat h?

Shubman:-Actually haan hai Manya.

Everyone got tensed after his remark.

Shubman:-Yahan sab bohat baatein kar rahe h rishton ki baatein kar rahe h but rishte baaton se nahi halaaton se bante hai. Actually koi nahi jaanti ki koi kyun koi jhooth bolta h kyun rishton se bahar pyaar ho jaata h. Koi nahi janta mein bhi nhi janta mere saath aise kyun hua. Par hua h.
Manya muje kisi aur se pyaar ho gaya h. I am in love with someone else. I am sorry Manya but yahin sach h. Aur jis ladki se pyaar hua h woh yahin h right here. (He shifts his gaze towards Pallavi) woh Pallavi hai.

Everyone got shocked by his sudden revelation. Pallavi couldn't believe what he said.

As Shubman took the wine glass to drink it his gaze went towards Ravi's father.

Shubman:-Kya hua Mr.Sinha no sense of humour. I was just joking ye ha ha ha.

Manya:-Shubman that was not funny. Main tumhe maar dalungi.

Ravi:-Arey Manya tum kya maarti main maarne wala tha. Shubman you r a bit crazy. (He said laughing lightly)

Ravi's Father:-Good joke, good joke.(he said looking towards Shubman in a serious tone)

AT THE PRACTICE GROUND NEXT DAY:-

Pallavi:-Kya ho gaya tha tumhe kal raat. What the hell were you saying. You didn't even thought about me for a second.

Shubman:-Why r u stressing out nothing happened na.

Pallavi:-Why am i stressing out. Agar Ravi ko pata chal jata toh usko kaise face karti mein.

Shubman:-Acha acha sorry yaar. I was just messing around.

Pallavi:-Tumhare messing around ke chakkar mein problem mein aa sakte thhe hum kal.

Shubman:-Acha bol raha hu na sorry.(he said hugging her)

As they pulled away from the hug their gaze went towards Ravi's father standing there.

They both got frozen over there. He came closer to both of them.

Ravi's Dad:-Chalo beta.(he said to Pallavi)

They both reached to their house. The entire way they didn't spoke to each other.

Ravi:-Oh aap log aa gaye waspis. Oh Pallavi main tumhe batana bhul gaya tha ki aaj papa practice ground aane wale thhe. They wanted to see your workspace.

Pallavi:-Ohhh.(she said in a meek voice)

Ravi's father went inside his room. He cannot forget the picture of Shubman and Pallavi hugging. Suddenly he started to pant heavily. His wife came inside the room immediately and saw him in such situation.

Ravi's Mom:-Arey aap theek h. Ravi Pallavi( she shouted)

Ravi:-What happened mummy. Papa oh god i guess we should go to hospital.

They all rushed to the hospital. Doctor immediately admitted him.

After half an hour as the doctor came out of the operation theatre, he announced that Ravi's father is about to die.

They all started to cry.

Ravi:-What r u saying doctor?

Doctor:-Sorry but he got a major heart attack. We all tried our best but sorry we can't save his life. We all are sorry.

Ravi went inside the operation theatre to see his father. He started to cry heavily.

Ravi:-Da...dad

Ravi's Dad:-Bet...beta apni mummy ka dhyaan rakhna.

Ravi:-W...why dad please don't go.

Ravi's Dad:-Bete bhagwan ke bulawe ko kaise mana kar sakte h.

Soon, Pallavi came inside the operation theatre and Ravi went outside to console his mom. Pallavi came close and sat near Ravi's father.

Pallavi:-I wanted to apologise, Papa. But apologies are for mistakes. What's the punishment for selfishness?

Ravi's Dad:-I am a father beta. Saza nahi salah de sakta hu. Leave Ravi. You don't love him. By being with him like this, you are keeping him away from his true love. These incomplete relationships will bring happiness to no one.

Pallavi:-Papa....

Ravi's Dad:-Galti tumhari nahi hai beta.

She bursted in tears listening to him. She blamed herself for his condition today.

Suddenly Ravi's mom came inside. She held his hand with tears in her eyes. Suddenly the ECG machine beeped and Ravi's father took a deep breath which indicated that he died.

They all bursted their tears out.
