A week later Bucky and Willow were sitting on the couch in front of their small TV, watching the news. Bucky was laying sideways on the couch, his head on Willow's lap; Willow was absently running her fingers through his hair. Steve had ordered them to wait in their apartment, to stay put until this whole HYDRA thing blew over. So essentially, they were sitting helpless, watching the video footage of Captain America jumping through a window and then vanishing in the crowded streets. This footage was from an hour ago, and the station played it over and over again along with the caption 'CAPTAIN AMERICA CONFIRMED HYDRA AGENT?'

 "It's not true Willow," Bucky said, staring up at Willow. 

"Duh." Then Willow went silent, her eyes clouding over with thought.

 A loud knock at the door jolted them both, and Bucky leapt up, sprinting over to the door. Willow had managed to drag herself into her wheelchair by the time Steve and Sam had stumbled in. Steve had ash on his face, and was leaning on Sam; he looked sadly at Willow, "I'm sorry to do this to you. I didn't want to involve either of you."

 "It's not a problem. Get inside," Willow said briskly, locking the door behind the two. 

Bucky followed Steve and Sam into the living room, obviously concerned for his friend. "Does anyone need medical attention? Willow can patch you up."

"We're fine. Thanks Buck."

 Willow shot a sharp look at Steve, then turned to speak to Bucky "I'm calling Tallulah." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Bucky nodded, knowing it would be pointless to argue otherwise.

 "Steve, what's going on?" Bucky asked, sitting down on the edge of the couch across from Steve.

"Honestly, I'm not completely sure. Apparently I'm a HYDRA agent. HYDRA's released a bunch of propaganda, and now SHIELD wants me in for questioning. But good old HYDRA also leaked that info to the FBI and the NSA," Steve said slowly. 

"Well that's great. Everyone and their uncle wants you behind bars," Willow said, wheeling into the living room. "Lulu's on her way over. I can get Sam and Steve some clean clothes, those soot covered ones won't make blending in any easier."

"Thanks Willow," Sam said, standing up, "I'll help."

 The two exited the room, leaving Bucky and Steve alone. Bucky turned to Steve, "You are my best friend, and you've never given me any reason to think your a HYDRA agent. Even if you were, I would stand with you. You know that, right?"

 Steve put a hand on Bucky's shoulder, "Of course Buck. Thank you. I'm sorry for dragging you and Willow into this. Speaking of Willow, have you asked her yet?"

"Now doesn't seem like the right time. When all this is over, then I'll ask."

 Willow wheeled back into the room, and tossed a grey t-shirt and a pair of jeans at Steve, "Catch."

"Thanks Willow," Steve grabbed the clothes and headed for the bathroom to change. 

  Willow had given Sam some of her brother's clothes that he'd left in her apartment. Warren and Sam were about the same size, and she'd dug out some of the clothes Bucky never wore for Steve. She doubted Steve could fit into Warren's clothes.

 Willow cornered Steve as he left the bathroom, her wheelchair blocking the hall way. "Steve."

"Is everything okay Willow?"

 Willow's normally joking tone was gone, and her voice was dead serious, "You are Bucky's best friend, and you've been a good friend to me since I joined SHIELD. So the last thing I want to think is that your a HYDRA agent, I'm choosing to give you the benefit of the doubt. But I want you to swear to me that your not HYDRA, swear to me that you didn't have any part in what they did to Bucky."

"Willow if you don't trust me, you have my permission to read my mind and see that I'm telling the truth," Steve said gently.

"I trust you, which is why I haven't already been inside your head. So swear to me."

"I swear."

"Then I believe you, and I'll do everything within my power to help you."
