Attack of Titans

•Chapter Five•

2 Years Later

Perseus dashed through a lush forest dodging animals and fallen logs, the young prince jumped over a dead log still running at inhumane speeds. To the naked eye Perseus was but a blur of blue spreading a sea like mist as he raced through the whole of Greece. Perseus could easily Mist Travel, thought the young prince. But it was fun running through Greece, once again thought Perseus.

A large scale mountain stood at the very center of the ancient lands of Greece. The mountain touched the clouds its tip hitting the cloudy like atmosphere. The young prince turned into a sea mist as the gassy substance shot through the plains going up the large mountain in a sea breeze. Perseus appeared in a throne like room made of gold with twelve powerful presence resonating throughout the room.

"You called" Perseus asked raising his eyebrow, the twelve Olympians nodded their heads looking at the young son of Poseidon, nervous faces were etched across he gods and goddesses' faces

"We have called this meeting to warn all children of the gods about the upcoming war" Zeus stated

"What war, you mean like an all out war" Heracles asked, Perseus rolled his eyes towards the Son of Zeus

"Yes Heracles, a war means an all out war, what did you think it was, a snowball war?" Perseus asked Heracles teasing the son of Zeus

"Watch it Perseus, I'm the greatest demigod alive, you would want to test my strength" Heracles stated

"What Strength?, I never recalled you had any" Perseus retorted

"Enough, you two calm down this is a serious matter" Hades commanded, the two demigods effectively shut their mouths

"Anyways, be prepared, monster attacks can be more frequent, and if the time comes, you need to help aid in the battle for Olympus" Zeus said.

"But who will we be fighting" Theseus asked the council with a questioning glance

"The Titans" Poseidon stated gloomily. The whole throne room was at a nervous silence, even the talkative Apollo was quiet. Perseus never imagined he would live to see the day that he would see Titans, let alone fight them. Perseus couldn't hide it but he was nervous, the young prince could definitely fight, but fight the Titans, that in itself is suicide

"If no one else is gonna add anything, I now declare this meeting adjourned" Zeus stated his theatrics taking over. In a flash of lightning Zeus instantly dissapeared into a bright flash, Hades turned into shadows, Demeter  dissapeared in a flash of green leaving a small sapling in her wake, Athena turned into grey light and dissapeared. The rest were just normal flashing, but there was one goddess who was still in the throne room.

Artemis shrinked to human size walking up to the young prince, Perseus gave Artemis a small smile which Artemis was grateful for. With all the things happening all at once the moon goddess had nothing but stress in her hands

"So Artemis, what do we do now, what about the Hunt" Perseus asked

"The hunt will be okay, they are an elite force to be reckoned with, besides they were trained by you and me" Artemis stated

"Yeah, but everything we worked for might just come crashing down" Perseus said nervously rubbing his neck nervously.

"Don't worry about that, I'm a goddess, you are son of the big three, we can work something out" Artemis said, Perseus smiled at Artemis gratefully. A demigod approached the two best friends while they were talking, the son of Zeus himself

"What are you, Artemis Goddess of Chastity, Maidens, The Hunt, and Moon doing with that sea scum" Heracles gloated "You should be with a real man like me"

Artemis turned red with fury and charged Heracles, Perseus quickly got in between the two 

"Artemis, stop its not worth it, besides Zeus would have my head for this, you would want me to die would you" Perseus said

"Yeah you should listen to that sea scum, you can't kill me, I'm the mighty Heracles" The son of Zeus boasted

"You moon goddess is nothing compared to my power, don't get me mad or you will face the wrath of the mighty Heracles" The demigod boasted, Perseus looked at the son of Zeus with a murdurous glance

"What did you say" Perseus said

"I said that moon goddess is nothing compared to m-" Perseus charged Heracles sending a punch at the son of Zeus, the demigod staggered backward in the sheer amount of force the son of Poseidon exerted. Heracles sent bolts of lightning towards Perseus, a tidal wave of water seemingly sprouted out of nothing absorbing the electricity, the tidal wave surged toward the son of Zeus almost drowning and electrocuting him if not for Perseus releasing his control over the wave.

"Don't ever make me and Artemis mad, because next time you anger me or her, there is nothing going to stop us" Perseus deadpaned at the demigod son of Zeus. The demigod nodded vigorously, he nodded his head so fast his head would've fallen off. Artemis grabbed Perseus' hand and flashed them back to the hunt.

A Few Months Later

Perseus walked through the encampment  of The Hunt, it was somewhere in the land of Athens, or well close to Athens as far as Perseus could tell. The demigod walked through the busy Hunt, hunters alike were gathering fire wood and packing up their tents. It was time to move again, maybe somewhere near Atlantis, or maybe somewhere near Thebes. Anywhere is fine, Perseus thought. The Prince of the sea spotted the woman he was looking for

Perseus jogged up to Artemis waving at the goddess of the moon, Artemis turned towards Perseus giving the demigod a smile.

"So where are we headed now?" Perseus asked

"Dunno really, maybe we could set up camp at a forest near Thebes, or completely go away from the cities and towns and settle on a forest far away from civilization" Artemis pondered

"I think it's best if we went to Thebes" Perseus suggested, the demigod prince continued "Besides with the Titans rising, we dunno what to expect from them"

Artemis nodded in understanding "Then Thebes it is"

"I'm thinking we could go near the town at the very edge of Thebes, there is also a forest near there" Artemis added, Perseus nodded in agreement.

"Then it's settled, I'll go inform the hunters" Artemis stated and walked off into the heart of the hunters encampment.

A Few Hours Later

The Hunters walked In a uniform line with Artemis and Perseus on the lead, Artemis had her bow slinged behind her back. The twenty four hunters followed behind their two co leaders wearing silver clothing and with bows strapped behind their backs, quivers filled to the brim with arrows accompanied their weapon preference. Perseus was the only one with a sword in the whole hunters of Artemis group.

A small town stood at the very edge of The border of Thebes, the elite group approached the small village talking about all the stuff that happened in the last few weeks. Like a horrific movie all of them including Perseus and Artemis stopped dead in their tracks. The towns were lit aflame, corpses littered the stone pavement of the rural village. Blood stained the houses of the town, power resonated throughout the whole village that the Hunters staggered back in the sheer amount of power. 

In the center of all the destruction was a divine deity. An evil look and gleam at the eyes of the deity, Perseus couldn't quite put the puzzle pieces together but little by little he's gotten a step closer to knowing the mans identity. The man turned towards the elite group of maidens and Perseus.

"Your too late Olympian and Hunter, this is just the beginning, it marks the start of the war" The man said and dissapeared without a trace, something on Perseus mind clicked

"Perseus, what was that" Artemis said gobsmacked

"That, I believe is Kronos" Perseus said grimly

"That's Kronos, you mean like the Titan Kronos" Artemis questioned her eyes as wide as saucers, Perseus nodded.

"We have to inform the council, and by we I mean you, now flash yourself and call a council meeting, I will take care of the Hunters" Perseus said, Artemis nodded and with a flash she was gone leaving silver light in her wake. Perseus turned at the group of deadly maidens

"Now, we have had a major problem going on so I'm going to mist travel you all to a safe location, your stomach might get queasy" Perseus stated, the group formed a circle all holding hands like it was a ritual. The group dissapeared into mist traveling at high speeds throughout Greece. The Hunters of Artemis landed with a thud on the forest dirt.

"Set up camp here, I will make a magic barrier" Perseus said to the hunters and left in a sprint. Perseus chanted in Ancient Greek the vicinity glowing a sea green aura. The light continued to get brighter and brighter until it was blinding. The light died down leaving a spherical shield around the hunters encampment, the aura of magic. Perseus remembered when Hecate taught him how to use the spell. 

Perseus jogged back to the hunters encampment to see all of the tents were already in place. Dozens of tents littered the area, a campfire in the middle of it all, Perseus turned his head into the oldest Hunter in the group.

"Zoë your in charge of the Hunt while I'm gone okay" Perseus stated

"Yes Perseus, but where will you be heading off to?" Zoë asked

"To Mount Olympus" 

Perseus mist travelled his body turning into literal mist zooming through the plains and into mount Olympus in a millisecond. Perseus landed on the gold floor of the Olympian throne room. All of the gods were seated on their thrones of power all giving off a powerful aura. Artemis had a nervous look on her face, Apollo was beside her sister looking worried about his older sibling.

"Why have you called this meeting daughter" Zeus asked

"While Me, Perseus and my Hunters were traveling to Thebes we saw a small village near it burned to the ground, corpses were littered everywhere" Artemis stated

"So, maybe that was just a rival kingdom raiding the village" Ares suggested with a shrug, Artemis shook her head at her step brother's stupidity

"No you fool, the one who did it was Kronos" Artemis stated, gasps rung throughout the Olympian council.

"Are you sure of this daughter?" Zeus questioned, Artemis gave a small nodded.

"He mentioned something about the war officially beginning" Artemis added.

"Then, prepare yourselves, for this will be a war we can never come out unscathed" Zeus said dismissing the council. 

A Few Weeks Later

Perseus wore Atlantean Armour his sword at its scabbard. Twelve mighty gods stood at the front of Mount Olympus guarding the entrance to Olympus. The twelve deities wore Greek Regalia that was suited for a King and Queen, the armor they wore was as hard as Celestial Bronze. Even tougher than that actually.

A whole army of Greek demigods stood behind the Olympian gods ready to fight the battle of the century. If they were to fall and Olympus would be destroyed the whole Greek pantheon would crumble to dust, Olympus was the main source of power, like the roots of the Greek Pantheon. It being destroyed would be devastating for Greece.

An army of monsters stood at the edge of the battlefield. Kronos and his Titans were all in the front lines their symbol of power in hand.

"Surrender now Olympian, I might even spare you if you do, if you resist, we will kill and torture you" Kronos said swinging his scythe

"Never Kronos, you deserve to rot in Tartarus" Hades spat

"Then so be it" Kronos said, the monsters charged with vigor racing through the battlefield wanting demigod for breakfast.

"Demigods, today is the day you protect what is right, this is the day you will either die in glory or die in misery, never concede to the enemy, always fight for your family, For Olympus!" Poseidon screamed. The demigods cheered and screeched like banshees.

The gods flew and went to battle the Titans, while the demigods were remaining to fend off the monsters. Perseus got a hair clip instantly it turned into a celestial bronze sword named Anaklusmos. Perseus dodged a bite from a hellhound merely inches from eating his head whole. Perseus sliced at the hellhound the monster dissapearing into dust and returning back to Tartarus. Perseus charged and sliced a cyclops clean in half with Riptide.

The son of Poseidon ran towards a demigod son of Hermes and pushed him out of the way just as an arrow pierced the spot where the son of Hermes was in.

"Watch yourself, be quick on your feet, next time you won't be so Lucky" Perseus said helping the demigod up. Perseus patted the boy in the shoulder and went to battle some more monsters. Perseus hacked and slashed like there was no tomorrow, to every monster and demigod, he was like a blur of death killing every monster in his path. Perseus would hack and slash, help a demigod or two on the way and go back to killing monsters, this was why he did the Atlantean training, to help people and demigods alike. Downside is, he is known as Sha-Shwam-Bam.

A hydra looked at Perseus with its reptilian eyes. It's three heads getting ready to spot fire and poison towards Perseus. One of the heads spewed Fire from its mouth. Perseus manipulated the water on the creek and used it as a wall to block the fire. The hydra screeched in frustration and spewed Posion. Perseus dodged as the poison burned the grass near him. Perseus approached the middle head of the hydra and sliced the head down

"Theseus a little help!" Perseus screamed to his nearby friend, the hero looked to Perseus with a nod

"Sure thing" Theseus said, Theseus tossed Perseus his torch which Perseus used to cauterize the open wound decapitation. The monster turned into a yellow powdered dust. Perseus looked at the battle to see the demigods were losing badly. Even though Perseus was doing his best, many demigods still fell at the hands of the monsters. Perseus cursed and killed a hellhound that was about to kill another demigod.

"At this rate we will lose and the monsters will take Olympus" Theseus said grimly

"We need to somehow kill all the monsters in the vicinity without harming any demigods" Perseus mused while fighting

"But how, were both Son's of Poseidon and I know that if we make a tidal wave, it will wipe out both Demigod and Monster" Theseus added

"Unless" Perseus mused "I got it"

"Orpheus, come over here we need you" Perseus shouted

"What Perseus" Orpheus said jogging up to the son of Poseidon, a bow was stringed over the son of Apollo's back

"I need you to play your hypnotizing music and bring all the monsters at that specific spot" Perseus said pointing to the place faraway from the demigods

"Sure thing" Orpheus said pulling out his lyre. Orpheus played a sad melancholy tune so perfect that the monsters stopped in their tracks to listen to the music. The monsters were so immersed they moved without a control in their body and went to the exact spot where Perseus pointed them.

"Now Theseus, how about a big tidal wave contest to see who could make the biggest tidal wave" Perseus challenged, Theseus nodded in delight.

"Nice music Orpheus" Theseus complimented, a look of utter concentration went over Theseus' face as the water on the nearby lake rose up and formed a big wave.

"Nice one Theseus, now it's my turn" Perseus said with a smile. The son of Poseidon controlled the water on another nearby lake forming a big tsunami, the two bodies of water slammed into each other drowning all of the monsters and turning them into fine monster dust. The two step brothers high fived.

"Guess I win" Perseus said

"No, I win did you see how big mine was, yours was like ten times smaller than mine" Theseus complained

"Yeah you need to get your eyes checked buddy" Perseus said with a smirk

"Good thing Orpheus was here, it would've been hard if he wasn't nearby" Theseus said patting Orpheus at the back.

The son of Apollo laughed "Guess it runs in the genes"

"Now rally up the demigods and wait for me at the entrance of Olympus, I still have something that needs to be done" Perseus stated and ran to where the gods and Titans were fighting. Perseus ran at a steady pace looking at the intense battle that was happening in front of him

"You will never win Olympians, I am far more powerful than you all are combined" Kronos said twirling his scythe

"We will never concede Kronos" Zeus said his master bolt sending volts of electricity towards Kronos. The Titan of time merely dodge the attack, Kronos looked at the Big Three with amusement

"That's the best you got, my kitten has more ferocity than you" Kronos mocked.

"Anywho time to end this" Kronos said and made a deadly arc towards Zeus, the God of the skies widened his eyes paralyzed on the spot. A trident intercepted the scythe mid air the point of the scythe mere millimeters from the gods face.

"You can't do that Kronos" Poseidon said, Hades appeared from the shadows and stopped Kronos at the side. The Titan of time screamed in pain, time seemed to freeze right in its tracks, the Olympians were all standing still their eyes as wide as saucers.

"You actually managed too injure me, no matter" Kronos said twirling his scythe

"Now who will I kill first" Kronos said with a grin plastered on his face, the Olympians faces were nothing but pure fear. Perseus couldn't stand the look of hopelessness in Artemis' face.

"Eeny" Kronos said moving through Zeus

"Meeny" He said passing by Poseidon

"Minny" Kronos said passing Hades

"Moe" Demeter flinched

"Pick" Kronos strolled through Hera

"A tiger" He said walking past Hestia

"By" He said while passing Athena

"it's toe" Ares gulped

"If it hollers, let him go" A bead of sweat passed down Hermes' face as Kronos passed him.

"My mother once told me" Kronos said passing Hephaustus 

"To pick, The very, best" Kronos said patting Aphrodite in the head, Aphrodite snarled.

"And you" Dionysus visibly paled

"Are" Kronos said passing Apollo

"It" Kronos stopped looking at Artemis (TWD anyone?)

"The first godly blood spilt" Kronos added, Kronos swung his scythe in a deadly arc going for a decapitation, a sword blocked the scythe mid air stopping Artemis from being decapitated.

"A demigod?" Kronos question, Perseus kicked the Titan of time and was sent flying into a tree. The Olympians broke out of the Time Spell and was now moving in normal speed

"Are you okay?" Perseus asked Artemis.

"I'm fine, just a bit queasy" Artemis said her face pale as snow.

"Don't fight, you need to regain your strength" Perseus stated laying Artemis down

"The Olympians will protect you" Perseus said standing up and facing the Titan of time. Perseus was nervous as hell, but when protecting his best friend he will brave anything

"That was a nice hit, but sorry for you, your just a lowly demigod" Kronos said. Kronos ran towards Perseus swinging his scythe at a deadly arc, Perseus avoided the attack with a roll on the side. Kronos quickly sent a kick towards Perseus sending the demigod flying. Perseus shook his head from the daze. Perseus was met with a jaw punch as he was sent again flying through a tree.

Perseus groaned at the pain and immense power of the Titan. The scythe came barreling towards Perseus. The demigod leaped out of the way, the scythe nipped the demigods shoulder. Perseus screamed in agony as pain overwhelmed his body. The scythe was something new and incredibly painful for the demigod. Perseus doubled over in pain clutching his wound. Kronos sent a roundhouse kick to Perseus as the demigod went flying to a rock. The demigod made a sickening crunch as the demigod made impact to the rock.

"You can't win demigod, your just a, well demigod" Kronos said maniacally. Kronos sent one last punch at Perseus' rib age, an audible crack was heard as the fist implanted with the demigods rib cage.

"Now to finish you off, you can never ever think of defeating me, I'm Kronos the Titan of time, your strongest gods can't defeat me, what, do you think you can defeat me?" Kronos said.

"No, I can't, I'm not powerful enough" Perseus said coughing up blood

"But, I do have enough power, to do this" Perseus said, Kronos made a confused face which then turned into one of pain. Kronos stood rooted on the spot his scythe dropping to the ground

"What are you doing to me?" Kronos said surprised. 

"It's, a secret" Perseus said with a smirk. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades rushed forward cutting Kronos into a million pieces. The other Olympians charged the Titans killing them with their weapons of power. Kronos' was butchered and chopped into a million pieces, The big three scattered the prices through the wind never to reform again.

Perseus smiled his mind going blank his eyes going dark. Perseus could feel someone shaking him, someone close to him. Perseus couldn't piece as to who it was maybe it was Artemis, it was probably Artemis. Perseus went into a complete shut down his mind going blank.
