Escape and Meeting a Devil

My name is (Y/N) Schnee, I'm ten years old and I honestly hated my life, I'm the twin brother of Winter Schnee, and supposed to be big brother to my little sister Weiss, and my family has started to fall apart and I'm being used as the punching bag for everyone...

Father considers me a failure because I haven't been able to use the Glyphs that our family is famous for, I don't understand why I can't do it, all I know is I feel like there's a block stopping me from using them, because of that he'd lock me away in my room and beat me calling me a failure, my twin sister Winter can use them, and she uses me as a way to practice her glyphs on, freezing my legs, hitting me with a practice sword, and calling me all sorts of horrible names, even Weiss picks on me, either throwing things at me or yelling insults at me, blaming me for things she did wrong so I'd get in trouble with dad, and mom? She doesn't even care...

All she does is drink her wine and tell me to leave her alone, ever since the day she threw a bottle and screamed at me I didn't bother going anywhere near her anymore, dad had admitted that he only married her for her money and name she's been miserable, and my sisters all picked on me much more and hurt me a lot, and I was usually locked up in my room to be kept out of everyone's way, but right now I was in the library trying to read a book in the quiet.

"(Y/N)!" I heard a very hated voice call from the doorway to the library, I looked over to see Winter and Weiss glaring at me from the doorway.

"I need you to help me practice my summoning, come with us at once!" Winter demanded, I started to worry about this, having her use her Glyphs on me was bad enough, I don't want her using her summons on me too!

"N-No, I'm not doing that anymore" I said back, she narrowed her eyes at me and walked over before grabbing my ear and trying to drag me to the training room.

"What did you just say to me, you worthless waste of skin!?" she demanded, I dragged my feet and pushed her to make her let go, she looked at me with anger in her eyes before she slapped me hard across the cheek.

"You DARE to defy me!? I'll make you pay!" she said as she pulled out her sword and a big Glyph appeared next to her, from inside it came a big white Beowolf which snarled at me menacingly.

"Teach him some respect Winter!" Weiss cheered from her spot at the doorway, my eyes widened as the Beowolf came closer.

I tried to focus and use a Glyph but I felt the familiar feeling of hitting a wall and opened my eyes just in time to be hit hard by the Grimm, I flew across the room and hit the floor hard rolling into a wall before the Grimm came after me and slashed me with it's claws, I screamed in pain as blood oozed from the cuts across my chest and stained my white clothes red.

I looked over and saw winter and Weiss just smirking at me as Winter's Beowolf attacked and mauled me, finally it stopped and I was left laying on the floor as blood came from my cuts, I saw Winter walk over and stomp on my chest as she glared down at me.

"Your just a pretend Schnee, you can't use the Glyphs that everyone else can, so you definitely won't be able to summon, your the useless one of the family, probably won't even be able to do anything for the company, you'll probably end up thrown into the mines with the other workers" she said to me, I could hear a lot of anger in her voice, why did she hate me so much? I thought twins were supposed to love each other and get along all the time?

"Yeah! You should be happy Winter even lets you train with her, after all if you can't even use Glyphs, what use are you?" Weiss said in a bratty voice.

"Shut up..." I said quietly, Winter pressed her foot down harder on me as she glared angrily.

"What was that?" she asked angrily.

"I said SHUT. UP! Your the worthless ones here, always picking on me for no reason, attacking me and making me feel bad because I can't use Glyphs, you and that brat are the ones who should be thrown into the Dust Mines!" I yelled back as I pushed her foot off of me and quickly stood back up, giving both of them an angry glare of my own, Winter grit her teeth and raised her hand to slap me again but I caught her arm.

"Get your hand off of me you worthless boy!" Winter yelled as she tried to pull her arm out of my grip, I felt a sharp pain in my shin and looked down to see Weiss kicking me in the leg.

"Let my big sister go you monster!" she said as she went to kick me again, I gave her a good shove and she tumbled away landing a little bit away before she started to cry, I have to admit I felt a little bad about making her cry but I didn't want her to kick me anymore, I looked at Winter to see her staring at me with hate in her eyes.

"Weiss! You disgusting thing, how dare you push Weiss! Your not my brother! I wish you'd never been born!" Winter yelled at me angrily, I felt a very sharp pain in my chest at her words, I had hoped that whatever it was that she and everyone else was mad at me for could be sorted out, but now, I just felt so mad at what she said I lost all control and punched her in the nose, Winter fell down holding her nose in shock at what I had just done, I heard Weiss gasp in shock that I had just punched my twin sister.

"Master (Y/N), what are you doing!?" came a familiar voice as I turned and saw Klein, the family butler, and probably the only person in this house I even liked, along with my father who was looking at me with narrowed eyes.

"I've had it Klein! These two are always attacking me and calling me names!" I yelled as I pointed at Winter who was holding her bleeding nose, as well as Weiss who had tears falling down her cheeks.

"Liar! Th-That animal attacked Wiess, I was trying to stop him and he attacked me too!" Winter said as she pretended to be hurt, Weiss just nodded her head as tears fell down her cheeks, before I could say anything I was hit by something hard, I fell to the ground and looked up to see father standing above me glaring at me angrily.

"Young man, it's bad enough I have to tolerate your presence in my house, and have to go through calling you my son, but I will not have you attacking the heir to my company, especially since you cannot contribute anything worthwhile to this family! Klein, take him back to his room and lock the door, I'll deal with him later on" father said as he took Weiss and Winter away with him, I looked down sadly as I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Come Master (Y/N), let's get you cleaned up..."Klein said sadly, he would listen to me when I had problems with my family, he always tried to convince me to make things work with my sisters, after a long walk through the halls we reached my room and Klein helped to bandage my cuts and bruises, however it wasn't really necessary since for some reason even though I healed pretty fast, I guess my aura must be pretty strong.

"Why do they hate me so much Klein? What did I ever do to them? Why don't they love me?" I asked sadly as I felt tears of my own build in my eyes.

"I cannot say for sure Master (Y/N)..." Klein said with a sigh.

"But I cannot blame you for punching up mistress Winter, however you'll need to apologise to her if you want to try and make things right" he said as his personality shifted, I could tell because his eyes had changed colours.

"There's nothing right about this! Winter and Weiss are always picking on me or Winter uses her Glyphs and Summonings on me, dad just beats me and doesn't care since I can't do the glyphs Winter can, and Mom's just..." I said sadly

"I understand your upset, just try to give it some time, I'm certain Whitley would love to meet his older brother when he is older, he will need his big brother, I'll be back to check on you soon..." Klein said as he stood up and left my room, closing the door behind him, I lay down on my bed staring at the ceiling as I thought about everything that happened over the last few years, I just couldn't deal with it anymore, I don't want to spend the rest of my life as a punching bag for my sisters, or for dad to use me for something with his company, or to be ignored by my mother, and Whitley? They'd probably just keep me away from him and make him hate me too.

(What should I do? Should I leave? Even if father doesn't send me away to the Dust Mines I'll still have to deal with Winter and Weiss, and possibly be locked in my room all day for the rest of my life...) I thought about all of the abuse, the neglect and the heartache I got every. Single. Day in the hell hole from my so-called sisters and parents, and I decided I didn't want to put up with this anymore.

I clenched my fists angrily as I thought of all the abuse and pain my so-called family caused me, how they would lock me away in my dusty room for hours, refusing to let me out even for food, only feeding me every now-and-again and even then it's usually cold, almost expired leftovers, how my mom would ignore me and my sisters and father's abuse and bullying for her wine, how father would allow Winter to use me as a practice dummy or a punching bag, and how Weiss would follow her sister's example.

"No, I've had enough, I'm leaving this horrible place for good, tonight..." I said to myself as I planned my escape from this cage, I would leave this house, and this broken family and become powerful, so powerful that no-one would be able to stop me.

Then I'll come back here, and make them all feel the pain I've had to endure over the years!

LATER AT NIGHT, IN THE CITY OF ATLAS

Meanwhile down in the city of Atlas close by to the Schnee Estate, in a cafe sat a lone figure who was hidden beneath a brown cloak, he was drinking a cup of tea and a blue berry muffin when he felt something in the air, he paused as he sipped his tea and looked out into the night.

"I sense a demonic presence nearby, I should investigate, if the Demons are here then there must be a clue to my father's power here..." the person said in a stoic, near-emotionless voice, he stood up from his seat and walked out of the cafe down the dark, snowy streets as fresh snow fell from the dark sky.

As the cloaked figure walked through the street, the light of Remnant's shattered moon cast a demonic, distorted shadow behind him, as he walked another figure was following him from the shadows, it was a man wearing the uniform of an Atlas Military Specialist, his hair was black and he carried an upgraded handgun in a holster on his hip.

"That guy looks like trouble... I better report in to command" the figure said to himself as he watched the man as he walked down the streets of Atlas, he took out a hand-held radio and held it to his mouth.

"This is Specialist Ironwood, reporting in, I've found the target and will follow him to a secluded location to apprehend him, prepare to send in backup if needed" Ironwood said as he moved back into the shadows, following the mysterious cloaked figure to see what he was doing.

(Y/N)'S POV

I was laying in my bed pretending to be asleep, trying to ignore the pain in my body, Jaques had indeed come by and beaten me nearly senseless for attacking Winter, and said that I would have no food until I apologised for attacking her, that had just convinced me further that it was time for me to leave, right now.

I had been laying in bed for a while, waiting until it was dark out before I got up and started to pack up some of my clothes and a few other things I needed, I didn't have much since my parents barely bothered to get me any clothes or anything, I stuffed what I needed into a backpack and walked to the large windows in my room, I opened the windows and leaned outside to see the narrow ledge beneath the window, my path to freedom.

"Well... it's now or never" I said to myself as I carefully climbed out of the window and onto the ledge, I didn't bother to close the windows and went to move along the ledge, I held my breath as I moved along the ledge, keeping my eyes straight ahead with my back pressed against the wall, I was making good progress until I suddenly slipped on a patch of ice that had gathered on the ledge, almost making me fall off of the ledge!

"Oh SHIT! NO!" I said as panic took hold in my chest as I scrambled to grab hold of the ledge, my fingers dragged along the smooth stone and ice before I managed to grab hold of the ledge, leaving me hanging from the ledge several floors up from the ground, before I could think any better I looked down and saw a deep, dark abyss below myself, since it was night I had no idea just how high up from the ground I was, for all I knew if I let go I would plunge to my death!

I tried to pull myself up onto the ledge as my arms shook from the effort of me trying to pull my body, and the bag, back up onto the ledge, thinking that I had to think fast and save myself I tossed the backpack onto the ledge to reduce the weight I had to pull up, grunting with the effort I managed to swing my leg up onto the ledge and pulled myself up to safety.

I lay against the wall on the ledge, panting for breath as my heart hammered in my chest, my breaths leaving puffs of mist in the icy air, I sat on the ledge trying to calm my racing heart before I continued my escape, after a few minutes I finally managed to calm down and grabbed my backpack and continued along the ledge until I reached a pillar that was close to a lower part of the mansion, I thought about what I had to do to escape.

"Oh Oum... I have to jump don't I?" you said in a shaky voice as you saw the gap between the ledge and the rooftop, and because of the ledge being icy you couldn't get a running start first, you took your backpack off of your back and tossed it over the gap, the pack sailed through the air until it hit the roof with a light thump in the snow, you breathed shakily as you steeled yourself for the jump, either you'd make it and be closer to freedom, or you'd fall and possibly die.

You pressed yourself against the wall before you used it to launch yourself off of the ledge and into the cold, night air, you felt the wind rush past you as you were hurled through the air towards the rooftop, suddenly you started to feel your body falling downwards, mere feet from the edge of the roof, you felt fear overtake your body as you desperately reached out for the ledge, your hand managed to grasp the edge of the roof and the strap of your backpack when to your horror your fingers slipped from the ledge!

Your eyes widened in panic as you flailed your arms and legs trying to find something to grab onto to stop your fall, but all you felt was the cold air rushing past your back before your body hit the ground hard, you felt an indescribable pain in your body and arm, you knew instantly that you had broken at least two ribs, and broken your arm from the fall, your body radiated pain as you lay in the snow which had luckily broken your fall enough that you weren't dead, the pain was so bad that you couldn't even scream, all you could do was grit your teeth and try to get up.

As you moved your chest and back erupted in sheer agony, your mouth dropped open in a silent scream of pain as your eyes flared wide, you were able to get yourself onto one knee using your hand to support yourself as you tried to breath without making your ribs and back hurt, you contemplated giving up, of falling into the snow and letting yourself die from your injuries, then you recalled everything your 'sisters' had said to you, every time your so-called father had you beaten bloody or spoke of his shame that you were his son, the times you went to see your mother, only to receive her damned silence or be told to go away!

(NO! I REFUSE TO LET MYSELF DIE HERE!! I don't care what I have to do... I'll survive, and grow powerful! So powerful that everyone will tremble at my name! So powerful that I'll crush those bastards under my boot!) you thought to yourself as anger took hold over your body, you grit your teeth harshly as you forced yourself to stand up, ignoring the pain in your body as you stumbled towards the gates to the estate and opened them before running away into the cold Atlas night.

You stumbled through the dark night, the icy winds harshly whipping snow into your face and body, you shivered in the cold as you moved onwards, dragging your backpack behind you, leaving a trail in the snow behind you, as you walked the pain in your chest seemed to grow much, much worse, it would seem that your sister's attack earlier had used up more of your Aura than you thought, all you could do was grit your teeth as you breathed heavily, your warm breaths making clouds of steam appear in the cold air.

After walking for a while I eventually saw the lights of the city ahead, yet they seemed so far away from me, and they seemed to grow further and further away as I looked at them and tried to get closer to them, I took another step only to have a sharp stab of agony pierce my chest, making me groan in pain before falling to my knees into the snow, wrapping my arms around my chest as I breathed heavily, making the pain in my ribs much, much worse, my vision began to blur as I swayed from my spot in the snow.

"I-Is this it... h-have I-I made this d-decision- t-t-to escape and gr-grow stronger, o-only to die here in th-this wretched sn-snow?" I whispered to myself as I fought to stay awake, trying to ignore the agony in my ribs and force myself to stand and keep going, I didn't want to die here, but my situation was slowly worsening as I felt my hands turn numb from the cold, my entire body shivering violently from the icy winds rushing around me.

"How pathetic..." came a stoic voice from the dark and cold, I looked up with half lidded eyes, only to see a figure standing a short distance away from me, the figure walked closer but I couldn't make out any details due to the cloak he wore, with the hood pulled over his head, all I could see was the lower part of his face, which was set into a frown as he looked at me with a frown across his face.

"I sensed a power from the city below, and I travelled to find the source only to find a child on death's door, surely fate must be playing a cruel joke on me" the mysterious man said as his ice blue eyes gazed down at my shivering form, who is this guy?

"Perhaps I should just put you out of your misery, and use that power for myself" he said as the wrapped handle of a katana appeared from within his cloak, he took hold of the handle of the sword, drawing the blade as he approached me slowly.

My eyes went wide as he approached me with his katana drawn from it's sheath, I wanted so badly to run but my legs refused to answer my plight, I looked down as tears came to my eyes once again, perhaps it would be better for me to just die here and be free of my pain and my memories... then my head was filled with the voices of my former family, my father and sister's insults, my bastard father's beatings and neglect, my mothers dismissals and damned silence when I asked her for help or comfort, my sisters abuse treating me like I was some sort of punching bag for her Glyphs and Summonings, each of them filling my ten year old self with anger so intense I felt as if I were going to explode.

"I refuse..." I growled out, digging my fingers into the soft, cold snow on the ground, the man stopped when he was right in front of me, his sword still in hand, the blade reflecting the moonlight in the snow heavy winds.

"What was that?" the man asked in a stoic voice as I felt his gaze boring into me intensely.

"I absolutely refuse, I went through all that pain and abuse for all those years... I survived that, and I refuse to die here" I said as more memories filled my mind, every one of them adding fuel to the rising inferno that was my anger, I looked up at the man locking my eyes onto his own icy blue ones which you saw within his hood, I could have sworn I saw his eyes widen slightly as we looked at one another but it must have been a trick because his face still held that stoic, uncaring look it had before.

"I will grow stronger! I will gain the power I need, then I will destroy those monsters! Those things that say I'm their family, I'll come back and make them suffer worse than anything before!!" I said as I gritted my teeth in anger towards myself, suddenly the pain in my chest vanished as I felt a surge of power run through my body as I staggered back up onto my feet, glaring at the man trying to hide the trembling in my legs, refusing to look weak again, my breaths were heavy and rushed past my gritted teeth, my breaths out showing as mist in the freezing air as I clenched my frozen fists tightly, so tight in fact that I felt my nails cut into the palms of my hands, staining the white snow with warm, crimson drops of my blood.

The man looked at me for a while, his face unreadable from the darkness of his hood, he raised up the sword and carefully re-sheathed the blade, confusing me a lot, did he change his mind about killing me or something?

I stood in the snow storm not feeling the cold on my skin, or any pain in my chest and back anymore, which was a relief since I may have to run if he tries to attack me again, I just kept my eyes on the man in front of me, watching to see what he would do as I told him about what those, people, had done to me.

"Those people are not my family, I want nothing to do with them anymore! Not after they-" you started with anger laced into my voice.

"That's none of my concern" the man in the cloak suddenly snapped, making me stop talking as I looked at him in surprise.

"Huh? wha-what do you-?" I said, unsure what to say or do after he said that so bluntly.

"I have no interest in your past, it is irrelevant to what is happening now and in the days to come, focusing upon your past and the bad things you went through is something a weak human would do, you should forget what they did and focus more on gaining power for yourself, so you can come back and make them suffer" the man in the cloak said in a cold, stoic voice, I was kind of surprised by how blunt and uncaring he seemed about me being abused by my former family.

At first I thought he must be the type that doesn't care, then as I thought about it more, I found myself agreeing with what he said, if I held onto what they did to me all it would do is make me look like a victim, I don't want to be a victim any more.

"I guess your right, I shouldn't let what they did consume me... I just need to find a way to gain power, I can't learn here or they'll send me back to them and I won't get away again..." I said, it was very true, if I went to anyone in Atlas they would send me back to my 'family' in hopes of getting a reward for my return.

"Why do you seek power, is it to prove something to those worthless humans?" the man asked me curiously, I wondered what he meant by calling them humans, maybe he was a Faunas or something? I looked down in thought, what point would proving myself to them mean? Nothing.

"NO! I don't have to prove anything to anyone but myself, I'm doing this for myself, to prove that I'm not weak, or worthless, or a waste of life, to prove to myself and myself alone that they are wrong, all I need, is more power!" I said truthfully, looking up at where the man's face would be, right into his eyes which were in the darkness of his hood, still holding the katana in his hand.

"I see... then it would be best if you were to follow me" the man said as he sheathed his sword.

"What?" I asked looking at him in surprise, I stayed on guard since he had just been ready to kill me a few seconds ago, but deep down I knew that I wouldn't be able to do much since my combat skills were pretty much non-existent, as well as my training with Aura and lack of a Semblance.

"Follow me, and under my training you will gain the power you desire so much" the man said as he stared at me, I looked away thinking about his offer, this was the first time someone has acknowledged me as a person rather than a punching bag, or a living training dummy, however I stopped my thoughts when I saw him turn his back to me and walk away into the snowstorm, leaving me behind in the snow.

"Come with me, or stay here, it's your choice" he said before he continued onwards, his figure vanishing into the snowy wind, I looked down in thought and quickly made up my mind and rushed after him, I reached his side and kept pace beside him as he walked into the snowstorm.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

You stuck close to the man in the cloak as he walked calmly through the snow storm, you shivered slightly as you walked, some of the snow melted into the clothes you were wearing, making you very uncomfortable and more than likely to end up with a cold, or worse a flu.

As the two walked through the snow a certain man was watching them, his eyes widening at the sight of you as you walked alongside the man in the cloak, he put his fingers to the ear piece he was wearing and contacted Atlas Command.

"This is specialist Ironwood, the suspicious individual has a member of the Schnee family alongside him, (Y/N) Schnee, possible hostage situation, please send back up" Ironwood said as he watched you and the mysterious cloaked stranger walk through the snow, away from the city and the Schnee Mansion towards a nearby cliff.

"Copy that Specialist Ironwood, dispatching a platoon of AK130's to your position, bring the young man back to command so we can return him to his family" a voice responded from Ironwood's commlink.

"Understood..." the young man responded with a nod and quickly went to follow the possible abductor, thinking to save the kidnapped Schnee boy and return him to his family, meanwhile the young boy and older man walked through the snow.

"So, where are we going? I mean I've never been out of the mansion before so I don't-" (Y/N) said as he tried his best to keep pace beside the older man, nearly stumbling a few times on the uneven ground.

"We are going to a place where you can learn to draw out the power in your blood" the man responded, effortlessly walking through the snow, hiding his katana under his cloak.

"A-And if I f-fail...?" (Y/N) asked nervously, the man didn't respond to his question, allowing the answer to hang in the air, making the young boy feel slightly more nervous about failing, his mind started to give voice to the doubts and insecurities that he had picked up over the years where he was abused and neglected, his body shaking slightly as he worried about being seen as a failure yet again.

The two continued to walk when the older man suddenly stopped, he turned his head to look back while (Y/N) stopped a few steps in front of him, he went to ask what was happening when the sound of engines could be heard over the icy wind, suddenly an army of Atlas's AK130 Robots surrounded them both.

"Halt! Surrender (Y/N) Schee and surrender yourself!" Ironwood said as he appeared at the head of the force of Robots, the AK130's all aimed their guns at the cloaked man, (Y/N) looked around worriedly, he was afraid that these people would send him back to his family, he backed away until he was standing close to the man in the cloak, watching the AK130's and the agent with wide, worried eyes.

The man flicked the thumb on his left hand, unsheathing his katana before he vanished in a flash of blue, leaving his cloak behind, (Y/N) looked up and finally saw the man who he was following, he was a man with pale skin and white hair that was swept back, making his face seem fierce yet even more stoic than his voice portrayed, he also had blue eyes that were cold and calculating, he wore a long blue coat with three coattails, with silver buttons, and snake patterns around the collar and shoulders.

"Woah, that's such a cool looking coat..." (Y/N) whispered to himself as he looked at the stranger, he also had a blue ascot wrapped around his neck over a black vest which showed off his muscles, he also had a brown belt with a silver buckle, dark green pants that had a scale pattern on them and tall, brown boots that came up to just below his knees with gold buckle straps.

He resheathed his sword, letting out a long breath before the sword clicked as it was fully sheathed, suddenly at least five AK130's fell to pieces and exploded as the rest of the Robots and Ironwood turned to look at the man, he suddenly rushed through the Robots slashing them apart effortlessly as if he were cutting through paper, with the man sheathing his blade before slashing at the Robots with quickdraw slashed straight from the sheath.

The man had managed to destroy more than half of the assembled Ak130's in less than a minute, his speed was amazing! (Y/N) watched with stars in his eyes as the man pretty much obliterated all of the robots effortlessly, some of the robots aimed their gun arms at the man and shot at him, but the man vanished in a flash of blue before those robots were reduced to scrap metal, he moved with such precision and speed it was amazing, then the only one left was Specialist Ironwood who lead the AK130's who blocked the man's sword with a gun.

"You scum, who are you working for, and why kidnap the Schnee boy?" Ironwood demanded as he held the man back, however the man in blue just kept a look of boredom on his face, as if he weren't even trying, he didn't bother to respond to Ironwood's demand, he simply kicked the man back before he rushed him and slashed at him rapidly, Ironwood could barely keep up and had gotten several cuts for the effort which were healing thanks to his Aura, he shot his pistol at the man in quick succession only for the man to spin his sword and catch all of his dust infused bullets!

"What the!?" Ironwood exclaimed in shock, the man then placed the tip of the katana on the ground and lined the bullets up, then with a quick flick of his wrist he fired the bullets back, several of the bullets struck the Specialist before the man embued his Katana with a blue energy, then he got into a crouching position and in the blink of an eye hie drew then resheathed his katana, suddenly a cloud of blue energy appeared as well as long blue lines that glowed with energy.

"Judgement Cut" the man whispered as Ironwood was hit by the attack, his Aura breaking as he fell into the snow, bleeding from several deep wounds in his body as he lay still.

"Pathetic..." the man said, standing in the snow surrounded by cut up and destroyed AK130's and the fallen Ironwood, he heard footsteps approaching and put his hand on the handle of his katana but stopped when he saw it was (Y/N), looking at him with what seemed like admiration.

"Wow sir! that was amazing! How did you do that!?" (Y/N) asked in an excited voice, the man raised a brow at the boy in confusion, this was very unexpected, normally children would be terrified of someone who not only wiped out an entire army of Robots but also cut up another man.

"Your not afraid, child?" the man asked curiously, the boy looked at him confused.

"Why would I be scared?" the boy asked, the man sighed in frustration at how clueless the boy seemed, how could he not be scared of the situation he was in!?

"Perhaps because I, a complete stranger destroyed an army of these useless machines, and cut down a man in front of you with no hesitation?" the man said as he indicated the sparking remains of the Robots, and the man laying still in the snow nearby.

"Actually, I don't mind sir, they were going to take me back to my... family, after I had run away from them, I would probably have been beaten and locked away again if I was taken back to them" (Y/N) said hesitantly, his mood turning sad and depressed as he remembered the abuse he suffered at the hands of his parents and his sisters.

"Is your family truly that bad?" the man asked in disbelief, wondering just how bad they could have been to make a child trust a complete stranger over his blood.

"Yes... they were, but that's not a problem anymore, now I'm free to do my own thing" (Y/N) said as he looked around at the destroyed Robots, a look of wonder on his face.

"Will I be able to do that too mister? I want to be as strong as you!" (Y/N) said excitedly, frustrating the man more at how excitable he seemed.

"Enough!" the man yelled angrily, making (Y/N) flinch and move back, looking scare at Vergil's intense glare.

"First, enough with the mister and sir, my name is Vergil, and secondly, you will have to become truly powerful if you wish to be like me, far beyond what you are now" Vergil said as he looked at (Y/N) with a critical eye, he could see that he was quite skinny and probably lacked any combat ability, it would be difficult and very taxing on his nerves, but it might be worth it in the end.

"Come, we're leaving" Vergil said as he picked up his cloak and walked away, throwing the cloak back around his body as he walked away from the destroyed Robots and the seemingly dead Atlas Specialist.

"So, where are we going? Vale is a good place Beacon is there, the best Huntsmen come from there, or Vacuo? I hear it get's really hot over there, since it's in the middle of a desert, or maybe Mistral? I heard that city is pretty-" (Y/N) asked as he ran after Vergil, trying his best to keep up with the older man while walking through the snow, he stopped when he felt a light tap on his head, he held his head and saw that Vergil had struck him with the sheath of his sword.

"No! Stop talking!" Vergil said, making (Y/N) shut up quickly, since he was still pretty timid from the years of abuse and neglect.

"This world is insufficient for your training, instead we're going to the Demon Realm, there we will awaken your Demonic heritage, and you will learn to use your power in my service" Vergil said in a serious voice as he stopped on top of a hill.

"Oh, o-okay, how do we get to the Demon Realm? Do we have to perform a blood sacrifice or something?!" (Y/N) asked worriedly, hoping that he didn't have to sell his soul or anything.

"Don't speak such nonsense, that method is extremely limited" Vergil said as he unsheathed his katana and slashed at the air, creating a blue portal which pulsed with power, he looked at (Y/N) who gazed at the portal in awe, although he also had some hesitation on his body language, if he stepped through this portal, he'd go somewhere very dangerous and possibly die, but he then remembered what he vowed to do.

"Well? Are you coming, or will you hesitate and allow yourself to wither?" Vergil asked as he stepped through the portal, (Y/N) then steeled his resolve and jumped in after him, vanishing from Remnant completely.
