When Nightmare got up the next day after completing all of the necessary work for the day he called his generals to the throne room. "I bet your all wondering what I've finally decided on on lover I have chosen our future queen I've called you here to make sure his stay here is comfortable." Nightmare said "Finally found someone good enough for you is he up to your standards?" Error asked "Yes he was perfect beautiful and kind. God his  golden eye light was beautiful." Nightmare said dreamily. "Error your to get him clothes only the finest I've already given you sketches of what he wars as well as pj's, Horror you prepare diner, Killer you set up his room, and Cross I would like you to fetch my future queen tell him the king wishes to see him nothing else I have to win him over after all I need to prepare here's a picture of him his name is shattered he lives in the town nearby." Nightmare said cross took the picture and took a carriage to town it took him a few hours of asking around but he found where shattered lived. Shattered was woken up by a knock on his door he tiredly got up and opened the door to see cross who opened his mouth before he could talk Shattered's morning sickness kicked in and he rushed into the grass and vomited Cross looked worried for him. "Are you alright sir?" cross asked "Yeah I'm fine what did you need?" Shattered asked "Are you shattered?" Cross asked "Yes what did you need from me?" Shattered asked again "The kind is requesting your presence at the castle would you please accompany me?" Cross asked Shattered thought for a minute."Sure" Shattered said he followed cross to the carriage Cross helped him step up into the carriage it took a few hours to get to the castle. shattered got out and he saw this worlds version of his brother he didn't know how to feel about him but shattered was willing to give him a chance this Nightmare wasn't his brother he watched as cross talked with the king Nightmare walked over. "Hello it's nice to see you again." Nightmare said "What do you mean?" Shattered asked cause as far as he knew they never met until now. "We met at the bar you were probably to drunk to remember that night I also got really drunk while we talked so I don't remember muck either." Nightmare said Shattered froze that night at the bar that can only mean that the baby he was carrying was his Shattered was worried how he would react. "I heard you got sick I'm gonna get you checked out by our medic." Nightmare said it didn't take to long for the medic to find out the problem. "My king it turns out your guest it pregnant tests show that you are the father." the medic said Nightmare couldn't keep the thrilled smile off his skull if he tried Shattered was carrying his heir. His precious child he couldn't be happier he wanted a child his own precious baby bones for so long  he was pleased it was with shattered now he just needed to convince shattered to give him a chance to love him after all he wanted to shower both of them with all of the love that he could give. Nightmare went into the infirmary and led shattered into the dinning hall they had dinner together. Shattered was honestly flattered with all the attention the king was giving him he also noticed that Nightmare was doing everything in his power to make him happy and comfortable he never had anyone fuss over him before it made him feel cared for something he hasn't felt in a long time. Nightmare led Shattered to the room that he had killer set up. "Here we are this is your room I bet your tired so I'll let you turn in for the night before you go I have something to say the medic told me about your condition."  Nightmare said Shattered tensed he was worried about his reaction but when he say the king smile he relaxed a little bit. "I couldn't be more thrilled I fell in love with you at the bar you are beautiful kind and smart you are the most perfect and enchanting person I've ever met and I would love if you would stay and let me try to win you over I want to spoil you and our child will you please stay here and let me take care of you both?" Nightmare asked Shattered blushed he felt flattered no one had said those things about him and meant it others only wanted him for his positive aura but he no longer has that due to eating a black apple so he knows Nightmare means what he's saying. He genuinely feels that way after all shattered's aura was gone. Shattered smiled. "I'll give you a chance but if I choose that I want to leave will you respect that?" Shattered asked "Of course I will not force you here but I will try my hardest to make you stay." Nightmare said. Nightmare grabbed shattered's hand and gave it a kiss and then walked away. Shattered went into his room and laid down he smiled and allowed himself to drift off into sleep.
