Camryn stalked beside me her pale golden eyes flashing the full moon as we came up on our prey, a deer. Suddenly I smelled something and heard a rustle in the bushes on the other side of the small clearing. A large grey wolf jumped out and tackled our prey. Of course I knew the scent right away. My mate, Alpha of the Shattered pack, Alpha Blackthorn. He swiftly killed the deer and looked over at us slyly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his muzzle revealing huge teeth. I shifted back into my human form. Thankfully we were able to shift with our clothes still being on.

"Hey that was ours!" I mumble angrily.

"Yeah, well to bad I felt like making you mad." He says smirking at my bright red face as he shifts into his human form.

"Hey so, um, where is my mate exactly?" Camryn ask shifting as she walks over to the corps of the deer.

"He was right behind me I swear..." Blackthorn says glancing behind himself. Then an unforgettable scent tickles my nose. Before I can react I hear someone yell,

"SURPRISE!" Aiden jumps out at us football style tackling Camryn. She shrieks and hits the ground laughing, her face turning as red as mine. I smile and let my anger drain away. I can never stay mad at him for long. Seeing a chance to get a good laugh in, I dog pile Aiden and Camryn. I hear the air being forced from Camryn's lungs with the added weight. To make matters worse Blackthorn gets the same idea and jumps on me. We all roll away laughing. We're only 20 after all. I sit up playfully nudging Blackthorn. We all walk over to the meat and start to eat. I did not realize how hungry I was until the whole thing is gone. All of us chewing on bones.

"Well I need to get back to the pack; who knows what kind of a panic they are in." Says Blackthorn. He helps me up and we say our good-byes to Camryn and Aiden as we walk to the edge of the clearing.

"Race ya? Last one back has to sleep on the couch." I challenge glancing over at Blackthorn.

"Sure but instead of just tonight they have to sleep on the couch for a week." He smirks. But that just makes me want to beat him even more.

"Challenge accepted." I smile as he takes off into the woods. Shaking my head I shift into my black wolf. The one with the silver and gold eyes.
