Seamons knocks softly on the door. He doesn't want to wake Miss Savana up if she is sleeping.  Yet, he also thinks that she would prefer being downstairs with the Boss. Everyone could tell that she was uncomfortable at breakfast. After hearing her story, he understands why she was uncomfortable and she had every right to be. To go from having her parents and boyfriend killed in front of her to being sold. She doesn't deserve to be tossed to the mafia. But she lucked out, the Boss will make sure that she is protected and given her life back. As much as possible any way.

When he doesn't hear any movement he tries the door, when it opens he sticks his head in. Seeing Savana awake he tells her, "The boss said that you can come into the office now, if you would like. He says that he knows the call he'll be taking will be difficult so he thinks it would be better for you if you don't come, but it's up to you on what you want to do."

As soon as Seamons told her that she could go downstairs Savana had started getting up. She nods to Seamons to show that she heard him. She picks up her paper and writes a thank you.

Seamons smiles a bit goofily, "No problem Miss Savana. If you are ready to go?"

Savana writes out, "You don't have to call me Miss. You can just call me by name."

Seamons shakes his head, "No, Miss, the Boss was very clear, you are to be respected at all times. If I should just call you by your name he would get upset that I wasn't showing you full respect. I have no desire to go against the boss's direct orders."

Seamons tells her as he escorts her down to the office where Brice is waiting to take the irritating call from the sheriff.

"Agent Anderson up to date on what has happened?" Brice is demanding of KK when Savana comes in. Brice notices that she seems to relax as soon as she enters the room.

"Yes, I've given him all the information that we've managed to dig up so far. It's definitely enough for them to start an investigation into the sheriff. We've managed to clear Anderson and his boss completely. The other three including his partner we've not been able to clear. He is aware of that as well.

"Seems that his boss's granddaughter was actually taken from the sheriff's town. I'm sure that his boss would like that information and so he was told to go ahead and let his boss know that. I have no doubt that his boss will push an investigation into the sheriff's life very quick."

"Good, make sure that he stays on top of any information that we are able to give him." Brice says but knows that KK will do so without being told.

"Savana," Brice says turning his attention onto her and giving her a smile. "You are welcome to stay, but you will need to remain absolutely quiet. The call will be on speaker phone and it picks up just about everything in the room. I'll let him know that there are others present, but I can't let him know that you are one of them.

"I'll be telling him all kinds of bullshit, things that are absolutely not true. You are in no danger here, at least not by me or my men, but that won't be the idea I'll be giving him. I disdain the flesh trade, but he'll be thinking that I enjoy it.

"If at any time I think that you need to leave I'll be having KK escort you out. You will be allowed back in only after the call is finished. I'll find you since my day has cleared out after that. If you are hungry then we can eat lunch together.

"I just want you to remember, you are not and never have been in any danger from me or my men.

"Do you trust me?" Brice asks her after making himself clear about the upcoming call.

Savana nods. "Good, do you trust KK?"

Once more Savana nods. Brice relaxes with her assurance. He's not sure why she trusts him and KK, especially after he told her that he's a killer and a mafia boss, but he's not going to try to talk her out of it. He needs her to trust him in order to protect  and help her.

"Very good. The housekeeper should be back with your things about the time the call finishes. Once she gets here I'll need you to try on the clothes and make sure that they fit. Any that don't will be returned and exchanged for clothes that do fit.

"Once the sheriff has been dealt with permanently, we'll see about getting some of your things from you old home. That is if you wish." Brice tells her. He just wishes that there was some way to help her even more.

"This afternoon the psychiatrist will be coming to visit with you and seeing how we might help you with your trauma. You will be allowed to see him on your own, I think he'd prefer that, actually, but if you wish, I'll join you. We'll meet in here if you wish for me to join you, and if not there is a side room through that door that is off limits to all others that you and he will be allowed to use."

Savana is shaking at this point and shaking her head no. Brice frowns, "No? You don't wish to use that room?"

"I think she means no, she doesn't want to go in alone with a strange man she doesn't know or trust. I think she wants you in there with her Brice." KK tells Brice as he pulls Savana next to him and puts his arm around her.

"It's all right, you won't have to be alone with the stranger. Brice said that he'll be with you if that's what you want." KK whispers to the agitated girl. His words seem to work, which helps KK. He doesn't like seeing Savana distressed any more than he'd like seeing Ivy broken.

Savana looks at KK consideringly, "KK, did you love Ivy?" Savana writes and shows him.

KK gives Savana a pained smile. "Everyone except her asshole father loved Ivy. She was happiness personified. You couldn't help but be happy when she was in the room. When she was sad it was like a rain cloud passing over the sun. When she was sold it was never the same here. Mr. Jensen, Brice's father, lost all respect from his people after that. It wasn't very strong after he killed his wife, Brice's mother, but selling your child for money? There was no loyalty and when the men couldn't trust him things went to hell. When Ivy came back broken, every one was devastated. When she killed herself, Mr. Jensen's days were numbered. If Brice hadn't killed him, then any number of others would have and the men were basically drawing numbers to see who would get to do the job.

"Brice taking him out settled things with the men. We have given our loyalty to Brice, because we know that Brice will remain loyal to us as long as we don't betray him. Not all mafia's have this trust, but he does. It allows him to have a larger group because he won't have to worry about traitors. We police ourselves and bring to him any worries about others."

Savana smiles and pats his leg. Then she writes, "Thank you for telling me all that, but that wasn't what I meant and you know it."

"What did she write?"

"She wants to know if I loved Ivy." KK tells Brice.

Brice has rather suspected KK of having been in love with his little sister for some time. If she hadn't been sold and killed herself he wouldn't have minded having KK date her. If that was what she would have wanted.

With Ivy it was hard to tell.

"Well? Give her an honest answer, KK." Brice tells him smirking at the discomfort the question caused.

The phone rings at this time. KK had the call routed through his phone and nods to Brice. "It's the sheriff."

Savana's patiently waiting face gets him to answer her. "Yes, I was in love with Ivy. If Brice hadn't killed his father I was going to do it later that day." Brice nods and answers the phone.

"Brice Jensen speaking."
