Brice waits for the auction to begin. There are rumors that an incredibly beautiful virgin will be the first one up for auction. He's been to these auctions for years and the girls are rarely as good as the rumors suggest.

He can't wait for this to be over. Once the auction starts he'll be able to call in for the FBI to shut it down and help those girls go home.

He does a lot of things in his life that aren't the best, but selling and buying humans turns his stomach. He's more than happy to shut down the flesh trade. Especially since the flesh traders have started culling girls from his territory.

Just the memory makes him angry.

"Hey, Brice, the auctioneer just stepped out. You think the girl is as beautiful as they claim?" KK asks him more than a little anxious for what's about to go down.

"They almost never are, KK. Now hush."

A female is brought out, she is looking down and her long golden hair falls forward obscuring her. Only the skin showing through is seen.

A handler roughly pulls her head back by the hair so people can have a good look at the girls body.

Brice inhales sharply. He's never seen such a beautiful female. But there is no life in her. She looks out, but doesn't see. He wonders just what happened to make her like that? He should call in the FBI now, but something keeps him from doing so.

Brice finds himself bidding on the broken female before him.

He wins the bid and goes up to pay the auctioneer. That's when the FBI break in and take down the men.

Brice grabs the female and sets her protectively behind him.

He sets his gun down when the FBI orders them to lay arms down. Many don't and they are summarily shot.

Those that do are told to lay down and are arrested. Brice no different than the others. He has to maintain the façade. If it were known that he is the reason for the raid than he would be hunted and killed. Since he bought one of the girls and is being arrested no one would think that he was part of the raid.

His friend makes sure that he is the last one taken in. "That girl, she needs special care. I'll take care of it. Don't put her with the other girls."

"Just how do you intend to take care of her?" His friend, contact rather than friend, demands.

"I have the money to get her the care she needs. Once she's better I'll make sure that she gets home or where ever she wants to go. I'm not going to keep her. She reminds me of my sister."

The FBI man relaxes. Brice's sister had been taken and sold. By the time she had been tracked down she had been broken. Too broken to be fixed in this case. She killed herself six months after they found her.

Brice never forgave himself. When he found out it was his father that had her sold in the first place, he was furious.

The FBI contact rather suspects that Brice had his father killed for selling his sister.

"She's not Ivy, Brice."

"I know, I'm hoping that she'll be able to be saved. Allow KK to take her to my home. He'll know what to do. I swear that she will be healed as much as I can get her before she leaves my care. Once she gets to the point where she can give me a location I'll take her there personally." Brice does his best to convince the agent of his sincerity.

He can't have this girl become like his sister, he won't allow it.

Slowly the agent nods. "We don't have the financial resources to give this girl the best chance of recovery. I'll allow it and somehow get my bosses to sign off on it. They may require visits to check on her, occasionally."

"Acceptable." The agent allows Brice to take his jacket and wrap the silent girl in it. She's shaking, from cold or fear neither of them are sure. The agent motions to another of the agents and KK is released and makes his way over to the small group.

"KK, take her back to the estate. Have our doctor look her over. You and a female are to be with her. I don't want her left alone with a male, period. Until we find out just how bad things are with her. Try to get her name. If she can't or won't talk to you and answer questions get her fingerprints. We'll run them, maybe we'll get lucky and she'll have them on file."

KK nods and gently leads the female out the back, they have an agent with them to allow them to pass without any problems. KK makes sure that none of the other mafias or those that are there to buy the girls see him escorting the girl out of the auction. Once they are out of sight he's given an FBI jacket and one is set over the girl to help with her shaking.

"She isn't looking to good." The agent says in concern. None of the other females were reacting as badly as this one.

"She'll be seeing a doctor just as fast as I can get home."

"Good, I hope he can help her. I've seen people look like this before. They are sometimes so bad that they are permanently lost. She's too young and beautiful to have her life basically ended so young."

"Yes, Brice will make sure that she gets all the help that money can possibly get her."

All those on the raid are aware of just how much Brice Jensen despises the flesh trade. They may not like what else he does, but he is helping them take down that. For that they can respect him.

"Tell your boss that we'll be watching him with her." The agent warns him as they get into the vehicle.

"I'm sure that he is more than a little aware of that fact." KK looks at the female and steels his heart against how lost she looks. "He won't hurt her. He won't allow her to be harmed by anyone. You can assure your bosses of that."

The agent nods once sharply before shutting the door and stepping away.

He goes in and goes to the contact Brice was talking to, the one that made the decision to allow the girl to go to Brice's estate rather than the hospital with the other females.

"I hope you know what you are doing Agent Anderson. This could blow up in your face and have you sent to prison along with all these others."

"Don't worry Lawson, if it does you won't be going down with me." Anderson tells the man absently. He's lost in his own worries about his decision. He's sure that he made the right one, but will he be able to convince his bosses of that?

"I'm not worried about me, I'm worried about that girl." Lawson growls out.

"So am I. We don't have the resources to get her better. Let Jensen's ill gotten money do good for a change. Let it help that innocent female get her life back. As much as it can be gotten back. With as much trauma as she's showing I'm not sure that she will ever be able to be normal. I just wish I knew who she is and where she came from." None of the girls are from here. From what some of the other females have said, they are from all over the States and even some from Canada, Mexico and even further south.

Those that are here from south of the border will be given a chance to start a new life here. Many of them were sold by family members and have no where to go.
