as the story goes, ( according to dumbledore ) in tom marvolo riddle's sixth year at hogwarts...he fell in love. in love with a young pure-blooded woman named emilia davenport, although....love wasn't the correct term. the right word would be obsession. two teenagers utterly mad for each other, willing to do anything for the other— was the final push riddle needed to create his 'perfect' world. a perfect world as a king filled with pure-blooded slytherin's towering above all others, with his queen by his side. but life wasn't in anyone's favor once emilia had gotten wind of riddle's plans and tried cutting off all connections with him and what he stood for.

in a final attempt to save the young witches life, headmaster armando dippet had sent the young woman into a death-like sleep, pumping her heart but keep her mind and body in a deep sleep—and delaying her pregnancy as much as possible and entrusting her body with his most trustworthy person he could think of; albus dumbledore. but thus came the christmas day of 1960 when emilia davenport awoke from her slumber and in the middle of labor.

amidst the chaos, minerva mcgonagall — a trusted member of the ministry of magic had taken in the two women into her home, promising to protect the two with her life. as far the rest of wizarding world knew...emilia davenport was dead. and under the fidelius charm and watchful eye of the dumbledore, estella riddle had grown up in a warm and loving environment; away from the horrors of the wizarding world that her father had caused.

it took about year to convince mcgonagall that stella should be allowed into hogwarts and only two seconds to convince stella herself. and once her eleventh birthday came along, the young girl was off to hogwarts under the new name 'estella mcgonagall'.

never did minerva ever think she'd have to deal a group of four trouble making boys attempting to corrupt the girl she'd seen as a baby since she was first brought this life. but then again...nobody expected what was to come during their sixth year.
