Kagome looked at the ground thinking about what her mother said to her before she left to come back to the feudal era Japan.

Flashback

Kagome put on her shoes just after she put on her yellow back pack "Kagome sweetie don't forget in a month or so your cousin and her family are visiting please be back before then" Kagome's mother said smiling like always "oh Akane is visiting again... It's been so long... I wonder how she is now" Kagome smiled back at her mother after talking to herself out loud "sure thing mom I'll be back before she arrives" Kagome said waving to her mother as she walked out the door to go to the well.

Kagome signed and looked at everyone who was now looking at her "what's wrong Kagome?" Sango asked looking concerned "it's been a month since I came back here I got to go again because my cousin and her family is coming back and if I'm not there they'll start to wonder and if I just randomly pop up one day Akane will get suspicious plus mom wants me to be there when they arrive so I just can't let her down" Kagome explained to everyone "why don't you go back then... It never stopped you before" inuyasha said, "really" Kagome said, everyone nodded "ok thanks I'll be back as soon as they go... And Inuyasha please DO NOT pop up in my world and stay here until I come back ok" Kagome said, "fine I won't pop up in your world" inuyasha sighed looking away as Kagome ran to the well.

Akane was in school, only for half of a day then her parents are coming to get her to go to Japan. Akane sat by the window like always as her best friend Lisa walked up to her "hey Akane your still going to Japan right?" Lisa asked, Akane nodded "good bring me back a little something ok" Lisa laughed as she sat in front of Akane in her usual seat "ok what do you want brought back?" Akane asked smiling "if possible maybe a cute guy" Lisa giggled as Akane rolled her eyes "ah yes because I'm so going to go up to a cute guy and be like "hey wanna come to North America with me my friend would love to meet you" Lisa" Akane laughed "well when you put it that way... Just bring me back some food or maybe... just... something" Lisa trailed off her sentence as Akane looked up to see the teacher walk in just as the bell rang "hold moly he's in here earlier then normal" Lisa sighed as she sat normally in her desk as Akane giggled.

Akane was half asleep as the science teacher talked about the heart "AKANE" Akane jumped 5 inches from her seat as the teacher called her name "yeah?" Akane asked with foggy eyes "pay attention" he said Akane nodded and payed extra attention to him speak.
The bell rang indicating that class was over and it was recess, Akane sat in her desk like always when it was recess as a group of people walked up to her "hey red head?" One of the boys in the group called out "yeah?" Akane asked as she smiled up at them. They looked at her in shock like always when she smiles at them "what's with the eyes and hair it's so unusual... Are you an alien?" One of the girls said "yup and I'm here to take over your world so bye bye~" Akane smiled got up and walked past the 'now shocked and don't know what to say now' group of people. Lisa walked in after hearing everything Akane said Lisa laughed at the group of people faces as she high fived Akane "haha you should see your faces" Lisa laughed at them while pointing out their faces, Akane giggled at her friends attitude. After the kids left Akane went back to her seat and sighed "this happens all the time... Do I really look like an alien?" Akane asked as she looked at Lisa who was distracted by a pencil on the desk rolling "Lisa?" Akane titled her head "oh huh?" Lisa said "do I look like an alien?" Akane sighed, Lisa laughed "yup and I'm the tooth fairy" Lisa died of laughter as Akane banged her head in the desk "hahahaha I kid I kid your not an alien and you do not look like one either your... Unique just like me~" Lisa giggled as Akane moved her head to the side as it was lied on the desk "really?" Akane asked "of course everyone is different... I mean if we were all the same how boring would that be... EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS" Lisa done a dramatic pose as she said this. Akane sighed and hit her head in the desk again "where did I find you to Lisa?" Akane asked "in Walmart when I was trying to find the milk man" Lisa laughed at her own joke "haha did you ever find him?" Akane played along "no he keeps running away from me... Do I look scary to you?" Lisa asked posing again "yup just like Freddy" Akane laughed as Lisa went all gloomy "great now I'm not gonna sleep for a month" Lisa said sitting in her desk "haha sorry" Akane laughed just as the bell rang for recess to end "great we have MATH NOW" Lisa fell on the floor "are you dead?" Akane giggled poking Lisa with her pencil "maybe... I swear if mrs yells at me today I'm gonna start crying" Lisa said sitting up in front, because they all sit in the back and mrs doesn't like it. "Isn't we getting our test back today?" Akane wondered "great I'm gonna fail and cry today" Lisa said as gloom filled the air around her "on the bright side we have a month of vacation" Akane laughed "YES" Lisa cheered as everyone looked at her "what's y'all looking at me? Oh why loves I knows I'm fabulous" Lisa said striking a pose just as the teacher walked in "Lisa sit down" Lisa gulped and sat in her seat. The teacher looked at everyone "I'm disappointed in the marks I know you can do better" she said, Lisa sighed 'is she gonna cry' Akane thought looking over at Lisa who was shaking a bit 'if she cries I'm gonna cry' Akane looked at the teacher as she handed the others their test "Lisa" the teacher said "oh god mrs can you keep it I don't want to know" Lisa started crying "why are you crying Lisa?" Mrs asked "I failed I know I did" Lisa wiped her tears, the teacher smiled and handed her the test "you past Lisa" she said, Lisa looked at the test "I GOT A 68 YES" she screamed hugging the test as she smiled "and Akane" the teacher said in a disappointed tone of voice "you can keep mine" Akane sighed but the teacher still have her back her test "psst what you get" Lisa asked leaning over "look at it for me" Akane said as Lisa looked at the test "Akane I'm afraid to tell you this but..." Akane's heart dropped at Lisa's sad tone "YOU GOT A 89 WAY TO GO AKANE" Lisa yelled getting a be quiet from the teacher. Akane smiled with happiness and her and Lisa high fived each other.

The bell rang noting that class was over and it was dinner "don't forget to bring me back something or someone ok" Lisa winked as she said that "yeah yeah yeah I got it" Akane smiled as she packed her books away on her desk and got her book bag "I'm gonna miss you" Lisa hugged Akane as she was putting on her coat "Lisa let me get dressed" Akane sighed, Lisa giggled "okie dokie" Lisa smiled and let go of Akane "Akane you ready" Akane's dad said as he walked down the hall "yup" Akane smiled and hugged Lisa one more time before grabbing her book bag and heading out of the school "BYE DON'T DO SOMETHING I WOULD DO" Lisa yelled as she watched Akane walk to the truck "YOU MEAN LOOK FOR THE MILK MAN IN WALMART" Akane laughed as she opened the door to the truck and threw her book bag in "YEAH THAT DON'T DO THAT" Lisa laughed "OK" Akane said waving to her and getting in the truck, Lisa waved to her friend and walked back in the school.

Akane was feeling a little awkward "mom dad what's Kagome and her family like now?" Akane asked hoping they knew "well I heard Kagome is having a hard time in school lately... Maybe you can help her Akane" her mother said, Akane laughed "yeah and I know a lot about Japan too... We never visit that much so I never really picked up on the language there" Akane said "maybe this time is different" her father said still keeping his eyes on the road "what do you mean?" Akane asked, her mother and father looked at each other for a brief moment before "if you like it there and your father gets the job he wants there then-" "WE COULD BE MOVING THERE" Akane cut her mother off by screaming that "we can't what about Lisa she's my best friend" Akane said "honey calm down that's only if YOU like it there if you don't then we'll stay here" her mother said "what about dad job if he gets it does that mean we still move there" Akane asked "if he did get the job and you don't like it there then it will be only me and you coming back at the end of next month as your father works there" her mother explained "oh" Akane sighed. The rest of the car ride was mostly of her mom and dad talking about her schooling now and how's she doing good in it but it lead to her bully's to which Akane laughed at she told them it was nothing she keeps her head held high.

Kagome hopped out of the well and raced to her house "I'm home" Kagome said as she walked in and took her shoes off "your here could you help me with something Kagome" her mother asked "yeah" Kagome said walking in the kitchen "could you please clean up this place with me" she asked, Kagome nodded and they started cleaning the place up.
They got done cleaning after 3 hours "that was a lot of work" Kagome sighed as she and her mom say on the chairs at the table "yes it was thank you for your help Kagome it would have been longer if I had to do it on my own" Kagome's mother said smiling "you're welcome... When's they arriving?" Kagome asked getting excited like a little kid in a candy store "tomorrow morning" she said, Kagome smiled "I can't wait" Kagome started smiling even more "how about Inuyasha will he be visiting" her mom asked "I hope not then Akane will be asking questions and such" Kagome sighed "ok" her mom said smiling. They went back to cleaning a few more things.

Akane grabbed her mother's hand like a five year old afraid of the dark as she was about to go through the security "Akane calm down your not smuggling anything are you?" Her dad jokes at her walked through "ha ha funny dad and no I'm not but even a little stupid button can sit these stupid things off" Akane grumbled as the security people laughed at her "don't laugh I'm only stating the truth" Akane said as she walked through the thing (sorry I don't know what it is called) when she did it beeped "if it is because of my buttons on my blouse I proved my point" Akane sighed as they took the other thing and started at her head and went down, when they got to her blouse sure enough it was the buttons "told ya so" Akane crossed her arms and tapped her foot proving her point back then, everyone laughed at her. Akane got her stuff and waited to be boarded on the plane "mom I'm gonna die I hate planes" Akane sighed as lied her head on her moms shoulder "I know sweetie" she said patting her daughters head.

Akane was sitting on the plane in the middle of her mom and dad as a little kid made faces at her as he sat in front of her calming her down a bit "I'm Akane what's your name little fella" Akane smiled "Miki" the boy said with a smile "aww that's a nice name are you from Japan?" Akane asked, Miki nodded "oh cool" Akane smiled "where are you from?" Miki asked "hmm? Oh I'm from Vancouver Canada" Akane smiled wide "why are you visiting Japan" Miki asked curious "I have family there my mother's sisters family is there I'm going to visit them along with their daughter and son and of course I can't forget their grandpa" Akane laughed as she remembers them all "your nice" Miki smiled "oh thank you so are you Miki" Akane smiled patting the boy on the head while he giggled "do your parents normally let you talk to strangers Miki?" Akane laughed as the boys face fell "no but they said you looked nice" Miki smiled again "oh did they?" The boy's parents then turned around and smiled at her "so you don't find my bright red hair and purple eyes weird?" Akane asked "nope I think you look beautiful" Miki smiled "aww thank you Miki" Akane smiled a big closed eye smile.

The plane was taking off Akane and the boy Miki hugged into their mothers almost crying "I hate plane" Akane said as she swallowed and her ears popped again, both the boys and her mother laughed at their child "don't laugh mommy~" Akane whined "don't worry we will soon be up in the air and they'll stop popping" Akane's mother smiled down at her "ok" Akane said swallowing again as she chew some gum.

The plane finally was up far enough that it made her ears stop popping "thank the lords" Akane praised as everyone laughed at her "why does everyone laugh at me" Akane pouted "because your funny" the boy Miki smiled back at her "oh well then thank you" Akane smiled as her and the boy started talking again.

The rest of the plane ride consist of her talking to the boy, watching a movie as the boy slept, the talking to the boy once he got up again, and her having a nap that lasted the rest of the way.

Akane and her family got off the plane once they were allowed to get off that is. As they walked to get their luggage Akane was hugged from behind, she turned around to she the boy there "oh hello again" Akane laughed "I hope I'll see you again sometime goodbye" Miki said as he waved goodbye to her "bye~" Akane smiled waving to the boy "I think that boy likes you" her mother teased her "mom please I know I'm cute but he does not like me maybe as a friend but he's only what 5" Akane laughed as her dad handed both her mother's and hers luggage "if that boy hurts you he'll have to deal with me" her dad joked "oh come on not you too dad" Akane pouted "ahaha we love you Akane" they said laughing "love you guys too" Akane said as they walked out the airport to get a taxi. Her dad whistled and put out his had at the taxi stopped, after putting their luggage in the trunk they got in the taxi "where to" the taxi driver asked "the Higurashi shrine please" her dad said, the driver nodded and they left the airport. Akane was getting excited yet nervous at the same time "Akane relax" her mother smiled at her "ok" Akane said as she chewed on her lip "Akane stop chewing on your lip" her dad scold "yes daddy" Akane said as she stopped chewing on her lip.

Akane practically jumped out of the car as it stopped in front of Lang stairs leading to the shire "YES WE ARE HERE FINALLY" Akane screamed taking her luggage out of the car trunk and started walking the stairs "WAIT FOR US AKANE" her mother yelled at her as she dad payed the driver "OK" Akane stopped and waited for her parents.

Once they got to her Akane ran up the steps again leaving them behind again "we should have just let her go in the first place" her dad sighed as her mom laughed. Akane got to the top and waiting there was Sōta, Kagome, her mother and grandpa "KAGOME" Akane yelled as she dropped her luggage and ran to hug her "AKANE" Kagome laughed as she ran to hug Akane too "ITS BEEN FOREVER" they said laughing "what are we chop liver" Sōta sighed, Akane laughed and hugged him tight "can't... Breathe... Akane" Sōta struggled to say "haha that's what you get for thinking that you are chopped liver" Akane laughed as she put Sōta down and hugged Kagome's mother and grandpa "so you made it up here before us" Akane's father sighed and her mother smiled and hugged her sister "uncle it's been so long" Kagome and Sōta smiled hugging him and then hugged their aunt "LETS GO GET YOU UNPACKED" Kagome yelled dragging Akane with her "Ok" Akane smiled as she grabbed her bags just before Kagome dragged her away.

Kagome dragged Akane to her room "this is where will be sleeping" Kagome smiled "Yes like old times" Akane smiled "haha yeah remember that time we stayed up all night and slept for the whole day" Kagome laughed "yeah your grandpa was so mad that I thought I could see smoke come from his head" Akane laughed as they fell on the bed laughing "it's been 2 years since I last saw you I missed you so much" Akane hugged Kagome "me too" Kagome hugged back. Kagome helped Akane pack some of her things in the extra dresser that Kagome brought out in her room "so Akane how's life in Vancouver?" Kagome asked as she pack the neatly packed clothes that Akane hands her in the dresser "honestly I like it there I have a weird friendship with this one girl" Akane lugged as she remembers Lisa "oh what's her name?" Kagome asked smiling "Lisa she has brown hair with a blue streak in her bangs with blue eyes... She's really pretty but her brains aren't as pretty" Akane laughed, Kagome giggled "my grades are going down now" Kagome sighed as they got done packing away the clothes "maybe I can sorta help you?" Akane looked confused as she slowed down her sentence a bit "haha do you know anything about Japan history" Kagome laughed as they sat on the floor "no but I'm good with math... Wait 2+2 is 6 right?" Akane and Kagome laughed at the joke Akane made "man Akane you are a genius" Kagome joked "oh why thank your too kind ma'am" Akane giggled "but seriously though I am good at math" Akane said "but I ain't no genius... I might be able to get you a 90 odd... MIGHT" Akane stuck her finger out at Kagome "haha ok you can help me" Kagome laughed.

The girls talked about everything they did in the past 2 years "so Kagome got any boy in mind" Akane asked wiggling her eyebrows making Kagome almost choke on air and widen her eyes "what? No not really" Kagome sighed, Akane looked like she was thinking then a light bulb popped at the top of her head "yes you do what's he like" Akane asked smiling, "there's no guy Akane what about you" Kagome said/asked "there's this one guy but he doesn't know I exist" Akane looked sad "oh I'm sorry I didn't-" "Because he doesn't exist either" Akane giggle as Kagome fell on the floor "hahaha Kagome I'm kidding there's no guy... Ain't nobody got time for them" Akane said as she stood up doing a pose. Kagome smiled at her crazy cousin as she had her hand to her face and her head lied on her hand.

After dinner Kagome and Akane went to their room they shared "so Akane would you mind moving here if your dad gets his job he wants" Kagome asked as she and Akane walking in her room "honestly probably not I mean I love it here but I'll miss Lisa to much" Akane said "AHHH I GOTTA PEE" Akane yelled as she ran out the bedroom door and to the bathroom "to much information" Kagome sweat dropped "so that's your cousin?" A males voice said from the window, Kagome jumped and turned around "INUYASHA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" Kagome yelled/whispered as she gave him a scary look "you didn't tell me when you'll be back so I came here to find out" inuyasha got annoyed "in a month and a half that's when they'll be gone" Kagome dead panned "WHAT?!" Inuyasha yelled, Kagome covered his mouth "shhh they'll hear you" Kagome shushed him. Inuyasha nodded as Kagome removed her hand "GOD DAMNIT" they turned their heads to hear a girl swear "AKANE DID YOU JUST SWEAR" Kagome sweat dropped as her grandfather scolded Akane for swearing "quick go she can't see you" Kagome said pushing Inuyasha out the window "ok ok I'm going" inuyasha said jumping out the window just as a gloomy Akane walked in the room "what happened to you" Kagome asked smiling a bit "your grandpa is really scary when he's mad" Akane crawled in her blow up bed and curled in a ball, Kagome laughed her butt off at how her cousin is acting "not funny" Akane said covering her head with the blankets "ok it isn't" Kagome sighed as Akane mumbled some colourful words in the pillow.

Akane was laying in the bed as Kagome was asleep in her bed "God it's hot here" Akane sighed as she threw the blankets off of her. As Akane got comfortable the door slowly opened, it wasn't fully shut, 'oh dear gods please don't be a killer' Akane thought as she closed her eyes, the bed moved as the cat jumped on it "GOD DAMNIT" Akane screamed but covered her mouth and looked over to Kagome to see she is still asleep. Sighing she removed her hand "God damnit Buyo you trying to give me a heart attack" Akane whispered to the cat as she left him up and walked to the door with him "sorry Buyo but I'm allergic to cats" Akane told the cat as she put him down and ran in the room shutting the door behind her "that was close" Akane sighed as she walked over to the window "such a lovely full moon tonight" Akane sighed as she leaned on the window sail.

Akane spend most of the night staring at the moon until sliver hair caught her attention 'hmm? Was that just my imagination or was someone actually here?' Akane sighed as she looked down again only to see the sliver haired person run in the well house 'IT WAS A PERSON OR MAYBE A DOG?' Akane yelled 'yeah I'm sleep deprived now' Akane said as she walked away from the window and o her bed 'time to sleep' Akane said lying in the bed and drifting off to sleep.
