Swim Or Sink!
[Name] was shaking as if an earthquake was born in her. 'What am I going to do? I can't swim! I'll have to swim shirtless!' [Name] panicked at the very thought. She was in the unisex restroom. But, she had to toughen up and come clean.
She'd been playing this game too long anyways.
"Hey guys. I'm ready to swim. I just need a change of jammers." She walked up to Rin who had gladly thrown her a pair. She turned around to change when she had slipped and hit her head on the concrete.
"Holy-! Sousuke! Someone! Get him up!" Rin was shouting orders to his swim members while he tended to [Name]. "God, you're a mess." He chuckled to himself.
[Name] had woken up on a bench in the shade. An ice pack was on her head, and she woke up with a start. Gou was sitting next to her. She smiled when she saw that [Name] was awake.
"You took quite a spill. Rin didn't want you to go swimming after what happened, so he sent the rest of his team in the pool." Gou leaned closer to [Name].
"Oh... That's okay, I guess..." Inside [Name] was almost crying with relief. She thought that God was watching her from above and keeping her identity a secret from the Samezuka sharks.
Rin pulled himself up from the pool and walked over to wear Gou and [Name] were. He grabbed a towel and began to dry his hair. "You okay now, [Name]?" [Name] nodded. "That's good. Hey, I can take you back to the dorms if you want me to."
"No, I'm good. It's a long train ride back, and your team needs their captain. I'll just hang out here." [Name] said. Rin looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, but practice might take a while. You can go shopping with Gou, though, for drinks and stuff later." Rin departed and went back to the pool.
[Name] watched as the Iwatobi swim team got out of the pool. "Oh, good job guys! But, Rei, you need to stop focusing on your form and more on technique." Gou got up and handed the boys bottles of energy drinks.
The boys sat around [Name] and Gou. "You must be the new swimmer for Samezuka." Makoto Tachibana smiled at [Name].
"Actually, I don't swim at all... I'm in the art club at Samezuka." she said.
"Oh, I'm sorry. It's just that Rin doesn't usually bring a non-swimmer to practices unless you're the coach or manager."
The small blond boy jumped up. "Does that mean you're a better than Haru-chan at art? Haru-chan's amazing when it comes to watercolor! Right, Rei-chan?"
The blue-eyed swimmer looked away. "Art doesn't appeal to me as much as swimming. Freestyle in swimming is better than freestyle in art," he muttered quietly.
"Ah... There goes the philosophical Haruka Nanase." Makoto laughed. "Anyways, how do you know Rin, [Name]? Rin's a little picky on who he's friends with."
[Name] blushed. "Oh god, no... Rin's so weird... And Sousuke, too. They're both weird..." She covered her face in embarrassment. "But, Rin just came up to me and decided that we were friends. I don't mind, but you know, they're both a little intimidating..."
Nagisa chuckled. "Samezuka is a scary school. I mean, Haru and Rin weren't even friends for some time."
Haru gave a small glare at Nagisa. "But, they're friends now!" he quickly added at the end.
Gou shook her head. "Stop freaking [Name] out! He's going to be scared of the Iwatobi crew now."
After nearly four hours of training, the Samezuka swim team and [Name] had decided to head back to the dorms. "God, I'm so tired." Rin yawned.
"I didn't even get to say hi to Gou-san..." Momotarou groaned.
"It's okay. There's always a next time, Momo-chan." Nitori reassured.
[Name] lazily looked around the train. "Why'd we stay so long?"
Rin plopped next to her on the seat. "Because we need the training." He yawned once more. "Ne, Sousuke, aren't you gonna sit?"
Sousuke popped his back. "Yeah, I guess." He sat on the other side of [Name], who instantly shriveled up.
Compared to the two muscular men besides her, she looked like a stick that could easily break in half. She tried to make at least three inches space between each boy and her.
'What am I going to do? An hour on the train with THESE guys! Help me, please.... I can't even last five minutes with them. And, this crowded space! Let me faint again or something...' [Name] panicked internally for quite some time before Sousuke noticed her shaking.
"Are you having an earthquake inside of you or what? You're shaking like mad." His arms grabbed her shoulders to stop her from shaking, but it only made things worse.
[Name]'s face exploded into a red bomb, and the shaking only increased. "What's the matter? You look like you're about to die!" Rin turned to look at [Name].
"Holy-! [Name], calm down! ... Oh my god, dude! Sousuke, I think he's dead."
[Name] had fainted from her minor anxiety-heart attack. She was so nervous that everything around her spiraled downwards.
'God, if I'm dead, don't let me sink in the afterlife. I, at least, want to swim to heaven,' she prayed.
