Amanda's pov
It took me a few days but I finally got to the forest. "I am Soo glad I watched all those survival shows at home." I spotted some stickers and got to work on a shelter. I decided to follow my instinct and made a little roofed hut in a tall tree. Near water but also near a fruit tree and some wild berries. After making my hut I decided to figure out how to work my powers. They're somewhat controlled by my emotions but there has to be a way I can use them to my own will. Well, time to test some ideas. I hopped out of the tree and tried to just change. I thought of an animal and just, you know, tried to transform. That didn't work. Then I tried myself scared, I started changing but when I got happy, it stopped. Darn. One last idea, I pictured the animal I wanted to become in my head, a squirrel to help me get back to my tree house, and thought I want to be a squirrel I want to be a squirrel. Suddenly the ground was coming closer and I could feel fur growing. Yes, I'm a squirrel. I started scrambling up the tree but started think about everything at once. next thing I knew, I was falling down. Oh shit! I pictured at the first bird I thought of, a chickadee, and thought come on bird come on bird. I spread my arms and to my surprise I went gliding forward. How do you fly this thing! I was just gliding straight forward. Ahhhh tree turn! Too late, I went back first into the tree and fell to the ground. Oww! Ok I have to stay concentrated. I turned back human then back into the squirrel. I quickly scurried up the tree and went to my shack. Yes! I figured out how my powers work. Now all I have to do is practice and no one will ever catch me!

I was doing backflips all around and barrel rolls having the time of my life! "Eagles are awesome," for the last week I've been practicing with every animal I can think of. Learning to fly, swim, run, track, and hunt. Speaking of hunting, I'm starving. In mid air I turned into a cat and fell to the ground. Landed on my feet again, I thought to myself, I turned wolf. Now let's get some food. I sniffed the air. A mouth watering aroma hit my nose, hamburgers. What are they doing I'm the forest! Must be a campground. But those burgers smelled good. I argued with myself a while then I decided to go get the burgers. I turned human and walked towards the smell. I found it, a guy and his buddies were cooking some burgers over their fire. Not a campground, just an opening I had made a few day ago for training uses.
"Yo, those burgers almost done!" One called.
"yea, five more minutes Tom!," another yelled back.
What animal would they give some food too, or should I just go in human. I decided to walk in human. "Hello?" I called to them from the shelter of the trees. I tried to act afraid and lost.
"Who's there!"
I step out, "me" I say shy. This better work. I'm running out of food.
"Are you lost?"
"I guess"
"Do you want food? You look starved!"
"Sure!" Ha the plan worked. I joined them at their circle of chairs around the fire and they handed me a burger. We all started digging in. I was halfway through the burger when I heard the boys whispering to each other.
"Mike, I feel like I recognize her," tom said.
"Yea, me too. But where from?"
"OMG!" Tom practically screamed, "she's the one that everyone's hunting. She's a danger! SHES GONNA KILL US!!!!!!!"
I'm so dead! "What?! You think I'm the one Everyones hunting," I act serious then burst out laughing, "good joke, I haven't laughed since I got lost!"
"Don't try fooling us, we know it's you!"
"Grab her, there's a reward if we bring her in alive."
I took off sprinting and they started chasing me. I was too afraid to concentrate on an animal but I knew I would change. I always do when I'm afraid, but it's not always good. Oh please not a mouse again. I was changing and when I stopped I realized what I was. YES, a deer! I ran until I was out of the guys view. I can't let them tell anyone where I live! I decide to go back and get more, how shall I state it, food. Hey, it's not cannidbolism if I'm an animal when I eat them.....right? Either way they can't leave this forest. I turn wolf and start sniffing them out. Once I get close to camp I make a plan. Lure one out then kill him, then go for the other. How to lure him out though.
"Hey, tom. We need more fire wood!" Said Mike. Perfect.
"I'm on it." He replied and walked off. I followed him for a while, watching him get farther and farther away from the camp. Finally I made a move, I got close as I could then pounced. As I tackled him down, the look of pure fear in his eyes made me feel powerful seven invincible. I knew exactly where to bite him to sever the life giving vein. After he died I pulled him back near my tree house and ate my fill, then hid him in the bushes. Time for the second kill!
