We keep flying, my flaps growing weaker with every wave of cold that passes through the Zone and my daughter and i are forced to land.
" mom, are we ever going to get outta here?"
"We will little Star. Mommy just needs to rest from the cold for a minute. We're almost to the portal Midnight." She smiles, landing and closing her dark grey fading to cyan feathered wings.
" ok momma. But the sooner we leave, the sooner you'll get warm again." She grabs me under the arms and i smile weakly.
"Ok kiddo, i'll try, for you." She smiles and spreads her wings as i spread my own white and gold dragon wings. I manage to flap them hard enough to take off, and Midnight carries me the last of the way.
As we come through the portal we both collapse.
Warmth washes through my system as i force myself to get up and i walk over to Midnight.
"How're you feeling kiddo?"
"Like we're finally out of that horrible place?"
I laugh as she stands and i shift into my human form, with light brown hair fading to pearl white hair. My skin tone being a pale tan color, while wearing a yellow longsleeve and guaze made gloves and wrist binding, with black leggings and guaze knee and ankle binding, with simple sneakers to cover up the guaze. As we start heading for the stairs in this strange lab a boy comes down with jet black hair and ice blue eyes. He sees us and instantly tenses, white rings traveling up and down his whole body. I summon a throwing knife and i pull Midnight behind me.
His hair was now white, his eyes a raw toxic green. He now wore a jumpsuit with the symbol of DP on it. The ghost boy everyone was talking about.
"Look, we mean no harm, we've been struggling to get out of the Zone for awhile."
"Uh huh, like i believe that."
Neon green energy charges around his fist and he fires at me. I quickly slice the beam in two with the throwing knives i summoned, sending the superheated energy over my hands. I shift to a snow white mobian Chamelon as my energy recovers.
"Kid please stop, i don't mean you any harm, but if you keep pushing. You won't like the beatdown Midnight and i put out."
He growls, ignoring my statement and i sigh, as he fires another beam which i dodge.
Magic swirls in my golden eyes and i say.
"I warned you pal."
Before i throw perfectly and he phases through it as it slams into the wall.
Right, he's a freaking ghost.
I change the weapon i'm holding to a bow, and i look to Midnight and nod, she smirks and spreads her wings, taking off beside me as she summons a cyan broadsword. She lunges out with a cry and Phantom gasps in suprise, covering his arms over his face, and she swings, stopping her swing right before she hits. He looks up, and sees her stopping the blade.
"See? Momma told you the truth, we don't wanna hurt'cha! I'm Midnight, and this is my momma Siren."
Her skeletal hands show as she dismisses the broadsword and i dismiss the bow, landing softly.
Phantom looked at us both in disbelief.
"You two don't want me dead all the way?"
I giggle,"nope, you're alright in our book Phantom, besides, we're not ghosts."
"How? Anything in the Zone normally is one."
Midnight picks up here.
"We were dropped in a portal by a bad man, momma was struggling so badly with the cold, but we finally got out after weeks of traversing the Zone."
His eyes widen as the rings travel back over him.
"Weeks?! Just who pushed you in there?"
I groan, thinking about it.
"Someone called Plasmius i think. Either way, the Far Frozen really helped us out. They gave me something that kept me from getting covered in frost."
Danny nodded," yeah, Frostbite and his people are really nice. I'm Danny Fenton, Phantom in ghost form"
I smile and i hold out a hand to shake," i'm Siren as my daughter Midnight already said."
He chuckles,taking my hand and shakes it.
"Nice to meet you both. Come on, mom and dad are in the kitchen. You two can slip out completely unnoticed."
I smile," thank you Danny. We can never thank you enough." He smiles and nods.
We run up the stairs and Danny phases through the floor next to us and opens the door. We both smile and run out, feeling the calm air rush around us.
We laugh, feeling the energy that encompassed reality, and i spread my wings and take off.
Midnight follows, smiling." We're free mommy, we're finally free!" I smile softly and i hug midnight, both of our wings beating in sync.
"Yes, we are. Now let's go find somewhere to stay. Land and disguise just like i taught you." She nods and we both land, and i focus, my wings shifting into my back as my tail becomes a stinger, which i wrap around my waist to hide it better.
With that, we head off, to find our own home. But something told me to stay close to this sleepy little town, like something was about to go down here.
