I soon wake up from my little nap shivering in a tiny ball. I look around and notice the moon is out and it's still dark. Once again I shiver from the cold. I look around but don't see anything useful as a blanket. Oh wait, I'm dumb!

Looking up at the moon I think of a photo of a wolf I once saw howling at the moon. I stand up and place my hands over my mouth before releasing a human sounding howl. The tingles guided me and my howl soon turned animal. Well until it was cut off, because I fell.

Note to self, if I shift while standing I'll fall. Obviously wolves can't stand on their hind legs. With a grunt I lay my big grey wolf body back in the forest floor. I curl into a ball with my head in my paws and my tail over my snout before drifting back off into dreamland.

When I wake up I notice the sun is up. Standing up I stretch with a yawn and shake out my fur before trotting into the woods. About five minutes into my walk I hear footsteps. I swivel my ears and crouch low behind a bush. Soon I see some of the people who were chasing me looking around the forest.

Holding back a growl I quickly think of a mouse and let the tingles fill me. Once I'm tiny I sneak through the fallen leaves and listen in to their conversation.

"Wheres the stupid little brat." The male growling kicking a rock. It flies over my head, nearly hitting me, causing my little heart to pound even faster.

"You saw what she could do, why are we searching for a girl who could be litterally anything?" The female asks. Suddenly I feel hands around me. I try to run but freeze as I'm lifted into the air.

"I mean she could be anything from a bear to this little mouse." She says looking at me. "Wait a minute..."

My eyes widen in fear and I quickly shift into the first bird I think of, a large black raven. I spread my wings and take off with a strong flap. I launch up into the air fast before starting to fall.

"Grab her! Its the shape shifter!!" The male shouts.

Gah! How do you fly this thing! I cry out in pain when I land on my back in the dirt, though my cry is more of a bird sound.

I quickly right myself and try to run, causing myself to face plant again. 'Gosh I feel like a hippo' I think to myself. The sparks over take my body again, by the time they're gone i look down at myself to see ive become... A hippo.

I can work with this. I turn to the two chasing me and let out a low grunt sound. The male tries to approad me and I spread my jaws wide, showing off the large teeth they hold. When he still comes at me I bite down.

With an internal smirk I pick up the seemingly weightless human, screaming as my large teeth impale him. The female takes off running as I bash the human in my mouth against a tree repeatedly before spitting him out.

I look down at the mangled, one human, pile of flesh and grunt before turning back human. "Serves you right." I spit before continuing to walk into the forest, leaving the body behind me.

Don't mess with the shapeshifter.

Me: maybe I shouldn't have given you such an attitude. You sound like me.

Amanda: ...

Me:  ...

Both: *burst out laughing*
