The wind howled like a wolf in despair. Mud stuck to the young boy's legs and arms slowing down his movements. He ran for his life, hearing voices whispering to him but he didn't know where they came from. The dim light of the half moon lit up his path in the forest, zigzagging between trees and other obstacles on his way. After half an hour his stamina ran out and he finally stumbled over a branch landing face first into an ink black lake. In the dark the water looked like oil pooling around his small frame. The voices only hardened but he still couldn't process what they were actually saying. He felt them going into his head and he clawed at it trying to escape their threats. "Go away go away go away" the little boy mumbled in the dark, squeezing his eyes shut.

He suddenly arched his back as a burning pain flamed at his shoulder blades. The water around him didn't cool the burning feeling as it only made it worse. Tears started to form in the boy's eyes, dripping on the lake's surface.

A sickening crack sounded through the woods. The boy whimpered in pain. Two black wings stood proudly on his back, seemingly protecting the boy who cried like there was no tomorrow.

Taehyung jolts up from the couch where he fell asleep on. The first thing he notices is that he doesn't sense the presence of any other person in the house which enervates him a bit. Where's Jungkook? Where's Jimin?

Fragments of the dream suddenly pop back into his head and forms a headache. He drops his head into his hands.

Was it really a dream? It felt more like I was reliving a flashback...

He shakes off the weird feeling and decides to make lunch. It's already 2 in the afternoon and his stomach is dying after not having eaten anything in more than a day.

Taehyung realizes something when he's washing his plate after dinner. He's a werewolf now, an omega to be precise, and he can probably change into a real wolf. He steps outside, sticking his nose in the air to catch a possible werewolf scent. There's no one around. Perfect.

Okay... how do I do this?

He focuses on his senses. Taehyung closes his eyes and notices the wind tugging at his clothes, the strong earthy smell invading his nose and the sounds of birds entering his eardrums. He imagines breaking out of his human shell and ripping apart his skin to transform into something more beastlike.

A low growl starts to form in his throat and before he knows it his vision goes sharper. He feels flames working through his veins until it reaches his heart, making it beat at a faster pace. Before he knows it he's pressing his lips together to contain the screams making their way up his lungs and his paws hit the dirt.

I did it!

Taehyung starts to try out his new found senses. He does this by chasing down squirrels.

I'm going to get you!

He can almost catch the brown furred animal but it escapes into a tall tree standing on a small hill. Taehyung sighs and drops his now dirt covered body down onto the ground, his head pushed in between his paws, waiting for the squirrel to come back down. His ears perk up as they hear a suspicious sound coming from behind the tree. Before he can react a big wolf pounces on him and they roll off the hill, luckily landing in soft tall grass. Taehyung tries to get away but the growl of the other freezes him in place. Red eyes stare at him dangerously and he only now recognizes the ink black fur.

'What's my little omega doing outside on its own?'

Taehyung makes a short howl sound in shock. That was Jungkook's voice? But his mouth didn't move and it sounded like it came from his head? He moves his head to the side in confusion and he swears he hears Jungkook's wolf form sigh.

'It's called a wolf link. We can talk telepathically'

'Oh. That's handy. But isn't it like super uncomfortable when you're on the toilet or having sex with someone and suddenly someone's voice resonates in your head?'

Jungkook's eyes widen.

'I'm just going to ignore that question and point out the fact you answered me'

Taehyung is confused.

'Why wouldn't I answer you?'

'Because it takes a normal wolf weeks or even months to learn how to link others, but you just answered like it was nothing'

Oh. Well yeah that's a bit weird.

'I guess it came natural'

'I guess'

Jungkook sounds suspicious and a little freaked out. He had been worrying about Taehyung since he and Jimin had discussed something when Tae was still asleep. It was normal for an omega to have blue eyes but Taehyung's eyes had flashed a bright purple when he woke up, which wasn't normal. He is concerned to say the least.

Jungkook nuzzles his head into Taehyung's brown fur, feeling the heat emitting of the older.

'I don't know if I have pointed it out yet but you smell good, like really good'

Human Taehyung would have blushed but wolf Taehyung just licks the other's snout. Jungkook sneezes from the contact. He glares at the older but decides to let it slide, dropping his face back into the other's fur.

'Your scent is addicting'

'Uh thanks?'

Taehyung isn't exactly sure why Jungkook's being so weird but he likes the feeling of being cuddled so decides to say nothing.

Jungkook presses his snout into the other's neck, nuzzling further. He inhales deeply, almost intoxicated by Taehyung's scent. Why does he smell so good? The scent's like fresh rain on stone, like dawn in a pine wood, like rosin from chopped wood. It's amazing and Jungkook could just get drunk of it. He realises it's not natural to feel this since Taehyung is not his mate. But why is he having this effect on the younger one then?

Jungkook's eyes droop slowly and his muscles relax instantly. Taehyung's making him weak and he needs to stop the effects. He decides to shift back into his human form so the scent will at least be duller.

It surprises Taehyung when Jungkook suddenly shifts shape in front of him.

"You scent... it smells really good", Jungkook speaks up, eyeing the wolf in front of him suspiciously.

"That's exactly what I was going to say"

Both boys, one human and the other still wolf, snap their heads to the voice.

Jungkook's father smiles evilly, "So Jungkook...this is your mate?"

I visited two universities today and I have no idea which one I'll pick next year. English & sign language sounds cool but Japanology also sounds awesome. What do I dooooo. I wanna study it all !!!!
