I'm an elevator
I have no control
The people who come
Chose where I go
They lift me up
Or bring me down
Or they push all the buttons
And leave me alone
On a roller coaster
That doesn't seem to end
My fear is that
One day
My cable will snap
And I'll bring everyone
That I love
That brought me up
Crashing down
So to protect you
From myself
I am out of order
Untill further notice
But I hope that someday
Someone will need me
That they will pry open my doors
To find comfort
That they will trust me
And that I can trust them
But after all
I am just an elevator
