My toes touched the water but It didn't feel cold.
So I let in my feet and it started to freeze.
As my ankles slipped in my mind went to regret.
As it covered my shins I tried to undo it.
As it crept to my knees I knew that I couldn't.
But as it covered my thighs the water turned red.
As the water splashed at my hips I started to shiver.
Then it rose up to my stomach and it got hard to breathe.
As it reached my chest my blame turned to you.
As it teased at my neck my thoughts got hazy and my vision blurry.
As it covered my mouth I tried to say sorry.

And as it engulfed my body I knew that i was the only reason I was drowning.
