"Dinner with you, Kawaii Chan, and Katelyn?" Zane asks, extremely confused.

"Um, yes? What's wrong with that?" Garroth replies, shoving his hands into his pockets.

"I don't know. It's just weird. Will Aphmau and Aaron be there?"

"Erm... Yes!" Garroth lies.

"Is this like a dance break dinner? When is this happening?"

"Tonight?"

"Tonight?!"

      "Yep!"

     Garroth quickly grabs his phone and messages Katelyn about adding Aphmau and Aaron. He sends a smile to his brother that is definitely the least suspicious smile ever. Zane furrows his eyebrows, but decides not to question his brother's stupid choices.

     "What do I need to wear?"

     "Something nice!"

     "Something nice.. Alright."

     "Okay, so, you ready for the dance competition?"

      Katelyn drops her phone and dishes after reading Garroth's message. She suddenly feels a comforting arm around her shoulders and sighs before looking over to see who's arm it was.

     "Oh, hey Travis."

     "Hey Katelyn! You feelin' alright?"

     Katelyn nods and pulls two strands of hair behind her ears,

     "Yeah, why?"

     "You just seem stressed. I wanted to check on you!"

     "Oh.. thanks Travis."

     "Don't mention it. Um, you have plans tonight? There's this nice place that opened and well.."

      "Travis.. that sounds so nice. I can't though, I'm busy tonight."

     "Alright! Maybe another night, babe," Travis winks and moves his arm away from her shoulder.

     Katelyn laughs a little and rolls her eyes. Her and Travis are soon interrupted by Dante who finished starting his car.

"We're having dinner with you, Garroth, Zane, and Kawaii Chan?" Aphmau questions.

"Yeah.. its a weird situation," Katelyn responds, sighing and laughing to herself a bit.

"Sounds weird. We don't all get along too well," Aaron adds, giving Aphmau a knowing a look.

"So.. Laurance thinks Garroth likes me, but Garroth doesn't like me. Kawaii Chan thinks Zane likes her, but that's also a lie. We're trying to prove that none of us work out that way, but it's just weird."

Aphmau and Aaron's eyes widen and Aphmau laughs in disbelief.

"Woah woah woah... So this is like a fake triple date?"

Katelyn nods and Aphmau blushes, looking over at Aaron.

"Well.. I guess it's sounds pretty interesting!"

"It's tonight, so dress nice, and just act normal. I'll text the other details to you. I haven't told Kawaii Chan yet, so.. keep it on the down low right now."

"Okay.." Aphmau says.

"A triple date with you and Garroth, me and Zane, -"

"Aphmau and Aaron! Yes! That's what it is! Weird, right?" Katelyn interrupts, slightly annoyed with everyone questioning the date.

Kawaii Chan's face grows red and a smile appears.

"Okay! When is it? What do I need to wear?"

"It's tonight! Dress nice!"

"Oooh! Okay! Kawaii Chan is so excited!"

"Great!"

Kawaii Chan is already running off to go home and get ready. Katelyn notices Garroth walk by her and glares at him.

"Garroth, your plan better work."

"Oh! I'm sure it will!"

"Well let's see.."

Aphmau and Aaron are the first to arrive to the restaurant. It's not really fancy or anything, but it's also not casual. It's Mexican food, so nothing could go wrong with the restaurant. The waiter leads the two to a table that has enough seats for everyone. The two take their seats and are soon met by Garroth and Zane.

"Oh uh hey guys," Zane says, awkwardly waving to Aphmau and Aaron.

"Hey Zane! Hey Garroth!" Aphmau greets, smiling to the two.

Katelyn and Kawaii Chan arrive and they are all seated together. They make sure to sit in a way where the "dates" sit across from each other. Conversation is short until food arrives to the table later on.

"You look nice Zane Kun!" Kawaii Chan comments, looking up from her food to make contact with Zane.

Zane's eyebrows lower slightly, but he clears his throat and speaks up,

"Thanks, you look nice too..."

"Oh.. well thanks Zane Kun! Hehe.." Kawaii Chan blushes nervously and Katelyn watches, her stomach hurting in second-hand embarrassment for her friend.

"So, when did Katelyn Sama and Garroth Kun start talking?" Kawaii Chan asks, slightly confused at that situation.

Zane confusedly looks over at the two and Katelyn awkwardly clears her throat.

"We have for a bit.. it's just been a little more private," Katelyn responds, hesitantly placing her hand on Garroth's shoulder.

"Oh.. well that sure is interesting," Kawaii Chan replies, smiling and taking a bite of her food.

"Yeah.. I never thought you and Garroth would be even close to ever try to date," Zane comments.

"Love can be very unexpected sometimes!" Aphmau spits out, giggling afterwards.

"Kawaii Chan doesn't know whether to ship this or not, it's definitely not a concept she saw coming," Kawaii Chan decides.

"Yep, well, we love each other," Garroth adds, leaning and placing a kiss on Katelyn's cheek. He shivers after earning a dirty glare from Katelyn.

"Oh yes, we love each other so much.." Katelyn says, more like a growl. She elbows Garroth's side from under the table.

"Ow!"

"Whoops."

"Well this isn't weird at all.." Zane mumbles, picking up his drink.

Kawaii Chan feels like something just isn't right about this date. She's noticed Zane hasn't been speaking with her a lot or flirting even during the triple date. Maybe he just feels uncomfortable, she decides. She thinks through what she can try to get him to feel more comfortable and she nods when she comes with a plan.

"Zane Kun seems uncomfortable! Kawaii Chan wants him to know he has nothing to be nervous about! Kawaii Chan likes Zane and wants this date to work out-"

     "Wait- What?" Zane cuts in, choking slightly on his drink.

     "Kawaii Chan didn't mean to make Zane Kun uncomfortable by pointing out his discomfort. She just wants Zane Kun to know that Kawaii Chan is nervous too!"

"Nervous, I'm not nervous! What-"

"Oh! Zane Kun isn't nervous? Then.. Kawaii Chan guesses she's just being a little paranoid! Hehe!" Kawaii Chan giggles and takes a sip of her drink.

"Wait, what's going on?"

"Your date with Kawaii Chan of course! Now eat, you are so thin, baby brother!" Garroth takes Zane's fork and shoves food in Zane's mouth. Zane's eyes widen and a blush appears behind his mask. Katelyn and Aphmau stare at Garroth in panic.

"Is.. Zane Kun confused?" Kawaii Chan asks, noticing everyone's weird behavior.

"Oh yes, he's fine! He just doesn't know how to act around cute girls!" Garroth intervenes once again.

Zane quickly shoots a glare at Garroth. Katelyn face palms and Aphmau hides her face. Aaron has already gotten up from the table to go to the bathroom. Not that he has to go, he just can't handle the awkwardness.

"Wait! I'm confused!"

Kawaii Chan lowers her eyebrows and her shoulders tense slightly, "Kawaii Chan is confused too!"

"You two probably want to be alone don't you!?" Garroth suggests, panicked.

Katelyn slams her fists on the table as she stares down Garroth, her angry look burning through his soul. Aphmau is leaning back in her chair, sliding further and further down until she's completely hidden under the table.

"Oh um.. okay," Kawaii Chan stutters, standing up.

The two stand up and walk out of the restaurant until they're alone. Zane immediately crosses his arms and Kawaii Chan nervously picks at her nails, her tail sways quickly as well.

"Nervous? Date? I'm confused!" Zane shouts, frustrated and confused.

"Well.. this is a triple date Zane Kun," Kawaii Chan responds, her voice expressing puzzlement.

"Triple- What?! I thought this was just a normal dinner!"

"What?!" Kawaii Chan squeals, "Katelyn said this was a date!"

"Um, Garroth told me this was dinner!"

"Okay, date or not, I was told you liked me! If you like me, it shouldn't really matter if it's a date or not, right?"

" Who said I liked you?"

"Umm Katelyn and Aphmau! It's okay because-"

Zane throws his hands up in defense and his mask falls slightly.

"Woah! I don't have feelings for you!"

"What?!"

"Um no! Why would they say that?"

Kawaii Chan feels her face burn in embarrassment and her tail slows down its swaying.

"B..b.. but they said so!"

".. Seems like they've been telling you a lot that's not true."

Kawaii Chan runs her fingers through her hair and sighs. She feels like a piece of her heart was just ripped off. She feels shaky and it's like the air suddenly warmed up.

"Oh! Kawaii Chan! There you are!" Aphmau says, walking towards them, the others following behind her.

"Z..Zane doesn't like me..."

"Shiiiit..." Katelyn mumbles, letting her arms drop to her sides.

"So.. it's true.."

"Kawaii Chan, we can explain!" Aphmau panics, going to her friend's side.

"No!" Kawaii Chan moves back.

"Please!"

"H..How could you?!" Kawaii Chan asks, tears threatening to leave her eyes.

"Kawaii Chan.. we are so sorry.."

"You tricked both of us. You should be apologizing to both of us," Zane comments.

The group goes silent and Kawaii Chan quickly wipes away a tear from her eye. She doesn't say anything else, she just turns around and walks to her car. Her friends stand there feeling like idiots.

"Zane.. I'm sorry."

"Let's just go home," Zane grumbles, walking over and getting in Garroth's car.

Kawaii Chan drives home, her real home. She wants to be with family, the people she can really trust.

Okay! So I said I would make like two chapters at a time, but I REALLY wanted to put this chapter out there! I didn't end up putting it out when I said I would and I'm sorry for that! I will try to put out 2 chapters whenever I update again!
