"What took you guys so long?" Yuzuki asked as the three stood there looking at the huge machine. "You guys have a make out break on the way?"

Mamoru and I blushed which made me punch in the shoulder... because she wasn't wrong.

"What is this suppose to do anyway?" Takeshi asked

"I am just guessing by the pods in front," Mamoru explained, "That its suppose to use the hearts of the 7 Princesses..." Mamoru stopped to look back and count.

"There is one missing..." Yukio said as he pointed at the pod on top of the staircase to the side.

"Well, What now?" I asked

"We can either wait for Riku to come with the Princess or just leave." Takeshi added

Out of nowhere, we heard the entrance door slam.

"Someone is here." Yukio alerted

"Ill go check it out. Mitsuko, watch my back" Yuzuki commanded as we sneaked towards the entrance

As we crawled to the entrance, no one was there.

We started searching each corner, making sure no one was really there until suddenly we heard Yukio yell, "Let him go!"

We hurried back and we saw Riku holding his blade against Mamoru's neck. "You honestly think you guys were gonna go to Kingdom Hearts to get your hearts back."

"Let him go" I yelled at him, "...or you're gonna regret joining the darkness."

"Join the Darkness?" Riku laughed "2B17, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be in the darkness."

"Now you are just speaking nonsense," Yukio said, "We saw you on the island joining us."

"Oh yes, I remember Operation Destiny Downfall," Riku said with a familiar tone, "We had a nice talk remember, 2B17?"

"Ansem?" I asked

"I've taken this boy's body as a host and now this boy is trapped in darkness, such as you and your friends will be." He responded

"We aren't going back." I said firmly

"Very well" Ansem said and suddenly Takeshi pushed me to the side. 

As I turned up to look, all I saw was Takeshi locked in the air, 1P13 behind him, and the trident through Takeshi's now dark grayish body. The dark mist started coming out from his body and we all were grounded in shock.

1P13 launched the body to the side and started walking towards me, " I told you to stay there but you didnt listen, now you are going to meet the same fate as your friend over there." I started crawling away until she struck my foot with her trident. "You aren't going anywhere this time."

"Neither are you." Mamoru pushed her to the side. "Mitsuko, go check on Takeshi. Ill handle her."

"Where did you..." I was still in shock

"GO!" He commanded as I crawled past Yukio and Yuzuki holding off Ansem, towards Takeshi's body.

He started coughing which in this case was a miracle. "Takeshi, you're alive"

"Never..." He coughed again, "... better"

"Imma.... imma fix you up, OK? It's gonna be all better"

"You know what..... Its fine." Takeshi struggled to speak, "I... know it isn't gonna end well... for me."

"You are gonna be okay, you understand?" I told him as tears were coming down my cheeks and I held his hands tightly

"Its okay... This... this is your story. Y-you...were the main character... from the beginning." He gave me a bag with his name on it. "Just... do me two more favors."

"Anything, Takeshi." I told him as I started balling

"First, take me... to where that chest is" He pointed up to the chest right in front of where the last pod was.

"Alright, Hold tight" I picked him up with everything I had, as if the wound on my foot healed for just that moment

I layed him down in front of the chest.

"I always knew... I was gonna die... in the battlefield with... my best friends." He said as he saw Yukio, Yuzuki, and Mamoru exchanging hits on the battle ground. "And... when I met you, Mitsuko... You showed me a new... meaning to life." He said as he opened the chest and let the puppies from the inside free and stayed silent for a while. "What was I saying...?"

I chuckled, "Classic Takeshi... You were saying about how I should you a new meaning of life."

"Oh ya, well... Here" He gave me a bag with his name on it, "Now help me into this chest."

"But... Why?" I asked him

"Just do it... please. You will find out sooner or later." He said as he gave me a smile as I helped him inside

"Wait Takeshi, you want to die in a chest?"

"Hahaha.... You could... say that." Takeshi whispered as we both knew he was at his last couple of breaths

As I was about to close the chest, He whispered his last words, "Finish it... for me."

I closed the chest and nothing but a faint glow came out from the chest's keyhole.

All I wanted to do was sit down and cry forever but I knew Takeshi wouldn't have wanted that. I knew he wanted me to get up and jump on to the where the fight was and continue fighting, which was exactly the action I took... for him.

The entrance doors opened again and we all stopped what we were doing and froze facing towards the doors.

"Sora" Ansem said "1P13, protect the keyhole and you 4, begone..." He raised his arm and a gust of wind blew us out of the room and down the lift stop.

Mamoru turned into a Wyvern and picked us all up and took us outside back to the Rising Falls back to where our ship crashed. As he landed, we are were dead silent and stood there without a sound.

Yuzuki asked the last question we wanted to hear, "So where do we go now?"

We all sighed and wondered the same question. Where would we go next? Hallow Bastion was suppose to lead us to the truth about our lives and find a way to get our hearts back but unfortunately we are still here with questions.

"Wait," Mamoru abruptly cried out, "There is one place we can go that might lead us to Kingdom Hearts... but it might be risky."

"Where?" I asked

"I don't exactly know what or where it is but it is supposedly a deserted world that Ansem is using to connect to Kingdom Hearts."

"So how do we get there, genius?" Yuzuki asked angrily

"We just ask" Mamoru responded

"Ask?," Yuzuki said as she now started yelling "ASK?" She was really mad at this point, "YOU THINK THEY ARE GONNA TELL US, SOME REBELS OF RoD WHERE THEY PLAN ON COMPLETING THE MAIN GOAL OF ALL HEARTLESS-KIND?"

"Yuzuki," Yukio disrupted "He meant like 'ask' as in make some one spill the beans."

"Ohhhhhh" Yuzuki realized. "So where do you plan on going?"

"Agrabah" I said as I stood up

"Why there?" Yuzuki asked as everyone looked at me with confusion

I went into Takeshi's bag and took out what looked like dog tags from his squadron.

"Takeshi deserves a proper burial and its the one place he loved the most." I said as I looked back at the dog tags. "Lets get going."

We all got up and started fixing the crashed gummi ship. Its funny really, even though this plan was a do or die, we didn't care. All of us knew this would be our last mission as heartless whether we became normal again or perish. On top getting our hearts back, the mission was so Takeshi's death wasn't for nothing. Wherever you are, Takeshi, you will always be with us.

I think that was the fastest chapter of Shady Times I have ever written but thats because I went HAM on this and also it wasn't too long of a chapter. Another thing, this chapter was pretty intense for we witnessed one of the deaths of a beloved character. Speaking of which that reminds me of something that happened after the team leaves Hallow Bastion to Agrabah...

But before I get to that, I want to thank my readers for reading this far and I'm sorry to say that the ending is coming really fast. Probably 2 more chapters until the Finale so get hyped.

"Hey, where am I?"

"Hello... HELLO... ANYONE THERE?"

A voice called from the distance, "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Where am I? I need to get back to my friends."

"Friends.... Friends...?"

"Ya, my friends... they are waiting for me."

"What's your name?"

"Sora..."

"Oh wow, you are really special, Sora... More than you know." The voice said "I've never met a rank 3."

"Whats a rank 3?"

"Oh never mind me, I can tell you aren't gonna be here long enough for the info to be useful." the voice explained, "Well you aren't gonna get to your friends talking to me, just go straight I'll guide you."

We started walking in the darkness. "So how did you find me?" I asked

"Well, we were both in the same room when you woke up."

"Do you know where Kairi is?"

"Hmmmm... I've never heard of that name. I'm sorry"

"Oh it's OK, you've helped me this far, friend."

"Friend?"

"Ya I mean you did just help me so we are friends now."

"Wow, you aren't like most people... No wonder you are different than the rest."

"Yeah, I get that a lot, so whats your name?"

"I... don't... remember"

"You don't remember your name?"

"No, how strange."

As we walked, A door appeared in front of us.

"Well I guess this is my stop. Thanks for everything by the way."

"Oh, no problem its what friends do right?"

"Right" I said as I grabbed the handle.

"Wait"

I turned back, "What's wrong?"

"Do friends do favors for each other?"

"Of course"

"Well, I have a feeling in me that says I have friends missing me outside and I wanted to ask if you can take me with you to find them."

"I know how that feels... Alright, Ill help you but where will I find you?"

"Remember the room we met?"

"A little"

"You will know when you get there."

"What if I forget about you when I leave here?"

"Memories are never forgotten permanently, they are just stored in our hearts so when we come across something that links it, we feel it."

"Well I must go"

"Alright, Ill see you around and remember, the room where we met. Ill be the one inside the chest."
