Robbin' Like A Champ
As I walked out, I heard my awesome phone ring. But unlike, you know, any other boring person, I threw it across the room.
Whoever was calling me was going to have to accept I don't talk on phone. My voice sounds terrible on the other side when I do! It's like all phones want to ruin my beautiful gift God or whoever's up there gave me.
Either way, my phone didn't break. It's too good for that. Plus, I've thrown it across the room many times before out of frustration. I'd get calls frequently, probably from my mom or dad or my stupid brother.
God, I hate my family.
Once I picked up my phone, I prepared for our heist. No one was going to expect a thing! I went up to my room, put black clothing on, -even though I doubt it matters if the bankers see my great sense of fashion or not-, and grabbed my mask.
That annoying, yellow, smiling mask. I don't even know where I got it. I gave it to myself when I found all four because I thought it'd be amusing, if I'd knew I would get so annoyed by it later I would've given it to Lee.
At least it'd make it ironic.
Then again, I don't like the other masks either. Lee's fits him almost perfectly, I can't ruin that. So does Nick's. Plus, what kinda leader wears a scaredy cat-looking mask like that? Or one that looks like a pink fucking furry?
I pulled the mask on my face. Whatever. It's better than nothing. Too bad the bankers or police won't ever see my beautiful face. Hah! Sucks for them! I'll always get to see it, so will my partners-in-crime!
Not like I care about them, though.
I heard a knock on my door. Great. Just when I mention them-
"Ey, Prince Cocksure, are you jacking off or something? What's taking you so long?" I heard Lee-diot's voice.
Hah! The audacity to think I'd be doing that on a robbing day! Who does he think I am, a horny teenager?
What does "cocksure" even mean? Probably one of those sophisticated words only Lee knows since he's such a smartass.
I opened the door, glaring at him with a deadpan look. He doesn't even deserve my glaring, let alone my attention.
"Sorry, did you say something? I can't hear you over your constant slurring." I smirked, making him narrow his eyes and do his typical Lee-scoff.
"I think he talks perfectly fine," Christofer commented politely. Dammit, I wanted to throw him out the window so bad, just like my idiot brother.
"Whatever. I'm not here to chat with you." I flipped my hair yet again, walking past them.
"Oh thank god." Lee sighed, I knew it was on purpose.
I wasn't gonna be bothered. Their useless opinions weren't worth my time!
I walked out of the house, which was more like a base in the middle of the forest, hidden. I jumped in the van, calling shotgun, like always. Chris would always drive us there, and I wasn't going to sit in the backseat!
I waited for the others to finally catch up. Geez, it's like they had a stupid half-assed convo before they started moving their legs.
I looked in the rearview, seeing myself. At least I had some sort of mirror.
Chris opened the door and sat down next to me, starting the car, which in turn started groaning. Lee and Nick followed and got into the back. Before Lee could even close the door, I stretched my leg out to push the pedal so the car would start going, catching everyone off guard. Chris slowed the car down once I took my leg back, and Lee finally managed to close the door, glaring in the rearview.
"Asshole," he mumbled.
That I am! You kinda need to be to qualify as a bank robber. Then again, Chris and Nick already disproved that.
It was starting to get dark. Perfect.
I won't get into all the dumb details as to how we got in the bank, past the guards and everything, not only because the creator of this book doesn't know how that works, but because I don't wanna bore you with it either.
My job was to search for the safe. But this time Chris came with me. Gah! They can't even trust me with that anymore! I do know math! The square root of seven is obviously seven!
And well shit.
Lasers. Lasers everywhere. Looks like I gotta do my awesome acrobatic skills.
"I'll cut the wires to discharge the alarm and lasers," Chris spoke, already opening the box thingy on the wall.
Or not.
He did that almost perfectly. Meaning we just had to walk down the hall like two boring people.
I heard my walky-talky buzz and I took it out.
"Guys, the safe is on the other side of the building. You're heading in the right direction." I heard Lee's voice speaking, almost whispering. He and Nick stayed behind to fend off the guards.
"How'd you know that?" I questioned, slightly fastening my pace just so Chris can't catch up because I'm a jerk.
"I found the digital map of the whole bank," Lee said in a monotone voice, obviously he wore a deadpan expression.
Right. Not only was it their job to fend off the guards, but to make sure none come our way.
Soon enough, we found the safe. It wasn't even hidden!
It brought up a code.
"What's the square root of seven?"
Hah! Easy! I just said this.
Chris got ahead of me to answer the question though. Fuckin' paranoid idiots, probably Lee told him to do that.
He typed in "2.65" and it worked.
Huh. That safe was totally rigged.
We grabbed the gold bars in there and booked it. Lee was warning us that they weren't really able to stop the guards anymore, so we had to hurry.
I heard sirens. Fuck, someone called the police.
We ran out of the building where we snuck in and practically threw the stuff in the van and jumped into it. Chris started the car immediately.
I wanted to shoot at the cops but Lee had all the guns and he totally wasn't going to let me. What a party pooper!
Well, that went well.
