Ezra's P.O.V

I woke up without a single nightmare plaguing my sleeping mind. I relaxed into the warmth next to me and realized that something was on top of the side of my head. I heard soft snoring when I remembered what happened. Kanan must of fallen asleep and laid his head on mine.

I didn't want to disturb his sleep so I used the force to gently lift his head off of mine. That's when I felt a crick in my neck. I rubbed the sore part of my neck and lost my focus on Kanan. He fell and landed on me, immediately waking up. Kanan quickly sat up and I straighten myself to sit normally. "Sorry," I said and sheepishly scratched the back of my head.

"It's alright, Ezra," Kanan said rubbing his eyes. I looked around and saw that we were the only two here in the room. "Do you know what everyone is doing?" I asked trying to fill in the awkward moment. "No, after you fell asleep, I kind of drifted off to," he answered and I nodded. Me and Kanan's comm whistled to life. "Everyone in the cockpit, we've got a mission," Hera said through the comm.

I scooted out of the circular table, followed by Kanan and we both stood. We walked towards the cockpit to see everyone else there already. Dakota was standing off to the side and leaned against a wall. "Hey slowpokes, what took ya so long?" Sabine teased. Me and Kanan looked at each other then shrugged. "Nothing much," I said then smirked, "Why did you miss me?" "In your dreams, kid," Sabine said and I laughed a little.

   Then the room was filled with a blue hue. Chopper projected a hologram of an imperial base. We all went silent when Hera began to tell us the mission. "We need to sneak into this base and find some important information that could help the rebellion," Hera informed. Chopper enhanced the hologram more closer to show what room we need to sneak into.

   "Right here," Hera said pointing at a specific place. "Room U2?" I heard Kanan say, "Isn't that Agent Kallus's office?" Hera smirked, "Yes it is." "So you want us to sneak into an imperial base into one person that wants our heads on his wall?" Zeb said then smirked, "I'm in." "Here's the plan," Hera said, "Sabine and Zeb will go to the other side of the base and give the imperials a little light show." Sabine smiled and put her helmet on, "I'm already liking this plan."

   "Kanan, Ezra, and Dakota will go into this hall," Hera said pointing to the hall that was next to the room. "From there, Ezra and Dakota can go through the vents and get the info," she finished, "Any questions?" No one said anything. "Prep for the mission," Kanan said and we all walked out of the cockpit expect Hera and Chopper.

I left towards the cargo bay and slid down the ladder. I didn't know why, but I wanted to be alone right now. So I hide in the small closet and got comfy. I wanted to think of everything that happened and this was the perfect place to do it. The door suddenly opened and it made me jump. Dakota's head popped into the closet and saw me. "What are you doing in a closet?" She asked me. "None of your business," I said harshly.

   Dakota was a bit taken back but she was snooping around every inch of the Ghost. "Why are you here?" I asked in a bit more calm tone. "Instincts told me to look in here and I found you," she said and sat across from me. The door slid shut making everything so dark that I couldn't even see a single thing. "So," she said awkwardly, "What are you doing in a closet?"

   "I already told you that it wasn't any of your business," I said, "Can you please go?" "My mom says that troubled souls need to talk out their problems then keep them inside," Dakota said. "Well right now you are one of them," I said and she went silent. "Dakota?" I said but there was still no reply. "Fine," I heard her say, "If I'm just a problem then I'll leave." The door opened and Dakota left. I felt sort of bad and thought about apologizing later.

   "All Specters report to the cargo bay," I heard Hera say through the comm. I opened the door and crawled out of the closet. I sat on one of the crates to wait for the others. I saw Dakota on the other side of the room, leaning against the wall silently. I was about to say something but the others came and we all got ready to do the mission.

   The ramp opened and we went to do what we were assigned. Here we go.
