(Black's Third Person POV)
Black widened her eye. "Wh- What?!" She exclaimed. Jake rolled his eyes. "Well, Black." He growled. "Another rouge decided it would be fun to hurt you so she ripped your eye out." He snapped. Black flattened her ears. She first met Jake when Hunter took them to explore the twolegplace. He had always been annoying and grumpy. "Wh- Where's Shard?" Black asked hoarsely, eye watering. "I honestly don't know. I got there to see you on the floor with the rouge getting ready to claw you. My Twoleg scared it away after it ripped out your eye. I glimpsed Hunter and Melody, but I don't know where Shard was." He said, narrowing his green eyes. Black turned to look away from Jake and sighed. "It really hurts Jake." She whimpered. The brown tabby put his tail on her back reassuringly. "Don't worry, my Twoleg has some things to make it feel better." He meowed softly, licking her cheek and trotting away from Black. "Let's go for a little walk, and maybe we can find Shard." He suggested. Black nodded slowly and followed close behind. A yowl was heard from behind her and she whipped around to see the Twoleg rushing forward and blocking their way out. Jake growled and stepped in front of Black. "Let us go out." He snapped. The Twoleg didn't seem to understand, and closed a small exit on the 'door' of the nest. Jake sighed. "Great, we can't leave now."

(Shard's Third Person POV)
Shard wailed as Melody dragged him into their little cave, Hunter following close behind. "She's dead, Shard." Melody meowed softly. "Black's in a better place." Hunter piped up, eyes filled with sorrow. The she cat released Shard and growled, facing Hunter. "That's why we don't let them out alone!" She snarled at her mate. Hunter narrowed his eyes. "They could have easily protected themselves, they were just shocked from that rouge jumping out!" He shot back. The two cats started bickering and Shard saw the chance to slip out. He quickly scrambled towards where the attack took place. Black seemed to have disappeared from around here, so maybe she crawled away? Shard thought. He caught a whiff of her scent and pricked his ears. He carefully followed the trail to a large Twoleg nest. The overwhelming scent of Twolegs and kittypets flooded Shard's senses. The young Tom leapt up, landing on a little platform with a way to look inside the Twoleg nest. Shard walked forward and crashed into the clear stuff and he growled. He carefully sniffed around and scented Black. "Black!" He whispered urgently. "Are you trying to get in there?" A voice meowed. Shard whipped around to see a black she cat staring calmly at him. "M- Maybe. Yeah. I'm looking for my littermate, she was injured badly." He said suspiciously. The she cat snorted and leapt onto the platform, dabbing a small 'handle' on the clear stuff. The clear stuff opened slightly, allowing Shard to slip through and into the nest. The black she cat jumped down and glanced around. "By the way, my name's Shade. What's yours?" She asked, stalking around the nest quietly. "I'm Shard." He said. "Black!" He exclaimed quietly, bounding over to Jake and Black sitting on a sheep pelt. Her eye widened and she stood, nuzzling him. "Shard!" She breathed. "I thought you were dead!" She added. Shard stepped back to get a better look at her. She had a few scratches and a weird red thing covering her right eye. "What's that? Are you okay?" He asked urgently. Shade sat quietly behind them, keeping watch. Black looked down, sorrow clouding her gaze. "The rouge ripped my eye out, so the Twoleg fixed it and wrapped this around my head to make sure I don't scratch it. And I think I'm okay." She muttered. Shard licked the top of her head. "You'll be okay, I promise." He whispered. Shade cleared her throat. "Sorry to ruin the reunion, but the Twoleg is back." She said. Jake sighed and waved his tail as the three cats dashed towards the clear stuff. "Bye guys!" He yelled as they jumped up and out.
