Powers in Shadows of Stars are not limited to one specific strength or form. Some Wielders are born naturally strong, while others have to train and tire easily. Power can be amplified using the Ancient Stones or can even from a burst of emotion from the Wielder. In some cases, a Wielder is born with too strong of a power that can manifest itself without intention.

Listed below are different types of powers mentioned in the book and the different forms they can take.

WATER & ICE

-Water and ice go hand-in-hand, but Wielders of water and/or ice cannot necessarily wield both.

-Water Wielders can only manipulate and generate water in its liquid form.

-Ice Wielders can freeze water, but cannot generate water.

-If a water or ice Wielder possesses an aqualyte stone, their powers magnify and broaden. Ex: water Wielders can also wield ice, and vice versa.

FIRE

-All fire Wielders can generate a flame.

-The strongest fire Wielders have blue flames.

-A fire Wielder cannot be burned

-If a fire Wielder possesses a fyro stone, their powers magnify.

TELEKINESIS

-All telekinetics have the ability to move objects. The matter of of weight is determined by how powerful they are.

TELEPORTATION

-Teleporters have the ability to disappear and appear in a new place.

-Strong teleporters are able to think of a place or simply think of the kind of place they would like to go and they can teleport there.

-Weaker teleporters can only teleport to a place they have seen or been to before.

-This power in children is particularly dangerous because as they are exploring what they can do, they can get lost.

FOG & SHADOW

-All shadow Wielders can manipulate and generate shadow.

-All fog/mist Wielders can manipulate and generate fog/mist.

-Stronger Wielders can create objects or "beings".

SEER

-There are many levels of seer abilities.

-Most weaker seers only have an extremely keen intuition.

-Others can see visions of events, but the events are typically unimportant.

-The rarest form of seer power is known as having "the Eye".

-Seers with the Eye witness devastating and catastrophic events before they happen.

-However, this causes damage to the seer.

-Frequent visions can cause hallucinations, deterioration of the seer's body, scrambled thoughts, etc.

CHANNEL

-Channels are the most respected and feared Wielders for their ability to channel other's powers and use them for themselves.

-Channels have no power of their own unless a power is given to them, or stolen from a Wielder.

-Every power that a Channel absorbs completely makes them stronger as well as ageless, if a Channel continues to absorb multiple powers.

-A power that is freely given to a Channel will make them stronger than if they stole the power for him/herself.

-Channels also have the ability to give a power to another Wielder instead of themself
