Brit – A Sad Time

Baxter has proposed to Barbara. She accepted, and they plan to marry immediately after his graduation. I envy them, and it causes me to reflect on Shelly and me. I sink into a sad condition, and instantly attempt to block it from my mind. Not being able to sleep bars me from rest. The essence of my core has been disrupted.

Baxter and Barbara asked me to be the best man at their wedding. They are attempting to get me to go out with her cousin Deloris. She will be the maid of honor at their wedding.

I am nervous. The only person I have ever had feelings for was Shelly. I do not know what to do on a date. There was no reference in my experience about dating. What if she doesn't like me? Questions like holding hands and kissing trouble me.
