9.0 Not Everyone Is Going To Like You
Josie Saltzman walked into her math class next to Hope Mikaelson. When the two went to sit down in the same seat they had been sitting together in for two years, their teacher spoke up from the front of the room. "Girls, we're switching seats, today."
"What?" Hope furrowed her eyebrows, looking up at their teacher. "Josie and I have been sitting together for two years. You can't split us apart."
"Yes, I can. It'll be good for you two." Their teacher nodded, beginning to read off where the students would be sitting. "Josie, you'll be sitting here next to Jessica."
Josie frowned, looking back over at her best friend. Hope shook her head, telling her to let it go. The girl sat down in her chair, and another girl sat down right next to her. "You're Josie?"
"Yup. That's me." Josie sent the girl a smile. "You're Jessica?"
Jessica Davis nodded her head. "I moved here at the beginning of the year."
"Cool. Cool." Josie let out a sigh, looking over at Hope who had been sat next to Justin Foley.
Hope noticed Justin staring at Josie and punched his shoulder. "Dude, you need to back off. She has a boyfriend now. It was sort of cute funny when you would flirt with her before Zach asked her out, but now it's just obnoxious and borderline creepy."
"She doesn't actually want to be with him." Justin looked over at Hope, narrowing his eyes. "And anyways, have you ever even dated anyone?"
"There are not a lot of options when you're a lesbian in Evergreen."
"You do have a point."

Private message between Zachy💩 and Jo😽
Zachy💩
She got like so fucking mad at me
Like I was just trying to apologize for what Marcus did last night, and she just fucking flipped out
Jo😽
Calm down, Zach
Hannah's been through a lot with guys since she first got here and the Marcus thing must not have made her feel any better
Zachy💩
But I was just trying to be nice
Jo😽
It doesn't matter
She obviously took it the wrong way because she was still upset about last night
Get over it
Not everyone is going to like you
Zachy💩
Woah jo
That's a little harsh
Jo😽
I'm tired of the boys in this school trashing on Hannah
Zachy💩
I get that
Jo😽
She deserves better than all the shit you guys give her
What did she actually do to deserve any of this?
Zachy💩
You're right, jo
I'm sorry
Jo😽
It's okay, Zach

Josie sat on her bed with her laptop in front of her, playing the movie tangled. Zach smiled as he played with a strand of Josie's hair. "You're so pretty."
"Thanks, Zach." Josie sent the boy a smile, turning back to the movie. Zach slightly frowned, poking Josie's cheek? "What do you want?" She questioned the boy, turning back to him.
Zach pressed his lips against Josie's with his hands landing on her waist. Josie froze for a second before kissing him back, her arms loosely wrapping around his neck. Zach smiled into the kiss, slightly pushing Josie backwards so she was lying on the bed.
The two got interrupted when Zach's phone started to ring. He immediately jumped up and picked it up. "Hey, mom..... Yeah, sorry. I was just hanging out with Josie..... I can meet you there..... Okay. Love you. Bye."
Josie sat up, cocking her head to the side. "What's up. That seemed kind of urgent."
"Yeah." Zach sighed, looking down at Josie's bed. "My dad's been getting worse over the last week, so my mom just wants me to meet her at the hospital." Zach's father had spent the last couple of years battling a chronic illness.
The girl nodded, taking Zach's hands in her own. "I'm so sorry, Zach."
Zach shook his head, starting to stand up. "It's okay. He's going to be fine."
"Okay." Josie spoke, watching her boyfriend leave her room.
