Josie Saltzman stood in the hallway of Liberty High School at her locker as Jessica Davis approached her. "Why does your boyfriend look so sad, Jo?"

"What?" Josie questioned as Jessica pointed Justin Foley out to her. He was standing across the hallway watch the two girls and pouting. "He's not my boyfriend, Jess. You know that." Josie turned back to her locker, shoving her math book back inside of it.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she patted Josie's back. "Okay, you keep telling yourself that."

Josie shut the locker and turned to her friend. "He told me he loved me this morning."

"Yeah, well, you kinda told the entire world that you loved him last night." Jessica chuckled as the two started walking down the hallway to their first period class.

Josie shook her head. "I told I didn't love him back."

Jessica stopped walking as her eyes widened. "Wait, hold up. What?" She let out a laugh as she shook her head. "You're playing with me."

"No, that's why he looks so sad." Josie looked down at the ground as she let out a sigh. "I still feel like I can't trust him like that."

The girl nodded. "Okay, I get that, but that boy is so in love with you."

"It doesn't matter. He lost my trust."

Josie sat at lunch with Jessica, Zach Davis, and Marcus Cole as they discussed Hannah's tapes. "I don't know what Justin's going to do." Jessica frowned as she crossed her arms over her chest. "He says he wants to shut Clay down."

Marcus let out a scoff as he looked down at his phone. "We tried that."

"Clay must have listened to his tape." Zach butted in. "I told you, he listens to his tape, everything changes."

Josie shook her head as she shoved her spoon into the pile of mashed potatoes on her lunch tray. "He hasn't listened to his tape, Zach. He just heard Tyler's yesterday."

"And he hasn't said anything about Jessica's party." Marcus added on.

"But when he does, he'll probably believe Hannah." Jessica sighed, staring down at the table. "He won't know that she's lying."

The boys exchanged a look as Courtney Crimson placed her Hello Kitty lunch box on the table. "Clay's mom came to see Bolan." She told the group as she sat down next to Marcus.

"Why?" Josie looked up at her.

Courtney rolled her eyes. "What else could it be?"

"No." Jessica scoffed. "Clay wouldn't tell his mom about the tapes."

"Why not?" Marcus cocked an eyebrow. "He wasn't shy about Tyler."

Zach frowned and shook his head. "That would be so messed up if he told his mom." He glanced down at Josie. "I'm with Justin. We need to do something serious."

"Why, Zachy?" Josie furrowed her eyebrows as she looked up at the boy. "So that your mom doesn't find out?"

"Yeah, amount other people, like maybe Jessica's dad." Zach retorted.

Marcus shrugged. "What can we do if he's already ratted us out?" He let out a sigh before continuing. "Man, I' on track for Valedictorian. I do not need this shit."

Courtney crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes, Marcus, the most important thing right now is your Valedictorian speech." She pushed a piece of hair behind her ear. "Let's keep that in mind."

"You guys talking about Clay?" The five teenager's head's snapped up as they heard Tyler Down approach their table.

Zach frowned, bringing his hands to his mouth. "Keep your voice down, dude."

Tyler sat down next to Courtney. "Whatever you're doing, I want in."

Josie ran her fingers through her hair. "We're not doing anything, Tyler."

Courtney crinkled her nose at the boy. "It's not like we would trust you if we were."

Tyler let out a scoff. "This... this isn't fair."

Zach looked up at him. "Dude, get the hell out. Seriously."

"I have a right to be here, guys-"

"I will snap your arm in two." Zach continued, cutting Tyler off. Tyler's eyes widened before he quickly stood up and left their table.

Courtney let out a sigh. "Let me deal with it, okay? Quietly. No snapping of arms."
