Atem and Chris fell on to the dirt ground. They forced them selves up with a groan.

"That hurt" chris said feeling sore from hitting the ground.

"I landed on the puzzle" Atem groaned.

"Ouch" chris laughed a bit and looked around. He had at least landed on his back. 

"Where are we?" Atem questions.

"My ranch"

They turned and looked over to see a man standing there wearing all western attire with a silver star pinned to his shirt and a gun holster attached to his belt.

"The question is...who are you" the man said.

"I am...Atem and this is Christian." Atem introduced them.

"We are looking for midnight" Chris said quickly.

"What do you want with midnight" the man questioned.

"Christine sent us" Atem replied.

"And we seemed to have lost Marie' Chris said looking to Atem with wide eyes.

Atem looked at him with wide eyes. "You lost Marie?!" He exclaimed.
Hearing a squawk they looked over and saw Marie laying on the back of a black stallion.

"MARIE!!!" Atem and Chris said relieved.

Marie tilts her head looking confused as Midnight walked forward.

Midnight bowed his head. 'Pharaoh' he greeted.

"Uh...the horse just talked" Chris said hesitantly.

"Your mother is imprisoned in the necklace by a monster and your were raised by a god, yet you find talking animals shocking?" Atem questions startled as he looked at Chris with a 'are you serious?' look. 

"Bite me" Chris deadpanned.

'What has happened to my mistress!?' Midnight stomped his hoof to the ground angrily.

Atem and Chris backed away. "She said you knew something about a pup?" Chris said quickly.

"We are trying to find a way to separate her from Zorc!" Atem explains.

Midnight watched them closely. He huffed. 'The pup in question is here, Walker has him' he said looking.

Walker looked at midnight and nods. "I'll get him" he said and walked away.

"How is a pup going to help us?" Chris questioned looking between midnight and Atem.

Atem shrugged and looked over as Walker came back out with a small black pup. He handed it over to Atem.

Atem looked down at the pup confused. "This...isn't a normal pup" he commented.

"No he isn't" walker replied. "I'm not even going to ask what has happened to my daughter, I'm sure I can guess. Just get her back" Walker said looking at them with a 'if you don't, I know who to come after' look.

"We will" Atem said with a firm nod. he felt a little scared as he watched Walker hesitantly. 

The pup gave a loud bark and they were all sent back to Sirius's house.

Chris fell onto his back when they landed.

Marie was laughing at his misfortune as she went straight to Tom and laid down.

"Thank gods you are back!" Ginny said relieved.

Atem and Chris looked over to find Harry was unconscious on the couch.

"What happened?" Atem questions.

"Shadi" they all replied.

"Figures" Atem scowled.

"He is alright isn't he?" Sirius demanded.

"He is going through a test of sorts" Bakura replied.

"He will be fine" Atem nods.

"Its not like what happened with me and the scales is it?" Tom asked.

"I don't know. Each test is different" Atem replied.

"What's with the dog?" Sirius asked.

"Did you get what ever it was that you were looking for?" Melino asked. 

Atem turned his attention back to the pup and looked it over. His eyes caught sight of its collar. "Hello" he said bringing everyone's attention to the collar.

He took the collar off the pup and held it up. "This looks familiar" he said, just as Harry shot up gasping for air with the millennium key on his neck.

"Looks like you pass" Bakura said looking at harry.

"That's supposed to be comforting?" Harry gasped.

"Your soul isn't in the shadow realm" Bakura replied with a shrug.

"So what's with the key?" Remus asked looking at Atem.

Atem holds up the collar. "I remember this key. It goes to a chest. Christine kept it in the room under the bed" he explained.

"This chest...wouldn't happen to be  gold with a bug in top of it" Sirius asked.

"Yeah it was" stem replied.

Sirius stood up. "Follow me" said and lead the group up the the library.

"That's a lot of books" tom said in awe.

"All dark arts stuff" Sirius said with a scowl as he walked over to a stand where a chest was at.

Atem walked over and picked it up. "This is it" he said. he looked around and say a table. He walked over and put the chest down onto the table. 

He held up the key and opened the lid.

Dust came out of box causing them all to cough.

"Was that it?" Bakura asked with a frown.

"That was anti climatic" tom deadpanned.

Melino frowned as she looked around. She felt an old magic brewing in the air. 

"Oh shut up"

Christine's voice sounded through out the room. Everyone tensed as the dust swirled around in one spot only to come together and form a solid person.

This person was a child. 12 at most.

"Christine?" Atem said surprised.

"that's Christine?" Melino asked looking shocked. 

The child, Christine, nods and kneels to the floor. "Hello pharaoh. My visions told me this would happen" she said sadly. "When you gave me the necklace I used the powers of the millennium necklace and sealed a part of my self with in this chest" she explained. Her eyes were glued to the floor, and she refused to look up. 

Atem's eyes widened. She knew?

"I tried to defy my destiny, but it was...going to happen weather I wanted to or not" Christine sighed. "Please forgive me pharaoh" she looked up tearfully. "I tried" she bowed her head as the tears fell.

Melino felt as though someone had poured ice cold water on her as she watched them. It was a heart wrenching scene. How could the strong independent woman that she looked up to have ever been like this little broken girl in front of her? 

Atem flinched. "Zorc can be very convincing. But right now we need to focus on separating you and zorc. We can talk about all of this later" he said trying to calm her down. "Did your vision tell you anything else? Anything that can help us separate you and Zorc?"

Christine looked away. "Yeah, I just have to remove my self from the necklace" she explained.

"How would that work?" tom asked. "She...I mean, you don't have a body to go to" he added.

Melino listened to them carefully. She could not think of any way that she could possibly do this.

"That's why i sealed part of me in here. But this wont last long pharaoh. A week at most. I will have to either return to the necklace or to my body. Or I will die. For good. Anubis will take me to underworld" Christine explained as she began shaking. "I...I don't want to go" she stammered.

"Your not going any where sis" Bakura said firmly. Melino was surprised. Why was she afraid of Anubis? She had met Anubis...Sure his titles caused concern...but there was nothing to fear from him...

"What do you need to do to separate your self from her?" Tom asked trying to get her mind off of Anubis.

"I can do that from here" Christine replied. "But that doesn't mean Zorc will be gone forever" she added.

"We will deal with that one step at a time" Atem replied.

Christine nods and began chanting.

"Eripe animam, flere sanguine venire ad me, et ponam te in somnum et stabit de domino vestro, aliquis. Et stabit de domino vestro. Audite vocem meam."

A gasp ripped from her throat and she fell over onto the ground.

"Christine!!" The group exclaimed alarm.

Atem knelt down and carefully turned her onto her back. He quickly jumped back when her eyes opened. At first, they were black but they turned back to her normal green.

Melino looked taken back at the change of eye color. "that was...different" she frowned. 

"Is she alright?" Tom asked with a worried look.

"I...I don't know" Atem replied.

Christine lay there staring at him blankly.

Bakura inched closer. "Hey sis" he said looking down at her. She turned her attention to Bakura.

"Kura" she whispered.

"Yup! That's me" Bakura said grinning happily.

"I'm assuming it worked then" Remus said letting out a breath of relief.

Christine sat up as she looked around they could see the fear in her eyes.

"That's one down" Ginny said.

"Now to save Bella" harry replied with a nod.

"With Christine here, zorc doesn't stand a chance, of being able to stay in Bella for very long" Bakura said with a nod.

"But wont zorc come after Christine? It's her that zorc is tormenting" Sirius questioned.

"No"

Everyone jumped and looked around to see Selene walking up to them.

"No?" Tom questions.

Selene had a haunted look in her eyes. "We cant...we cant let zorc survive. We have to destroy her" Selene looked up at Tom. "We have to" she whispered her arms wrapped tightly around her stomach. "She wants her. Sh-she wants the baby" she said shakily.

"Why?" Bakura asked.

"She wants her...for her next vessel. After she's done with Bella." Selene explained.

"Not happening" Tom hissed angrily as he tensed up at her words.

Ginny shivered hearing the hiss. She remembered that hiss. She momentarily wrapped her arms around her self. and rubbed her arms. 

Hearing a whimper their attention was brought back to Christine who was trying to stand up.

Tom looked at her sadly. He sat Marie down on the table.

"Tom" Marie questioned gaining the group's attention.

"Someone's gotta do it" Tom whispered to him self.

"Where is Christian?" Harry asked suddenly bringing attention to himself

Tom looked up and looked around puzzled by his question.

The group looked at each other.

"He has a habit of running off" Bakura replied.

"That had better be it Bakura, Christine will kill us all" Atem said looking at him, Bakura didn't have time to explain as a loud crash gained their attention only to see Bella laying on the ground, the table was broken under her.

"Bella!"

Bella lay there gasping as though she was in pain.

"Christian"
