He sat on the chair, smiling like a goof as he watched those big crystal eyes of his first and until that moment only child.
He chuckled when the newborn began to clap with its hands, wanting attention. And so he gave it. Because there was not even a single moment, no matter how late or early or how tired he was that he wouldn't do anything to hear those chuckles.
He closes his eyes, than waited for the baby to be quiet, confused at your child was. Then suddenly, he opened them again, making the baby cry out in joy.
Alec couldn't help but laugh, while he stroke he little one's face with his thumb, earning a soft glance from his baby, while you watched from the hospital bed.
"Your eyes," you sighed.
"And your smile," he spoke, kissing you lightly on the cheek while he held your baby.
The infant smiled even more, and so did you. Alec realised how much the nursing resembled its mother, because the two shared exactly the same smile.
He held the kid up, who chuckled joyful. Than so did you. He seemed to be enchanted by the two of you chuckling, when he started to chuckle too. He knew he was in for a challenge, and he loved every single second of it.
