~*Prologue*~
A shadowy figure stalked through the grass, silhouetted by the moon. The wind tugged at her wings and she felt a small but powerful longing to take to the sky but she knew that her job was far too important. Autumn leaves floated lazily on the breeze, they, like the rest of the landscape, were painted silver, touched by the light tendrils of moonlight. All the dragon felt was tendrils of dread, though the stars twinkled in the sky, ominous dark clouds occupied the horizon, like predators, waiting to leap foward and devour their prey. As she reached the center of the clearing, she stopped and took a breath. The grass rustled as she swished her long tail over the grass in front of her, stopping and drawing it away as she felt an almost unnoticeable but unnatural bump in the dirt in that spot. She carefully grasped it in her talon, lifting open a trapdoor and spilling orange light over the grayscale scenery. She then slipped inside, closing the door behind and leaving not a trace. Once inside, she pulled off her hood and dipped her head in greeting to the dragon who had come to meet her in the passageway. "I come bearing bad news," the first dragon said, flicking her tail. Her companion's face fell, his RainWing scales rippled is disappointment. "The queen needs this done as soon as possible, we don't have the time to steal all 45 eggs," she sighed, her large, leaf-like wings twitched uncomfortably. The RainWings snount wrinkled in annoyance. "Well what does she expect us to do? Use already-hatched dragons instead?" The LeafWing donned her hood again and looked at the RainWing strait in the eye. "I think that's exactly what we're going to do."
