Shadow kept a glare at her as he held out the invitation, waiting for an explanation.

"I-I...I-it was just a prank from Zack. He always does this to me to get a good laugh."

"Nice try. Now who gave you this?"

"Uh..."

"It wasn't a boy was it?"

"And what if it was?"

"You better tell them first thing tomorrow morning that you are not going."

"But dad, this is my first time ever being invited to a party. You never let me do anything."

"It's because I care about your safety."

"Oh right like something terrible might happen."

"Eggman ruined a party Sonic threw once and trust me, it did not go well."

"Well that doesn't mean he'll attack this one. Come on dad. I really want to go."

"Not happening. No parties. Now give this back to whoever gave it to you." Shadow handed it back to her and left the room.

Luna growled in frustration and covered her face in a pillow. The next day, Luna came to school feeling upset. Jessica saw this and smirked.

"Aww what's wrong? Daddy won't let you go? Such a shame. Aww well. Better luck next year." She walked away while Luna growled at her.

"Hey Luna." Luna turned her head and saw Selena.

"Are you excited about the party!?" Luna just lowered her ears slowly.

"What happened?"

"My dad found out so I can't go."

"Oh no."

"I don't understand what his problem is. He never lets me do anything at all. I feel like I'm living in a prison home."

"Maybe you can try talking to him."

"Don't you think I already tried that?"

"Eh...good point." When Luna saw Thunder, she sighed and said,

"I'll see you in class." Luna said as she walked towards Thunder. She cleared her throat, making him look at her.

"Hey Thunder. Look, I really do want to come to your party but...it's just...I can't."

"Why?"

"My dad won't let me. Like he always does."

"Hmm...hey remember that project we're supposed to be working on? Would you like to come to my place and work on it for a bit?"

"Sure."

"Alright then. Maybe it might help you get your mind off things."

"Alright."

"See you later." Thunder walked away while Luna watched him while blushing. After school Thunder took Luna to his house. When they arrived, Luna looked around and said,

"Nice place."

"Thanks."

"Where are your parents?"

"Oh it's just me and my dad. He's out like always but I don't seem to mind."

"Oh ok. Let's get to work then." Luna and Thunder begin to work on their project while talking to each other. They told each other stories about their lives and talking about what they like to do.

Luna didn't know why but she starting to grow feelings for him. After finishing their projects, Luna packed her things.

"Well I better get home. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright. See ya."

"Bye." Luna smiled a little as she walked home. When she arrived, She saw Shadow on the couch sleeping. Luna sighed a bit as she went to bed.
