There's No Going Back

I looked at my hoof with awe. There was a big flash that blinded me for a few seconds, but then I returned my gaze in focus, and there was fabric. The moss had been shining on the moonlight this whole time, and the moon was a full moon. The fabric was blank of course, and was very soft to the touch, because it was just made.

I decided to stargaze more, because my work was finally done. Well, for now at least. I heard the cabin door crack open, and out came a Athena. She hobbled over to me and hopped onto my neck and then layed down, also stargazing with me. I nuzzled her.

The stars aligned to form various constellations. Me and Athena layed there observing the beautiful night sky. Some constellations from the sky, I knew what they were. There was the canis lupus, canis major, and minor, and the Aquarius constellation. The stars aligned perfectly to make clear constellations. Also, these constellations were not too far apart, which was good in trying to see one constellation apart from the millions of other stars in the sky.

Eventually, my eyes drooped, and I felt darkness closing in. For Athena was already asleep... Athena felt like a warm fireplace, or crackling fire you would roast marshmallows on. My eyes finally took place in their natural state, which was closed. The darkness consumed me, and I was asleep.

The next morning, I was still outside, I was now just waking up, and Athena was still asleep on my neck. My eyes fluttered open from their sleeping state. I observed my surroundings. It was now morning, I was still in the Everfree, and Athena was still on my neck. I sighed quietly, and smiled hopefully. I looked at Athena, and as soon as I did that her eyes piped open.

She tilted her head, I laughed quietly at her. She also seemed to smile. I moved to signal to her that I was getting off of the patch of grass. She immediately fluttered off of my neck, and onto the blades of grass. I got up, still clenching my fabric. I grabbed the fabric from my hoof, and into my mouth, from there I threw the fabric into the air from my mouth, and perfectly the fabric landed on my wings. "Yes! I did it!" I say happily, noting I actually pulled that off.

Carefully, I trot back into my cabin. I open the creaky door, with Athena following me, and trot inside. Once I get in, Athena attempts to headbutt the door to close it. Athena fails and gets thrown back from her brute force. "Heheh, let me get that for you, Athena." I say going over to the door and closing it.

Athena shakes it off like a dog, the mistake was nothing to her. Athena was not worried about what any other creature thought about the mistake she had made, she twas not even embarrassed.

...I wish I could think like Athena..
