"I could hear them clearly, until the story came up.. Then they only whispered, at that point I had to get closer, because I could barely hear them. And so I changed the direction and wind speed I was going, which kind of separated me from the others in the migration thingy, but that was okay, because I needed to hear this story. I got close enough to hear them, but for them not to take notice of me.. Which was good.." Winter said, in a crystal clear serious voice. I listened intently, leaning closer here and there to listen to what she was saying. This story really grasped me, and I was consumed in, just like a good book.

"The two birds were both a tawny, and barn owls. They were both females, which was typical for gossiping, but males also do it frequently. This was the only time I actually wanted to hear drama. So back to the main point, I was listening.. And the tawny owl began. She said, 'Hey do you remember when we were passing through the arctic, Less?' 'Yeah.. What a murder scene, Leo.' Less responded. Now I will tell you what Leo looked like, Leo has a main base of white, but her stomach has brown sharp designs on both the top and bottom, but not on the sides. Her claws are black, and her feet are white. Her outer wings are mainly white, but on the top and bottom of the left wing she has brown coming down, but then they stop in the middle where it is just white. Then on her right wing, both the bottom and top are white, with brown in the middle. Now let's get to her head, her head is a big circular shape, with feathers all around. There are two brown crescent moon shapes on the middle sides of each side of her face. Then those shapes curve in, and the opening to the curve is white and then you see her eyes.. She has grim mean looking eyes. The eyes are only black, and her puples are white. Her beak is yellow, and it is very short for a beak, but pointy. There are three brown circles going up from the middle area by her eyes. Then behind and upward, from the crescent moon shapes are more brown circles. So that is Leo, she is a gossiper, and mean.. She hated me when we first started to travel. Shall I move onto Less?" Winter asked, finishing.

I nodded, not listening to any other noises but Winter's story.
