By this time, Echo and Lucy were already on top of the dragon, and the dragon was just about to collapse...

I could feel the intensity of the action at my paws, and I was just there, almost paralyzed. I was frozen, I couldn't move. I could just see what was happening... Why couldn't I do something? Why were they protecting me? I was supposed to be protecting them!

I wanted to move, all my power tried, but all I could do was watch. My senses rose sharply, watching every move, sight, noise, and about everything else.

Athena crashed into the dragon, and the dragon went down with a crash.

Echo, and Lucy let down their grips, and Athena recovered from the powerful crash into the dragon.

I studied the dragon, and the dragon had no poison spilling out, or coming out... The dragon wasn't poisoned, yet he then started to disappear... I wondered where the disappeared went to? Would I ever know?

The dragon disappeared with a fit of magic, and I felt my circulation back into my paws, and the power of flight in my wings. And I felt a big wave of panic wipe over me, and a huge realization come to mind:

Some people, ponies, or creatures, never change.

I looked down at the ground, and I knew that this was a lesson that I learned, and I would have to remember it.

But, I was just glad that everyone was safe, and that, that was over. Even the sky lightened, and I realized it was night.

'Wait, night?' I questioned inside of my head, and then gasped in happiness. That whole thing, it was through the night-

We didn't abandon Luna's light! And, everyone stayed up through it! Many ponies don't get this excited over the night, but to other creatures, and me, it was a big deal.

Night was our freedom.
