Shadow heard a gunshot. 

Shadow ran down her house's creaky stairs and when she got to the main floor, she was horrified at what she saw. 

She was standing in her own parents blood. 

She walked a little further... 

Her mother and father and their beloved dog.. 

They were killed. 

She could have stopped it. 

She caught a gleam at what was running away... 

The killer, the hunter. 

"Hey! Wait... You killer!  I. Swear. I. Will. Kill. You... YOU COWARD!" 

Their family dog had his teeth bared.. He was trying to protect them. 

She wish she could at least of died with them.. They wrote a note before they died...

 The note said: "Take our daughter to Princess Luna, she will take care of Shadow.." There was a bloody hoof print after it. 

Shadow remembered... 'Where were her siblings?' She knew her favorite sister could not be captured.. 

"Sister..? Sister, where are you?" Shadow sobbed on the bloody wooden floor, her wings were covering her.. 

Then a stallion walked in...
