Back To The Start
Lucy formed another doggish grin. She had a new glint in her eye, a new hope. She pranced around in circles, filling the soil with her paws, she embraced the ground with her claws. I could tell she was ready, she was ready for this new beginning, she was ready for this new home.
Athena flew over to us, but then took off into the open skies above the trees. I let Athena take her flight because I knew that this was out of pure joy. She would always come back. She probably was excited to be back at home where the scents and sights were familiar.
And me? Oh yes. I was very glad to be home.. I couldn't wait to share the night star gazing with Lucy and Athena. Though I love adventures, I love being at home, too. There was so many things to do now that we had Lucy apart of our family. I looked up into the sky, baring the very best views of the Everfree wild. I had my freedom back, along with my home. There was nothing more I could ask for at the moment, except for those humans to be gone.
I looked back onto Lucy, and she was staring at me, her head tilted.
"What were you thinking about, just now?" She asked, obviously knowing I was thinking about something. I thought about it for a moment, trying to come up with a right response.. She waited patiently.
"It tis nothing. 'Come on, we shall go inside. We are home after all." I said, putting on a wolfish grin and leading the way into my cabin. She followed me excitedly, running this time.
I opened the door carefully, and it creaked softly. The darkness had overtaken the cabin due to Athena's illuminating light being gone. Just as the door opened though, Athena swooped inside, not letting the darkness escape the cabin. Either way, darkness or light, I could live with both. I quite liked darkness, however. Lucy took a step up into the cabin, and trotted inside. I did the same, and I shut the door quietly.
