Boy, those last few bits were really dark, weren't they? To lighten the mood, I've got some sweet extras for you!
So, if any of you have been keeping close watch on my general posts (which I usually use just for things like "I'm going on hiatus for a week or so" to "aye, I'm back!") you might've seen a post or two about getting a soundtrack for this book off the ground...

Well, it's public and ready, for anyone who might want to give it a listen! Right now, it's 50 songs, and I think it'll stay that way for quite some time, if not forever. Each song has a distinct meaning and corresponds to either a specific scene or an overall theme! I've essentially gathered a lot of the material that inspired me while I was making this book, so the playlist includes everything from character themes (mainly Shadow, Scourge and Rouge, but I think Sonic has one or two theme songs) to actual canon music about characters.

If it doesn't, fear not! My username is "chuiche24," and the playlist is simply named "Soundtrack."  ("Soundtrack 2" is the WIP for the sequel, so I mean, you can listen to it if you wish but A) it might not really fit and B) it's subject to change so there's very little point)
The Spotify app is absolutely free, and a wonderful high-quality audio streaming app. You can even use it on your computer (via their site) or tablet (via the same app) for those of you without mobile devices! As far as I know, the site is universally supported, and the apps work on Apple and Android devices; given that Android has the app when Android has virtually nothing I'm 90% sure Windows phones and the like probably have it too.
I'd lay out the list of each song and what they mean, but I think I'll save that for...a little something else I might do, in association with this fic. Because it's tedious to scroll/flip through if you don't care.

The second little gift I have for you is this, but I'll only give it to you if you all actually want it (please comment): all the paths this story could have taken, but didn't. These snippets range from little ideas I chose to leave out to entire chapter arcs I cut out for the sake of time, space and sanity. Some ideas you might hate me for cutting out, others might thank me for cutting out... Who knows?

The final gift I have to give you... Is a promise.
I'm going to animate small portions of this book, either to music or to my own audio (voice acting, oooh! But I won't be acting, I'm not at all talented in that field.) and when I do, I'll add those bits in here from my YouTube channel. Those bits will range from actual scenes to just themed pieces (probably more along the lines of themed pieces).
Additionally, don't think I'm done illustrating this yet...
