I got out of the elevator on 19th floor and walked ahead towards my apartment. It's almost 10 PM, and I felt so drained out of all the extra shifts I had done today.

It's pretty usual for Mondays though, loads of work hover onto my shoulder after the weekend and I end up staying at office till 8 PM. So, I have dinner at office cafeteria, and drive back home by 10. There is nothing left in my body after I get back, except sleep in my eyes making my head feel heavy.

I was deciding whether to take a shower as I was taking a turn around the corridor, and then, I heard sounds of moving things around. It was coming from the apartment adjacent to mine. I had to pass by it to reach my place, so I walked ahead, noticing light coming out of the slit under the main door.

"So, finally someone moved in!" - I thought to myself, I was so happy, I didn't know why. I've seen this apartment empty since I moved in.

I unlocked my door and went in, flapping my shoes away and throwing the keys in the key-bowl. I tossed my shirt and pants off and entered the bathroom, while running the train of thoughts that took me to weird places. The hot water created a warm mist around me, and I hopped into the tub. The water droplets started washing away all my exhaustion, of work, of life, of loneliness.

Vague sounds of dragging something on floor, reminded me of my new neighbor. I chuckled at myself, fantasizing it might be a handsome guy who I could run into someday, we could go on a weekend date and have a relaxing conversation over a nice dinner; it's been a long time since I haven't been on a date after all!

I smiled hugging myself and tugged my head between my knees. Oh, this warmth! I missed my family, my best friend. It's been a while I haven't talked to them. Their faces surfaced as I closed my eyes. I felt my headache going away slowly.
