Red was smudged with purple all over the sky. 

"Do you like sunset?" – Jiya asked sticking her head out of the window.

"I guess" – I honestly didn't know what to answer to that. I still had so many questions myself to ask her since noon.

The GPS beeped to take a turn to her street. "What you doing later?"- she asked suddenly, keeping her eyes closed and soaking the last rays of the day, "I don't wanna go back now".

"Nothing much, just having some friends over" – honestly, I didn't want her to come and see me all lit up.

"Like party?" – she asked turning to me.

"Nah, just chilling out".

"Can I come?"

My jaw dropped; I looked back at Jiya. She gave a tired smile, her eyes swollen. How could I say no to that smile? I just needed a chance to hide the stuff and text Ferris about Jiya joining us tonight once we'd reach.

"She's here, no talking shit about last night or you're dead" - I warned Ferris as soon as Jiya plopped on the couch in the living room.

I went to the couch. I couldn't imagine how next few hours would go by.

"Jiya, you still look pale. Are you still down with fever?"

She looked at me, her black eyes shone.

"When are your friends coming?"

"In some time. Um, Jiya, there's something I wanna tell you". She nodded.

"Um, would you mind if we got high?" – I stuttered.

"You're doing drugs?" – She whispered. I realized I'd messed up.

"Can I try?" – she asked again, her eyes bright like a child. I was stunned!

The doorbell rang. Ferris, Jordan, Kevin, Rachel gushed in with some bottles as soon as I opened the door. My stomach dropped when Kim entered winking at me. Now this, was a real mess-up!

I turned back to see Jiya and Jordan talking already. Ferris gave me the look I'd been expecting the whole time.

The night went by slowly, chilling, drinking, getting high. I didn't let Jiya have anything except a few blunts. The clock ticked slow, and so did we.

Somewhere in trance, I heard Kim whispering, "Is that her?"
