Years had passed since the events that had initially brought Y/N to the Candy Kingdom, and in that time, much had changed. The mysterious teleportation abilities that once caused alarm had been studied and understood, revealing no threat to the kingdom. Y/N had become an accepted part of the community, their silent presence a familiar sight among the colorful characters of Ooo.

On this particular day, Y/N found themselves having tea with Princess Bubblegum at her cozy cabin.

Awhile back, the Candy Kingdom had its very first election. The election was between Princess Bubblegum and the King of Ooo. PB did not campaign, as she thought the Candy People knew she loved them and that they were smart enough to understand the King was a bad person (which he is). Unfortunately, the King convinced everyone to vote for him, causing her to lose the election. PB, unable to confront the candy people after seeing their innocent faces, turned in her crown and left (along with Peppermint Butler) to an old, dirty cabin built by her Uncle Gumbald, which they and Y/N worked hard to fix and make it into a nice place to live until she got back in business as the princess of the Candy Kingdom.

As they sat across from each other, Y/N observed Princess Bubblegum with a sense of appreciation. The princess, no longer concerned with the mysterious teleportations, had grown to respect and value Y/N's presence. Their silent camaraderie had developed into a bond of trust and understanding, and these quiet tea gatherings had become a regular occurrence.

Princess Bubblegum, sipping her tea with a serene smile, looked across the table at Y/N and inquired, "Y/N, do you have any plans for this evening? Would you like to go on another date with me?"

Y/N's obsidian figure shimmered with a subtle sparkle of surprise, their violet eyes reflecting the offer. Despite their limited communication, there was a deep sense of connection and understanding that had developed between them. Y/N nodded, silently accepting Princess Bubblegum's invitation to spend more time together.

Princess Bubblegum leaned forward, her eyes filled with enthusiasm as she began brainstorming ideas for their upcoming date with Y/N. She gestured with her hands, offering suggestions through animated movements, as her words accompanied her sign language.

"How about a picnic in the gardens?" she suggested, her hands mimicking a picnic spread. "Or maybe a night of stargazing? We could even visit one of my latest science experiments."

Y/N watched and considered each idea, their silent presence reflecting an attentive and appreciative demeanor.

Princess Bubblegum's eyes continued to light up with excitement as she generated even more ideas for their upcoming date. Her hands moved gracefully, conveying each concept through sign language, while her words carried enthusiasm.

"How about an adventure through the Candy Forest with a twist of science exploration?" she suggested, her hands playfully mimicking a forest setting. "Or we could visit the Candy Mountains and see the breathtaking views from atop Sugar Rock Peak."

Y/N watched with a sense of intrigue, appreciating the effort and creativity Princess Bubblegum put into planning their time together. They nodded in agreement with her ideas, their silent communication affirming their eagerness for the upcoming date.

Princess Bubblegum leaned back, her animated sign language conveying a sense of curiosity as she asked Y/N, "What would you like to do for our date?"

Y/N, their obsidian figure holding a sense of calm and consideration, took a moment to express their thoughts through sign language. They conveyed their openness to Princess Bubblegum's ideas and willingness to go along with her suggestions.

However, they added a subtle sign to suggest a preference: a drawing of a serene and starry night. It was a symbol for stargazing, hinting at a desire to spend their date under the night sky, perhaps in the Gumbaldia Observatory or another peaceful location.

Princess Bubblegum nodded in understanding, appreciating Y/N's input and the opportunity to plan a date that would make both of them happy.

Soon, Marceline, with her characteristic nonchalant expression, stopped by Princess Bubblegum's cabin, carrying a crib with her and Y/N's infant son, Rex. The baby boy, still in his crib, was fussing and crying, clearly in need of some attention.

Princess Bubblegum and Y/N exchanged knowing glances, understanding that Marceline might need some help with her crying baby. Princess Bubblegum spoke in hushed tones, "Marceline, is everything okay with Rex?"

Marceline, with a tired smile, replied, "He's been a bit fussy today, and I could use a hand, maybe a lullaby or something."

Y/N, sensing the situation, decided to help in their own way. They moved closer to Rex's crib, their obsidian figure a soothing presence. Their violet eyes sparkled with a hint of comfort as they attempted to use their unique abilities to create a calming, starry atmosphere for the baby, hoping to ease his distress.

As Rex continued to fuss and cry in his crib, it was hard not to notice the striking mix of characteristics in his appearance. He had inherited a unique blend of traits from both Y/N and Marceline, which made him all the more remarkable.

Rex had the deep violet eyes that mirrored Y/N's obsidian form, reflecting the mysterious aura of the silent traveler. At the same time, he had the grey skin and fangs, a signature vampiric trait inherited from his mother, Marceline.

Princess Bubblegum, concerned about Rex's fussiness, asked Marceline what might be causing the baby's distress. Marceline, with a somewhat sheepish expression, admitted, "I think it might be the book I read him."

Curious, Princess Bubblegum inquired, "Which book did you read, Marceline?"

Marceline reached into her bag and pulled out "The New Mother," a short story by Lucy Clifford. She showed the book to Princess Bubblegum and explained, "I thought it was a fairy tale, but it turned out to be kind of creepy. I didn't realize it would give him nightmares."

Princess Bubblegum read over the book and shivered. "She smashed their...with sticks and stones? Used iron bars to...I can't even finish this."

Princess Bubblegum examined the book. "Let's just try to soothe him now."

Princess Bubblegum and Marceline, both known for their resourcefulness, decided to combine their efforts to soothe baby Rex. Princess Bubblegum gently rocked the crib, creating a calming motion, while Marceline softly hummed a lullaby with her melodic voice.

Y/N, with their silent presence, used their unique abilities to create a serene and starry atmosphere around the crib. Tiny, shimmering stars seemed to dance in the air, captivating Rex's attention and gradually calming his fussiness.

Together, they formed a trio of caregivers, each contributing their own special touch to ease Rex's distress. As the moments passed, Rex's cries began to subside, and the room was filled with a sense of serenity and comfort.
