I didn't waste anymore time and left the office, as it is, my shift was going to be over. I walked to my house and instantly Tashu was there on the main gate.

"You did told me that you'll come to home early...but this early??" She wiggled her eyebrows.

"Yeah, we have this meeting and it got over soon, so I left early" I said and walked towards and drank water.

"You're okay?" She asked

"Very much" I said and smiled. Then I went to my room and got freshened up and wore my pj's and a baggy top and let my hair was air dry. I didn't wanted to waste my time in thinking about today so I opened my lappy and started sending and sorting out the mails.

Soon my cell went off and when I checked it was Junaid's.

"Hello" I said.

"Hey..you okay?" He asked

"Why's everyone asking me that? I'm perfectly okay!" I replied.

"We heard what happened today in the meeting room" he said

"Forget about it. I don't give a damn to what he says! If he wants to fire me, I'll be glad about it" I said.

"And then where will you go?"

"Anywhere, I have a work experience. Any big firm can take me"

"Will you find all of us over there?"

"God...No" I sighed. He chuckled.

"I know you can never leave your friends and move on."

"Well, what to say? Sir brings out the best in me" I shrugged. He chuckled.

"And that's why he's our boss" he said. And I laughed.

"Now you don't have to think too much. We're all with you. Don't stress yourself much and sleep." He said and we hang up. After talking to him, I was feeling much better and happy.

After we finished eating dinner we all went to our rooms. I was so damn tired today, I stretched my hand a bit. I brushed my teeth, then washed my face and applied my moisturizer. I took my lip balm in my hand and was applying when I suddenly saw a shadow of someone on the opposite side of the road.

To see a better view of that shadow, I walked close to the window and removed the curtains and now my head was partially out of the window in search of that shadow. But there was no one here, it was empty. Opposite to my house is nothing but only trees and bushes. There are couple of benches where mother's sit and gossip while there children play around. It's not exactly a garden nor it's a forest.

Suddenly my cell started ringing making me jump and my head got bumped with the window. And my heart was practically jumping up and down. I quickly calm down myself and checked the caller id, it was an unknown number. I frowned but then again picked up.

"Hello"

"Hii" said a deep husky voice.

"Yes, may I know whose this?" I asked

"Yeah, Is this Mercy hospital? I wanted to book an appointment with Dr. Faraz." He said.

"Sorry, wrong number." I said

"Oh..okay. Sorry" he said and hang up.

I quickly turned around and saw it was ten past twelve. Who in this world wants to book an appointment now? Must be a psycho!! I walked towards the window and shut down. And even I closed the curtains to keep myself away from creepy thoughts.

The next day I woke up and did my daily routine. Got dressed in a black long straight cut skirt with a red blouse and black a cardigan. Pinned my hair under my black hijab with had lace in the corners. I put some kohl and my favorite peach lipgloss. Slipped on my heels, took my purse and went down.

"Assalamualaikum" I said as I reached the dining table.

"Walkeumasalam" everyone replied.

"Pancakes" I said and quickly sat down and hurriedly started eating earning chuckle from my Aunty and Uncle.

"Hoori" Tashu shouted my name.

"I'm here" I yelled and again took a spoonful of pancake.

"Hoori...oh my my!! Someone's looking just awesome" she said.

"Our Hoorain is always beautiful" Aunty said. I smiled.

"What awesome and beautiful? Last night I wasn't able to sleep properly only" I said.

"Why?" Uncle asked furrowing his eyebrows.

"No need to worry. It's just that I was a bit restless" I said. "And you all know what? There was this psycho who called me at ten past twelve thinking that it was Mercy hospital, to book an appointment." I said and laughed but everyone was looking at everyone.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, it's just that we are bit shocked. That who calls in the midnight to book an appointment" Uncle said and started laughing.

"Exactly, okay...now I'll miss the bus if I won't leave now." I said and got up.

"Jaani, why don't you take cab today?" Aunty said all of a sudden.

"No use Aunty, why to waste money?" I said while I washed my hands.

"Hoorain, take cab today, it'll be safe" Uncle said.

"Aunty, Uncle...everyday I go in a bus. Don't worry and why all of a sudden this topic?" I asked.

"Nothing as such, just like that" Uncle said.

"No need of cab, I'm here" said a familiar voice. I turned.

"Junaid" I said and smiled. He smiled and looked at my Uncle and Aunty and gave them a silent nod to which they smiled.

"Assalamualaikum, I'm Junaid, her friend and coworker." He said as he introduced himself. Well, everyone has met them but since Junaid has joined last week only so this was the first time he was meeting them.

"Walekumasalam" Uncle replied and shook hands with him.

"Shall we?" He asked. I looked at Uncle and Aunty and they nodded.

"Yeah" I said and we walked out. He opened passenger side door and I slid in buckling myself with seatbelt.

"So suddenly?" I asked

"I thought you must be missing me, that's why I came" he said and smirked.

"Very funny" I said and smiled.

"Not again" I mumbled as I reached my Cabin. It was again full of colorful files. I again started making space and quickly dig myself into files. A sudden knock interrupted my work. I looked up John was there.

"Hey John, come in. So what's the deadline for today? Half an hour??" I asked him sarcastically. He just chuckled.

"Take your time...I haven't got any deadlines for you today. I just came here to ask if you're okay? I heard about yesterday." He said.

"Thank you John for checking up on me. I'm fine." I said and he nodded. After he left I again got busy with work. I was over with the work at around two. I sighed and got up to face him!!
I walked to his office and knocked and Thank God, he didn't kept me waiting like yesterday.

"Good afternoon, Sir. Here, is the result" I said whole time looking down at the files. I can't look at him in the eyes because his words are still fresh in my ears.

"Keep it on my desk" he said with a lot of intensity and suddenly I felt hot!! Hoorain, stop!! I mumbled.

"Hmm..did you said something?" He asked devoid of any emotions.

"No Sir" I replied.

"Okay Sit down, and go through these reports" he said. And I did what he said. After about one hour or so I was finished with my work but for not even once also he looked at me or said something. He was so busy with his work. How can someone work so much? My stomach growled, but not that too loud reminding me that I again had not eaten anything but so do him.

"Excuse me, Sir" I said and looked at him in the eyes for the first time today. And I forgot what I have to say. His blue eyes were tired and his front bangs were covering them as a curtain. He looked so tired, suddenly I got an urge to run my hand in his soft hair.

"Miss.Ahmed??" He said suddenly snapping me out of my crazy thought.

"Umm..yeah..I was saying..that can you excuse me for sometime. I'll be back soon." I said.

"Why?" He asked and my stomach growled loudly giving the answer to his question proudly. I was so embarrassed.

"Go..but come back soon. We have lots of work left pending" he said. I mumbled Thank you to him and quickly went out. I quickly went to the cafe and ordered myself a veg patties and some french fries with cold coffee. I'm a sucker of cold coffee. But then I remembered that he has also not eaten anything so I told them to make it for two and one veg burger.

When I was coming up, I met Zain who was also busy and so do everyone else. I knocked and went inside. I quickly put everything on the table and took out everything.

"What do you think you're doing Miss.Ahmed??" He asked.

"I'm setting up the table so that we can eat lunch?" I said and shrugged.

"I'm not hungry" he said and again started working. I rolled my eyes.

"Why? Are you a robot??" I mocked.

"No..a human, which you won't understand because you don't belong in that list" he said cockily. Jerk!!

"Well, thank you for informing me. But I have red and studied that humans do eat." I said and laid out everything.

"Listen, I know you're busy and you have very much work because you want to keep everything updated. But taking out ten minutes for eating will not do any harm" I said. He sighed but he came and sat on the sofa. He looked very tired. His sleeves were rolled up, veins popping out of everywhere. His tie was lose, and his shirt was half in and half out.

He needs someone to look after him. Might be he has someone... No..I don't think. And he having a girl friend will be a big no...because he hardly gets time from working, then how will he give time to his girlfriend!! But why does he look like that he isn't slept for days?? Why does his eyes look so weary and tired as if it is searching for something or someone!!

"Miss.Ahmed if you've finished staring at me then can we eat?" He said and gestured with his hand towards the chair. I quietly sat down and started eating. I took a sip of my cold coffee and instantly moaned and he choked on his food.

"You alright?"

"Yeah"

My cell started ringing...and it was Tashu. "Hey..you alright?" I asked straightaway.

"Hoori, it's raining very badly. I won't be able to make it up to bus stop. So, I'm in the library...after you finish your work. Just come and pick me up. We'll go to home together." She said. I was about to say yes but when I looked at the files, I sighed.

"Tashu, I wanted to. But I'm busy and I'll be late today. Might till work at eleven. But don't worry, you just go and sit in the library. I'll send Zain or Junaid if they're are free, Or I'll come. Okay? Stay safe" I said and hang up. I was about to call Zain when I remembered that he said that everyone's busy, but suddenly he cleared his throat.

"Any problem?" He asked

"Yeah, it's Tashu. She's alone in the college and it's raining heavily. If you'll please excuse me for twenty minutes, I'll just drop her home safely and I'll be back." I said biting my bottom lip.

"No need" he said and I was shocked.
"I mean, I'll send my driver. He'll pick her up from the college and will drop her home also safely" he said and called his driver.

"Thank you" I said.

"It's the least I can do in return for insulting you yesterday" he said and shrugged. And suddenly I felt overwhelmed. "No Issues about yesterday. It's all forgotten and forgiven" I said and smiled. I quickly called Tashu and told her everything.

It was now already ten thirty and still I have five more files to check. Most of them has already left leaving behind only a few of us who were working. He had already left because he had a meeting to attend. And I'm still in his Cabin, go through the files.

All my things are already here. I have told one of the employees to bring my purse and everything here only. After finishing my work I got up and arranged everything in order. And took my things and switched off the lights and locked the Cabin. I took one glance in my Cabin and then walked down.

Right at the main gate guard came and told me that it was an order from Sir, that his driver will drop me home and I'm not allowed to deny because there will be consequences. He and his threats!! I sighed and nodded my head.

During the whole ride I kept on inhaling his scent which was still there. I know I'm weird but I can't help it. I reached home and greeted everyone and then went to my room and got freshen up. After freshening up I came outside to see he's calling me.

"Hello" I said.

"You reached safely?"

"Yeah. You're in meeting?"

"Yeah"

"Have you eaten?"

"Not yet but I will because I'm a human and human needs to feed" he mocked making me smile.

"Sir?"

"Yeah"

"Sleep...if not for eight hours, then atleast for five hours" I blurted.

"You shouldn't be worrying about me Miss.Ahmed" he said and hang up. Making my blood boil. Egoistic Jerk!!!
