" Well go see him" the queen said pushing my back as I grew nervous " What if he doesn’t remember me" I said looking at my feet with her pushing me " Oh he will now go we have more to do when your back" she said pushing me through a door.

I stumbled for my balance before seeing I was back in the woods I smiled feeling the cold winter air blowing across my skin I was wearing our war pants which were black and heavy, a light grey t-shirt and boats on my feet that I've gotten used to wearing since they weigh your feet down.

I kept walking feeling guilt in my heart I wasn’t sure where to go so I let my body lead the way the queen said Jon has been visiting the forest and he was here today she granted me some time to come see him before we go back and finish  the war for good the witches are dead so all we have to do is kill the remaining shadows then hunt down the living men who break strong souls.

I heard soft cries in the distance as a small smile formed on my face my heart was beating like a racehorse as I kept my slow steps not wanting to rush this, I wanted to do it slowly for once I'm tired of rushing into everything even if now would be the perfect moment.

I placed a hand on a tree turning around it stopping as I saw Jon sitting on the grow his head hung low and his chest rising unsteady to let a hurtful breath out, he would wipe at his face with a snuffle every so often as I stood three taking in his beauty even when he's hurt I still see no flaws.

" I miss you Evan" he said trying to calm himself down as he looked deeper into the forest " I couldn’t keep you safe the one thing I want most I failed at like I always do in life" he said and it hurt as I watched him choking on his words.

" These woods have been dead but I know spirits could be seen but where is everyone" he paused wiping at his face again " Where are you Evan you can't be dead I refuse to believe it" he said letting his body fall closer together as he picked his knees to his chest.

I slowly walked towards him not wanting to make a sound as I swore my heart will explode with anticipation if I take any longer but the smile on my face and this feeling is something I'm starting to love since he's causing this.

" You know what I regret the most" he said with a small chuckle " Was not telling you how much I love you" he said then placed his head in his knees going silent as I finally reached him I placed a hand on the ground sitting down with my legs around him.

" I love you to" I spoke out pulling his body into mine as he jerked against my arms eventually I loosened my grip watching him turn with so much shock and love in his eyes while tears started falling and a smile formed widely on his face.

He tackled me onto the ground as he hid his face in my chest " Evan" he cried out happily as I chuckled at him running a hand over his back to calm him down " Hello beautiful" I said as he pulled back sitting on my waist staring down at me with a weak smile.

I soon faded to a frown as he traced fingers over my face " What happened" he asked feeling the scar that damn witch gave me " Got into a fight" I said smiling at him as he chuckled lightly " Can you ever just be a good kid" he asked smiling at me.

I leaned up wrapping my arms around him as I placed my head into the crook of his neck " Who got you a teddy bear" I asked hearing him laugh lightly " You know what I mean" she said placing his head on mine as I held him tighter.

" You gained more muscle if that’s possible" he said and I pulled back looking into his eyes those dark blue galaxy look was fading into a light blue the ones I saw him have as a child " I know everything that has happened to you and I know why" I said cupping the side of his face running a thumb over it.

He looked so scared but I hushed him " It's ok Jon it's better now your not that person anymore" I said seeing him raise a brow " Ok well tell me your story and I will fill in the blanks ok" I said watching him take a deep breath while I still held a smile of joy on mine.

We talked for hours it felt like " Is that thing dead is that why im so emotional now" he asked with a shy smile and I nodded my head " Did you kill it" he spoke out in a whisper making my heartache " No I wanted to but my mother did she saved me since it almost killed me" I said watching his head snap up and his eyes scanned mine.

" It's alright I'm here aren't I" I asked seeing him still nervous " Oh stop that" I said kissing him I felt him inhale sharply probably surprised before he slowly faded into the kis I smiled and pulled back moving his hair from his face.

" We can't go home can we" he asked sounding as if a child's dreams just got crushed " No but soon I promise" I said watching him look around cuddling into my arms " How soon I'm tired of waiting it's been a year Evan" he said and this time it was my turn to be shocked.

" You waited and visited a year for me" I asked shocked by him as he looked up and gave a small nod " Jon" I spoke out feeling my heart practically jump into his as I kissed him more passionately, a voice was heard calling me back.

I sighed and he gave me a nervous look " I have to go back" I said as he pinned me to the ground " No" he said sternly as I laughed hugging him " I will be back baby I promise I will" I said feeling him start to cry again it hurt me.

" Take me with you" he finally spoke up as I sighed loudly " I can't and won't you need to live a life your only now getting back enjoy it since you finally can" I said leaning both of us up as he kept a tight grip on me.

" No it's nothing without you" he said as I pushed us to our feet and held into his chest he was still taller but not by as much anymore since I've grown both height and muscle " I have to go it's almost over then I'm all yours just wait for me" I said pushing him back to look into my eyes.

He scanned mine with a mix of emotions " Promise you'll wait for me" I said as he quickly kissed me then placed our foreheads together " I promise now your turn promise you'll come home promise you will be alive" he said and I promised him.

I took his hand in mine walking back to where I enter the real world seeing the glowing light acting as my door back " Don’t even think about it" I said feeling Jon wanting to run into it " I will be home and when I do I'm never letting go just wait for me" I said moving to stand in front of him as our hand linked.

" Only if your keeping yours" he said smiling at me I know he was hurting and I wanted to be here but I wanted a safer world if that dream I to come true I o not want anything risking my love and children's life.

" I love you" I said letting our hands slip slowly from each other while I baked into the light being sucked in staring into his eyes locked on me " I love you too" he said.

And with that a light flashed Evan was back in the castle resting his head and hand against the door longing for that touch to come back he was filled with more new found hope as he knew time would go quickly to him it felt like a barely a month but in reality it was a year.

He smiled and let a tear fall down his face as he stare at the door he was more than ecstatic to know Jon had waited that long or him and he can only imagine what their life would be like after if he was even able to come back alive he never asked about it since people here are stuck but something told him he will hold Jon again and with that he turnd walking back to the world cleaning up what's left of the war.

Jon watched the door fade away he wanted to badly to rush inside it and join his love but he promised Evan and someone has to look after Tyler since he went nuts after finding out but Jon kneww this would only help everyone.

He knew it wouldn’t be a short wait that it could be much longer but in Jon's heart no time would ever make his love fade or falter, he gave one last look to the place he last saw Evan before turning towards the woods with a more relaxed and hope filled walk towards home where he was going to share the news from good to bad.

As he walked out of the forest he looked back one last time " Come for me Evan" he whispered knowing that Evan just one simple person has given everything that have up for him that brought a new found happiness as he finally accepted the love he was tired of being scared or hurt and in return he accepted the fact Evan gave his life for him and with that he will keep going helping others as he received himself to honor the heart Evan gave him.
