XG 81 - Kids like you really need a beating

Do Wheein sucked in a mouthful of air. "Father, is this your ability? You can manifest guns?"

Do Eunhyuk tried to manifest another gun but there was no movement. Next, he tried to change his current gun into a different type, but there was no result either.

"I could only bring out this gun." Do Eunhyuk eyed the rifle somewhat fondly. This was his favorite type of weapon, fully loaded with thirty rounds. But he always used his right hand to pull the trigger, not so for his left hand.

"Never mind if it's only one. At least you have a weapon that you won't lose!" Do Wheein cheered, her eyes glowed similar to the sight of the cloud finally stopped blocking the sun.

Just because the father and daughter have guns, they were constantly targeted by greedy people. Do Wheein managed to safeguard her gun, but her father's gun was forcefully taken away when he was in his weak moment. Those shameless people insist they do not know where her father's gun was, even pretend they do not know what she was talking about

when she saw the gun hidden by them.

She would have already gotten into a fight with them if not for Park Donghae and her aunt stopping her. After all, they were not in the position to start and win a fight, not when her father was injured and most people in the base were not siding with them.

"Is it that simple?" Wong Xue Guo asked softly. To only manifest a gun, it sounded too weak of an ability. It would be more powerful if there was something special in regard to that gun.

"I want to test my gun."

Kang Xunsu smirked. "That's for sure." He was also curious what that gun could do.

Lee Su-Hwa interrupted, "Before that, you need to rest first. Eat your noodles before it becomes soggy. Why don't everyone also eat together?"

No one disagreed, so Lee Su-Hwa cooks for everyone a packet of instant noodles. Kang Xunsu's heart stings even more when the box that was supposedly full of instant noodle packets was half gone.

"I have some kimchi with me." Park Donghae pulled out a few small packets of vacuum kimchi for everyone to eat with their noodles.

Wong Xue Guo does not eat spicy food, so she refused. Chen Yibo opened a can of luncheon meat brought from their base and shared it with her.

While waiting for their food to finish cooking, Chen Yibo asked in detail what Man Jeong tried to do to her. The more she said, the more ugly his expression became.

Seated far away from them, Kang Hansik finally had the energy to worry about his buddies' well-being. His phone was not working since long ago and they did not have any other way to communicate. Their team only has one walkie-talkie, which was on him, but the other one was in the hands of their team leader of the survivors inside the base. It was for the purpose of letting those inside know when they reached their base to let them in.

Oh Junghan was drooling over the instant noodles, wanting to go over to their side to ask for some when Kang Hansik suddenly stood up. "Hey, we still need to rescue my friends!"

Lee Su-Hwa immediately frowned and Park Donghae turned to look at their new leader. As for their new leader, Kang Xunsu, he merely raised an eyebrow and glanced at Kim Sung-Ho who quickly translated for him.

But it was Do Eunhyuk that answered him. "If you want our help, you should wait until we finish our meal and recover our energy. If you don't want to wait, no one will stop you from going out to save them."

His tone was the same as an elder reprimanding his junior, causing Kang Hansik to grow displeased.

Oh Junghan could see that everyone was not happy with Kang Hansik's words. He tugged Kang Hansik's jersey and murmured, "Let's just wait."

Kang Hansik pushed Oh Junghan away. "What wait?! They could be in danger!"

"Isn't that danger caused by you? What does that get to do with us?" Lee Su-Hwa spoke out in dissatisfaction. Although she had not seen what happened, from Ash's explanation, it was these unreasonable people that started the fight and accidentally hit a car. Even if they were not entirely to blame, they still should not demand something unreasonable!

"What kind of crazy bitch- Are you blaming me for what happened? If you guys had not blocked us, this would not have happened!"

Kim Sung-Ho gaped at how shameless Kang Hansik's words were. It was strangely similar to his relatives' unreasonableness that drove his parents crazy.

Suddenly, two black figures appeared beside Yuna and their poorly drawn eyes gazed straight at Kang Hansik, the source of the problem.

"Monster!" Kang Hansik quickly retreated back and bumped into Oh Junghan who did the same. Both of them fell to the ground and Kang Hansik did not even notice he was hugging his teammate.

L.L. had pulled out his gun, but what really made the other party afraid was Yuna. Her childlike mind was very sensitive to other people's emotions and she immediately summoned her crayon-like parents and dog.

"This... What are these? Yuna?" With shaking pupils, Lee Su-Hwa unconsciously backed away as she stared at the young girl with crayon-like figures surrounding her protectively. This was the first time she had seen those crayon-like figures, as Yuna felt safe with Lee Su-Hwa when she arrived at the mini-market.

The crayon-like figures only appeared when she felt threatened.

"Mom and dad will protect us," Yuna solemnly promised, just as the crayon-like figures moved closer to Kang Hansik and Oh Junghan.

"No, no, Yuna! Don't hurt them!" Do Wheein quickly concluded that the appearance of these weird monsters was related to Yuna's ability, who had also survived the zombie bite. "Aunt, do something!"

The crayon-like figures stopped after Lee Su-Hwa coaxed Yuna to calm down. But they did not disappear and continued towering over the two trembling figures.

Park Sungmin said coldly to the two cowardly figures, "They are your people, not ours. To help you is our choice. We had said we will only move after we finish resting. Don't like it? Then leave!"

Kang Hansik gritted his teeth and tried to ignore the scary-looking figures. "So you are pushing away your responsibility?"

"Hey, you! What responsibility?!" Do Wheein smacked her fist onto a drawer and stood up. "Kids like you really need a beating!"

"Hansik! We still need their help! Our group members must be hiding somewhere safe so we can wait for a bit more before finding them, right? We can wait, right?" Oh Junghan urged frantically. If Kang Hansik still stubbornly insists, those monsters will kill them!

Kang Hansik finally let out a heavy huff, not wanting to admit he was scared of the black figures. "Eat quickly, damn it!"

Do Wheein rolled her eyes and sat back down. If it was not for the concern of human lives, she would really eat slowly to annoy that stinky brat. "Father, eat at your own pace. Don't get choked."

"I won't. You should also eat slowly, savor the taste. This will trick your stomach that you have a full meal."

Kang Hansik gritted his teeth at the father and daughter conversation, wanting to scold them, but the two tall monsters and one short monster were pressuring him to shut up. He does not understand where these monsters came from or how they could control them to do their bidding, but what he did know was these monsters would kill them if he continued pushing them.

The group had only cleaned the zombies inside the shop. They do not have enough energy or bullets to do a complete street cleanup. Which means they will need to fight again when they go out later.

"Let's hope our car is fine."

"Let's pray for that," Kang Xunsu echoed in agreement with Wong Xue Guo.

"So... what's the plan?" Wong Xue Guo asked when everyone had finished eating. Kang Hansik was acting as if his butt was bitten by ants, antsy to reunite with his teammates.

"We need an extra car that's working with enough fuel. Since we are already in this area, we will clear out the entire street. Little princess, take this time to do extra practice. You are quite slow in securing your weapon after landing a blow and your guard dropped quite a lot during that time."

"Hmm." Wong Xue Guo nodded. It was good that she received feedback from her training. But would she have time to consciously fix her weakness when fighting against those zombies?

"I will take the lead," Do Eunhyuk offered.

As a terrible English speaker but a good English listener, Do Wheein quickly asked after hearing his father's words. "Those that overcome the bite, do they still need to be afraid of being bitten?"

Chen Yibo had never heard about it and asked Wong Xue Guo, who shook her head in negative. None in their group know the answer to it.

It was another question for Wong Xue Guo to ask her mother. But at least the question of chopping off the bitten limb was answered.

It does not work, so no need to foolishly sacrifice body parts. But it was uncertain if the failure was related to the timing of the cut. Wong Xue Guo sneaked a glance at Do Eunhyuk's chopped-off arm and wondered if he would come to regret it when he got the time to rethink his past decision. Strangely, she believed he would not regret it.

"You are a dual shooter?" Kang Xunsu asked Do Eunhyuk.

"My left is not comparable to half of my right hand."

No one dared to let Do Eunhyuk take the lead once they heard that. He may have the calm, self-assured look of a commander, but none of them were confident of his left hand's shooting skill!

"You take the second. Once we are out of the corridor, we will no longer move in a straight line. Those who can't fight, remain inside the circle. Jersey guy and office worker, you two will be in the front lines. L.L. and Sung-Ho will cover our backs."

"What? You want us to take the lead?! You just want us to die!" Kang Hansik yelled.

Do Wheein arched an eyebrow. "Huh? Aren't you the one that wants to save your friends? You are now being given a chance to."

Kang Hansik stepped forward aggressively. "You bitch-"

"If you don't want to, you can move by yourself. We are not in the same group anyway," Lee Su-Hwa injected, her expression filled with disapproval over Kang Hansik's protest and endless cuss words that would teach children the wrong things.

"Hey, you two bitches! I have already seen you as an eyesore from before! Do you think I won't beat a woman?" Kang Hansik cracked his fists.

"Are you threatening us?" Do Wheein pulled out her gun.
