XG 140 - Discard the tux with a dress

The shadow immediately stopped its weird shaking right after she thought of that. It went back to harassing the immovable Mr Rabbit like a pleasant and obedient shadow.

It was strange that her shadow would move that way, and she could only let it go since her shadow did move according to her command.

"Heeeeey Yibo, is there someone else besides you?" Chen Jiang An asked when he saw his cousin being distracted. He had been constantly staring in a direction with a worried expression.

Chen Yibo had been paying attention to Wong Xue Guo the moment she used her ability and had been worried that she would have an emotional setback when her expression gradually turned worse.

Turning his cousin's attention away, Chen Yibo asked, "Didn't the eldest uncle given the authority to handle the firearms?"

With no result, Wong Xue Guo went to the kitchen to grab a canned pineapple and had Chen Yibo open it for her.

Unfortunately, Chen Jiang An was not distracted and definitely heard a female voice. "Cousin! You got a girl!"

"Chen Jiang An, aren't you afraid of accidentally forcing your cousin to marry a woman twice his age?" Although Wong Xue Guo felt her mood improve after hearing that, there was no way she would show it.

Being classmates of four years, there was no way Chen Jiang An did not recognize her voice, especially with her way of speaking. There was nothing rude about her tone and words, but the meaning behind it was clearly provoking!

"Ah, so it's Xue Guo! Why are you in Yibo's room?"

"Why can't I be in my room?" Wong Xue Guo returned the question and ignored whatever response Chen Jiang An would come up with from her sentence.

Chen Jiang An might look and act like a normal guy, but he was actually a person that likes to dramatize things. In their class, he had already matched many couples in his mind without their consent just because he saw them interact closely a few times.

In his stellar record, he only got two couples right.

Wong Xue Guo silently pondered if she and Chen Yibo could be the third couple. Spotting her shadow doing its wiggling dance again, it quickly stopped before she could even send a glare at it.

Her shadow was now her stomach worm, knowing her the best in the entire world and even broadcasting it to those that were looking.

Eyes widening, her hand stretched out and smacked Chen Yibo's thigh, an action so unladylike that would have recorded a minus hundred points in her etiquette book. "Look!"

It was good that Chen Yibo had been splitting his attention and did not drop his phone from the abrupt attack. His eyes similarly widen when he saw Mr Rabbit 'struggled' to stand up, and instead of wobbling, it was vibrating fiercely.

Chen Yibo silently worried about the little shadow's strength. "Your ability is improving."

"Yes!" Wong Xue Guo proceeded to order her shadow to move the plushie, but her shadow slipped up. Mr Rabbit fell from the couch and landed face first, eating dust.

Chen Yibo picked up the plushie, patted the dust from its white fur and placed it back on the couch. "You can continue practising slowly. Are you tired?"

"No."

"Eat more." Chen Yibo pointed at the barely eaten pineapple, wanting her to refuel her energy.

Chen Jiang An's throat was dry from his unanswered question and finally turned silent, choosing to eavesdrop to get answers for himself instead.

His cousin must have finally remembered him because he finally changed the camera view. He was about to ask why he wanted to show a soft toy when he saw it was moving rather precariously.

He was unfazed by the oddity since zombies were much scarier than moving dolls. Connecting the dots, Chen Jiang An asked, "Xue Guo is a puppeteer?"

The lens did not aim at Wong Xue Guo at all, with the capturer understanding that she does not want to be viewed. Chewing a pineapple slowly, she lowered her expectations and patiently controlled her shadow.

No one finds it boring to watch the plushie learning how to 'walk', slowly becoming smoother until it finally could walk back and forth on the couch without falling.

"No need to pay attention to me. You can continue your talk." Wong Xue Guo finally noticed the guys had stopped their conversation.

"I don't mind watching-"

Chen Yibo had already turned the lens back to him, cutting off Chen Jiang An's words. "What else do you want to talk about?"

There was almost nothing else to talk about. Chen Jiang An had started the video call because his cousin said he had the time, and he just wanted to vent.

"Right, I remember! There are two ability users in Geum, but no one could accurately tell me what their abilities are. The rumours became too exaggerated the more they shared around. But Xue Guo's ability is cool! What else can she control?"

"I don't know," Chen Yibo answered.

Wong Xue Guo's control over Mr Rabbit was very smooth now as if she had been practising for days instead of nearly half an hour.

Knowing she should not demand much from her baby shadow that was just born today, she let her mind relax. That made her mind start to stray away and think of messy things.

Such as, 'Mr Rabbit looks cute walking like this. A rabbit doing a catwalk.'

'Ah, he could even do splits. Headstand. Backflip.'

'If he had a toothpick, he could swing it around like a sword and stab bugs like a knight.'

'How good it would be if Mr Rabbit really could move by itself.'

'It would be good to have a single living thing that completely belongs to me.'

Her ability was running in auto mode and thus she did not know the reason for what happened next. Without warning, the dark shadow plastering on Mr Rabbit's back disappeared, as if it entered his body.

Chen Yibo was secretly smiling as he watched her amuse herself by exaggerating Mr Rabbit's movement, the video call with his cousin almost forgotten. So he had quickly noticed when the pineapple can and fork slipped from her grip and hit the floor.

"I will call you back later!" Chen Yibo quickly hung up the call and rushed to her side.

Sitting as still as a statue, Wong Xue Guo's eyes were looking down at Mr Rabbit blankly. Chen Yibo felt his entire body shiver from the disturbing sight of her completely black eyes. Even her sclera was black, looking just like a black marble that shines when reflected by light.

"Xue Guo!"

Wong Xue Guo knew that she should be panicking when there was some trouble in straightening her mind, but there was something blocking her from reaching that feeling.

Maybe that was a good thing, or else she would be going crazy being stuck in her own mind instead of calmly thinking of a way to fix it.

She could see and hear Chen Yibo, even feeling the warmth of his hands as he grasped tightly onto her hands. But her consciousness seems to have split into two, jumbling up her sense of reality.

The first consciousness was in her own body, which was normal. However, the second consciousness was in Mr Rabbit, which was not normal at all.

Right now, she could 'see' Mr Rabbit raise his hands, just as she could raise Mr Rabbit's hands as if they were her own.

Does that mean I need to change Mr Rabbit's gender and discard the tux with a dress after this?
