When we got back to the school I saw the extent of what is happening here. People were fighting for their lives and there were dozens of bodies. Dear god. Our fight was just a distraction. We have to stop this now. Letting my power build I ran to help a group of girls that were being attacked. The people attacking were surprised when I sent them flying away from us. The girls were crying and Tate led them away from the battle. They shouldn't have left in the first place.

   When I saw that Sapphire wasn't here I got worried. She can take care of herself, I reminded myself, mostly to reasure myself,  but also so I don't get distracted. I took a hit that sent me back a few feet. Planting my feet I stopped myself from sliding further, then I launched myself at him. He was quick and grabbed me. He then threw me to the ground and pinned me.

   "Such a shame you are a Collier. I'll hate to kill such a pretty little thing like you." He nuzzled my neck and I tried to push him away. "All well, goodbye, Collier." His hands slid around my throat and he started choking me.

   I clawed at his arm and face, but he caught my wrists with his free hand and pinned them above my head. I couldn't get my legs up far enough to kick or knee him. Oh god I'm going to die like this.

   I soon grew too weak to struggle anymore. My vision spotted and the last thing I saw before passing out was him running towards us.

   I felt her pain and her fear. Looking around I saw him ontop of her. He's choking the life out of her. I have to stop him, Now! I ran to help but some guy tackled me and I felt burning heat start to rush through my head. What the hell is this guy's power? I feel like he's frying my brain. I screamed and fell to my knees. The guy kneeled next to me and smiled.

   "You are her mate, I see," he muttered. Her mate? No that isn't possible I'm just her protector. I have to save her.

   "No I'm not. Tate is," I said. You idiot, why tell him Tate's name? I chastised myself. Crap.

   "So nieve. You belong to her. All well, can't have that now can I?" I felt red hot pain shoot down my spine and then I heard a crack and passed out.

   'Get up stupid you have the power to save her. You are a Rockland! Get up! Don't fail your family, Terence. She doesn't have much time. Get. The. Hell. Up!'

   My eyes opened and I pushed myself up. I have to save her. She's more special than she knows. If I fail to protect her and take care of her I get disowned or worse killed. I lost sight of that, but now I need to take my responsibility seriously. I stood and wiped the blood from my nose. I'm a Rockland and I belong to Symphony as she belongs to me. I knocked my opponent into the ground with a single kick. No more playing around. I  tackled the guy who was killing Symphony and punched my hand through his chest.

   I checked Symphony for a pulse. She had one but it was very weak. She wasn't breathing at all and I started doing CPR. Sapphire showed up and kept us from being attacked. Symphony gasped and I hugged her close to me. She froze at first then relaxed.

   "Sorry I didn't get to you sooner, Symphony." She shook her head and clung to me desperately. I held her close to me. I never wanted to let her go again. She is the most amazing and wonderful woman I have ever met. I hate feeling her hurt and her sadness.

   "Get her out of here," Sapphire said to me. I nodded and without hesitation I stood with Symphony in my arms. When I got her to the infirmary I saw Tate. I went over to him. He gasped and had me lay her down.

   "Help. Them." she struggled to get the words outm but I understood. I didn't want to leave, but I really didn't want to feel her greif if one of them died so I decided to go. If saving them saves her then I'll do it.

  "Tate, watch after her okay? Protect her." He nodded and I went to help her family and others. I hate leaving her side and especially hate leaving her with him.

   I saw Violet was the one that was struggling the most so I went to help her. She clearly doesn't know I'm a friend because as I approached  her she spun and I saw fear in her eyes. I just touched her arm gently and shoved her out of the way of his attack. I slammed my knee into his stomach. Aiming lower would have helped more but all well, I still sent him back a few feet. Violet looked up at me and I offered my hand. She took it and I pulled her to her feet. I told her to shift into a large wolf and she just gave me a weird look.

   "Trust me, Violet. Hurry." She said something then began to shift.

   Once she's done I got on her back and told her to run full speed towards him. She did. She grabbed his arm just as I jumped full force onto his chest. He screamed but not for long as he stopped breathing. I could see the guilt in Violet's eyes. She has never hurt let alone killed anyone before. She shifted back. I pulled her into a hug as she started to cry. She's such a gentle person. I heard Dennis scream, but it was cut short. I looked around and watched the man drop him. No! Violet tried to look but I wouldn't let her. Sapphire's scream gave it away. Violet's shoulders shook as she cried harder. Sapphire's powers exploded again and I covered Violet.

   "My turn," Violet growled and pulled away from me. Water began to form all around her and it began to form into dozens of ice daggers. They went flying and killed half a dozen of our enemies. I grabbed her and she collapsed against me.

   "Easy Vi.," I mumbled."Come on." I took her over to the others now forming a circle around Dennis.

   "Where is Symphony?" Sapphire asked. I sighed.

   "Safe," I said. "How many of these guys are there? Damn," I mutteted. It's like we didn't even make a dent in their forces and we're all already getting weak.

   "A lot. We need Symphony to complete the circle," sappire said. I was about to tell her that Symphony had been hurt but then...

   "I'm. Here," Symphony said and I cought her from falling. The others shared a look. I knew what they were thinking.

   "Symphony, you're weak you can't keep doing this." I pulled her against me and kissed her head."You make it hard for me to protect you. Stubborn," I mumbled. She's mine and always will be. Tate will be a problem though. Speaking of which, where is Tate? I told him to keep her safe."Let me try to heal you? I don't know if I can, but I want to try." She nodded and leaned into me. Mine. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate. On pure instinct I ran my fingers over her neck and I felt power surge through me.

   I felt my neck and throat start to heal and I leaned on him more as relief flooded through me. He slid his fingers to my stomach and I felt those wounds heal.

   "Any other injuries I need to know about?" he asked. His voice sounded so much deeper and my eyes opened. He's hot.

   "No. None that I can't live with anyway," I said trying to keep my voice from betraying the emotions I was feeling. How can I like this man when Tate is supposed to be my mate?

   "Good." He let me go reluctantly and I took my place in the circle. we joined hands and my eyes closed the instant we were connected. I knew they were touching Dennis somehow. We have to save him and end this damn war. Blood began to pool from Dennis and I knew without a doubt this is what I had seen a while back when I had my first vision. The hate and the pain crushed into me all at once. I tried to focus so that my dream wouldn't become real. I was yanked from the circle and he knocked me out.

   I woke up in a sitting position and noticed I was bound to a chair. Was I taken that easily? I feel so ashamed. I heard voices and switched to my vampire side.

   'This girl? Are you absolutely positive? She's just a child.'

   'Sir we're positive that she is the one that contains all 5 elements equally. I suggest we put her in the room to be sure'

   'I agree, she may be just what we've been looking for for over 3 generations.'

   All 5 elements? Is that possible? I pretended to be asleep as the man opend the door. He sighed and came over to my side. He lifted my face and then slapped me across my cheek.

   "Wake up, Collier. I suggest you cooperate and we won't have to hurt you."

   I opened my eyes and he let me go. "Good girl. Come on." He unbound my wrists and pulled me from the chair. Who are these people? Why do they want me so badly? Could I escape now?

   They threw me into a room with white walls, a small bed, a toilet, and a shower with no curtain. They closed the door and I slid to the floor. Why me, why here and why now?
