Chapter Twenty - One: Captivity (Symphony/Terence)
. . . . . . Symphony's P.O.V. . . . . . .
I've been here for weeks now. Things became routine and I was given books to read upon my request. None of my other requests would be given and I know it. I just want to go home. Where am I and why do they want me? Why did they take me? If they wanted us dead then why am I still alive?
. . . . . . Terence's P.O.V. . . . . . .
It's been weeks and we've gotten no where closer to finding her. Her Dad keeps saying that she is dead and the others are slowly giving up too. They won't listen to me. I know she is still alive and I will save her no matter what.
I looked online for any clues and found nothing on C.F.R. or his family. They have to be under an alias. I found something that surprised me. Many humans know of the Colliers. It's of cource a fable to them, but it is a true story for us. I desided to read it and I found out exactly where they are. Who knew an old story could be helpful?
I told everyone that I'll be gone for a few days and that I'll be back ASAP. Once in my car I took off. I drove nonstop till I had to get gas and food. Hold on, Symphony. I'm comeing.
The instant I paid, I took off again. She's in pain now. What are they doing to her? Regardless I have to hurry.
. . . . . . Symphony's P.O.V. . . . . . .
I was reading when the room suddenly started to fill up with smoke or mist. Is this on purpose or is something wrong? I began to feel light headed and I passed out.
I woke up to pain and I groaned. Why do I hurt? Looking around I saw that I'm still in the white room but there were red marks on the floor. I realized it was blood. Sitting up I groaned again. I noticed a new set of clothes on the bed and stood. I used the shirt to cover the camera and took a quick shower before changing.
Gawd why am I so sore? What did they do to me while I was out? A man opened the door and stepped inside. He shut the door behind him.
"Turn around," he said. Afraid of what might happen I hesitated but didn't ask any questions. As I turned I heard him pull somthing out. Then I felt somthing at my back. "Don't move Collier or this will hurt." I felt a pinch on the back of my neck and then grew dizzy. He cought me as I fell and picked me up. The last thing I noticed as I started to lose consciousness was that we were leaving the room.
I woke up on a hard metal table. My arms and legs were chained and I tried to melt them, break them and slip out of them. Fire wasn't my best power but I had to try. Tate had to be on his way right? He had to know that I'm hurting right? I'm too weak for any of my powers to work.
A man came in and held something in his hands. I tried to see what it was but he kept it just out of my view. What are they going to do to me? The man leaned over me.
"Ah so you're going to be awake for this then. That's a shame. Don't worry Collier this'll hurt, but im good at my job so I at least won't mess up."
"M - Mess what up?" I asked fearfully. He pursed his lips and then I felt the pain I couldn't move away from it so I squeezed my eyes closed. Eventually the pain made me pass out again.
When I woke up I had bandages wrapped around my torso. Everything from my chest to my right thy. I was sore, my wrists and ankles were the worst. Some girl came in and I tried to sit up and move away. Doing so I whimpered in pain. She sighed.
"Stay still. You'll hurt yourself more," she said and came to the side of the bed. "Let me bandage your wrists." She opend her large bag and pulled out bandages, some pills and a water bottle. "The pills are for the pain, just don't take more than two a day. I will let you decide to take them if you want to. I suggest you do though or you'll just torcher yourself more." She set them on a small table next to the bed within my reach, then started to bandage my wrists.
"I thought you guys hated Colliers. So why are you being kind to me?" I asked curiously.
"Our reasons are our own," she mumbled and started on my other wrist.
"Why don't you people just kill me?" I asked. I would rather die than continue this torcher.
"Oh we don't want you dead kiddo. We want to use you," an elder man said from the doorway.
"Use me for what?" I asked skeptically. So I'm just a pawn then?
"Any ways we want to. War, pleasure, work, ect." The only one that I was afraid of was the pleasure part. What really happened to me each time I was knocked out/passed out? "Mmmm, I can see fear in your eyes darling. If you are wondering, yes at least one of those has happened once already." He laughed cruelly and left the room. The girl grabbed a brush, but remained silent. Was she a slave for them too?
"All the women here are," she whispered quietly. "There is nothing you can do now, but to go along with what you are asked to do. Believe me we've all tried to escape, we've had no luck."
"My mate will save me," I said. I was sure of that. She didn't look convinced of that and I was losing faith in that myself.
. . . . . . Terence's P.O. V. . . . . . .
I stopped for gas and as I got back in the car. Tate cleared his throat and sat up from the back seat. I stared at him and sighed. After handing him food and water I started driving again. We're almost there I can feel it.
"Dude I saw your gifts during the battle, what are you?" he asked randomly. Is he really asking that right now? I swear he isn't as worried about Symphony as I am.
"My name is Terence Rockland," I mumbled. His breath caught, a reaction I was expecting from him. From anyone really, except maybe humans they just hear a name. Others hear it as a very special and powerful name.
"So that's why you are connected to her. You're her protector," he mumbled clearly hoping that was the only reason. I couldn't honestly tell him that it was the only reason.
"I'm more than that. If she dies I die, if I die she dies. We are bound," I said needing him to understand the situation.
"All I ask is that you stay away from her romanticaly," he said realizing what I'm getting at. That pissed me off. Does he really think I can help it? Because I can't.
"We should probably find her first, dumb ass," I muttered trying to keep calm. How could I tell him how I really feel about her? I couldn't without him attacking me. I'd deserve it though.
"Yeah, sorry," he mumbled awkwardly. I focused on the road in front of me and tried to not get distracted. She needs us and we're wasting time arguing about this. Her safty is the main priority right now, nothing else.
