A few years later

Trinitys POV

"Iz it's our first mission let's go" I say to my best friend and soon to be parapatai

Yes I should back track just slightly. I know the story I'm telling is quick right now. It's minor details until we get to the good stuff. When I first felt the connection with Izzy it was instant really. After I heard jace tell me what Alec told him. About Izzy thinking about going through with the parapatai bond. It made me want to be her parapatai as well. As for the feeling with Alec yes it's still their, no I don't understand it yet.

Not just because I felt the strong instant bond with her. It was also because I got confirmation she felt the same way. Jace and Alec are parapatai they completed their bond ceremony last year. Now it's going to be me and Izzy's turn to do it. The mission is simple all we need to do is kill a demon.

A few minutes later

"Damn Iz you were sick out there" I laughed

"Me, did you forget what you did" she laughed

We walked into the institute with smiles on our faces. Then headed to put our weapons in the cleaning room. Curtain people clean the weapons so we don't have to. It's a shifty job that's for sure, but it's a needed job too. Otherwise we'd all be washing them ourselves. It's complicated really, but it's not at the same time.

"You guys did great" jace said

"Thanks j" I say

Alec come over and goes to say something. Until he notices something and his face turns into that of concern. He walks up to me and grabs my arm gently.

"You got hurt" he says

I was so confused about his sudden major concern for my safety. That pull I felt towards him from the second we met rising.

"It's just a scratch" I say

"It's a scratch from a demon Trinity" he says

"It's o....k" I said and began to get dizzy

The last thing I remember is Alec catching me. Izzy's look of concern and Jace panicked expression.

Izzy's POV

"How did I not notice her get hurt" I panicked

"Iz it's alright" jace said

"No I'm a terrible soon to be parapatai if I can't even pay attention to detail" i huffed and rushed off

Alec's POV

I only recently started feeling this way. These feelings towards my parapatai's sister. I mean I some what noticed a connection when we first met. We were young she was really young so I ignored it. The feeling I got when she went out with Izzy. Without me or jace to watch them. Then seeing her hurt and pass out in my arms. Something pulled at my heart and I hated it.

I quickly picked her up and walked her to her room. Izzy and Jace following behind me quickly. I set her down and removed her jacket. Revealing her wound, I took out my stele. I drew the healing rune on her wound. It began to heal, but slowly. I instinctively grabbed her hand waiting for her to wake up.

"You have feelings for my soon to be parapatai" Izzy's voice came from behind me

"I don't know what your talk about" I say and quickly letting go of Trinitys hand

"You don't have to lie to me Alec" she says

"Drop it Izzy" i hiss

"How is she?" Jace says entering the room

I looked at Izzy giving her a warning look so she doesn't say anything to jace. I can't have that happen he wouldn't allow it. Even if he might be able to feel it through the parapatai bond we have shared.

"She's still out" Izzy says

Trinity's POV

I knew I wasn't awake and in the real world. This world I was in was a dream state and it was freaky. I was standing in a room with Alec and Jace. I don't know where Izzy was, but something felt weird. I could feel the tension in the room even if it wasn't real. Alec was arguing with Jace about something. I couldn't make out what they were saying.

It wasn't until I felt a hand around my neck and a knife against my stomach. I heard them speaking loud and clear.

"Damn it Alec she's my sister" jace yelled

"Why can't you be happy for us" Alec yelled

"You don't love her Alec, none of it's real" jace said

"How could you say that" I snapped

"They can't hear you" the person holding my throat whispered

"What's happening?" I snapped

"You love him, but do you think that he will chose you over his parapatai" the voice said

"He doesn't love me I already know that" I snapped

I felt the knife press deeper against my skin. I could feel it begin to cut me.

"That's not true and you know it don't you" they said

"His bond with Jace is stronger it always has been and it always will be" I said feeling the pain in my heart

"That hurts to say doesn't it" they said

"What do you want from me?" I snapped

"Remember what I told you about emotions Trinity" they said

"They cloud your judgment" i said in a daze

As if I were a robot repeating orders I was give . No they are wrong, feelings matter they have to.

"Remember he won't break his bond for you, you would be stupid to think he could ever love you, don't show weakness, don't love him let that love go because in the end" they say

"It only ends in heartbreak" I say yet in another daze

"Good luck" they said

then I woke up wanting nothing more than to run. To scream out my frustration maybe even cry.

I was laying in my bed, three voices in the room. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. What was that, was it a dream, a vision. Was it something to do with a warlock. I need to know what that was and why it happened. Feelings do they really cloud my judgment. Am I really second best to everyone. I'm the backup to everything aren't i.

I push those so called feelings done and sit up. Everyone turns to me with relieved expressions. Alec had the most relieved expression out of the three. I looked away from him and ignored their questions. I got up and grabbed my stele, my phone and walked out of the room.
