~Chapter Three~

"Sis? Are you up yet?" I frowned, sitting up slowly and rubbing my eyes.

"Yeah..." My eyes widened as I glanced hurriedly at my phone.

  8:45.

  Oh, profanity.

I leapt out of bed and headed straight for the door...but Blake blocked my way. I stomped my foot in annoyance.

"Blake! I'm already late! Ah, I'm going to have to not take a shower and skip breakfast, since that will take way too long!" I rushed through my closet, searching desperately for my uniform. "Oh, where is it? I thought I put it back...Ugh, it's not here! Where is it, where is it, where-" I was interrupted by Blake's light laughter. I glared at him, some of my hair limping over my face. "What did you do?" He smiled, folding his arms, struggling to muffle his laughter.

"Nothing," I opened my mouth to scream back, but he spoke before I could. "I told you...You're being home schooled now." I felt myself turning bright pink and collapsed onto my bed, screeching into my pillow. "Don't be so melodramatic, Sis...Now, get ready. I'll be downstairs." As soon as he had left the room, I gave out a groan and heaved myself into the bathroom, splashing water over my face. I still felt dizzy from yesterday and I missed the sweet, warm feeling of my bed...

"Sis! Are you ready yet?" I frowned.

  "No."

"Hurry up, then! I have work to do too, you know!" I sighed, getting into the shower. Blake sounded extremely ticked off, so I tried to be as quick as possible in the bathroom.

Almost twenty minutes later, I strolled out, drying off the ends of my hair. I wandered into my room and put on a long sleeved, green checked dress with a black clergyman's hat and black pumps. I skipped downstairs and into the kitchen, completely forgetting about how long Blake had been waiting.

He was practically burning with rage when he saw me, yet I tried to ignore it.

"Good morning, Blake!" I beamed, grabbing some toast as it popped out of the toaster. He rolled his eyes, glaring at me.

"Sis, come on, you know that took way too long..." Blake gave out a sigh. "I was planning to take you out today, but with all the work I have to do after teaching you, I probably won't have enough time." I frowned, my heart sinking. I rarely got to go out with Blake, and I had just wasted my one chance...

"Look, Blake, I'm sorry...You don't have to teach me, I would only waste your time-" Blake shook his head.

"I'll teach you, Sis...I have to. I can finish my work later." He grabbed his coat, throwing mine at me, which unfortunately hit me in the face. He stifled a laugh. "Come on." I blinked at him.

"Where are we going?" He simply beamed back, a cunning glint in his eyes.

"You'll find out..." He suddenly grasped my arm and hurried out the door, leading me rapidly into his car. I was shocked from the sudden rush.

"Um, Blake?" He looked over at me, his eyes glistening. "Are you alright? You seem a bit..." I tried to find the right word, but failed.

"Don't worry, Sis, I'm fine..." Blake shook himself, as if he had been dazed. "Stop worrying, alright? When you have strong feelings, I get them, too." I nodded, but couldn't help feeling nervous as Blake drove on. He had a strange look in his eyes, and I feared the worst. I was snapped out of my thoughts as he parked and gave out a sigh. He had parked in a large green field, foggy and grey. I stepped hesitantly out of the car and followed Blake as he marched deeper into the mist. Suddenly, he reached for my hand and clutched it tight. I gasped. "Calm down, Sis...Besides, we're out here to cure that anxiety of yours." I stiffened.

"Blake..." My voice trailed off as we stopped at the edge of a very high cliff.

This only made my anxiety worsen.

"Blake! What are you doing? Oh, gosh, this is so high! I'm going to faint! Let me go home!" Blake sighed, hugging me tightly from behind. "What are you-"

"I got scared, so I grabbed you," Blake frowned. "Just be careful, alright? Oh, and stop being so nervous." I nodded, hurrying over to the edge of the cliff and closing my eyes, breathing in the fresh air.

  Ah, perfection...

I took a small step forward and my smile widened when I felt a bit of sunlight on my cheek.

"Oh, Blake," I whispered, spreading out my arms and giving a warm smile. "This is-" My heart seemed to stop immediately as I lost my footing.

  Fudge nuts.
