Beomgyu processed all of that information. He subconsciously touched the vial around his neck. The very vial that held Soobin' breath. "If those with the gift weren't supposed to go to the institute, why did my mom let me attend when I came of age ?" 

Sooyeon seemed quite annoyed by Sun-Hi' decision. Times were different, but letting Beomgyu go anyway was potentially a risk. Especially since Sooyeon herself couldn't attend the institute. "My best guess is she thought you were like her. The gift wasn't bestowed on you."

Sooyeon knew just from looking at Beomgyu, that he asked to be sent to here for a reason. "Before you ask anymore questions about the family... 범규아, 여기 왜 왔어요?" (Why did you come here, Beomgyu ah ?) Beomgyu casted his eyes down to what was left of his tea. "I was kicked out of the institute for casting the convergence curse on my friend Soobin... My wand was snapped in half as a result of his death."

"선희는 태어날 때 선물을 가지고 있었는지에 대한 명확한 답을 얻었을 것입니다. 범규아, 당신의 출생에 대해 아는 것이 있나요?" (Sun-Hi would have gotten a clear answer to if you possessed the gift after your birth. Do you know anything about your birth, Beomgyu ah ?), Sooyeon asked very much wanting to get to the bottom of why Beomgyu was allowed to attend the institute. "I am not sure. Mom never speaks about it." This further angered Sooyeon, she needed to pay her twin a visit.

A black cat pranced into the space, shifting into a person. "W-who ? W-what ?" Beomgyu was absolutely confused. He wasn't aware Sooyeon had people around. Sooyeon looked absolutely impressed. Like she was wondering when the new person was going to introduce themselves to Beomgyu.  The person in question bowed respectfully before offering a smirk. Green eyes piercing into Beomgyu'. 

"이름은 권류입니다. 만나서 반가워요, 사촌." (The name is Kwon Ryu. Nice to meet you, cousin.) "Why were you a cat ?", Beomgyu asked seeing the astounding confidence radiating off of his cousin. Ryu chuckled at his puzzled expression. It clearly was not a reaction Ryu often got. "I was born with this condition. It is called Metamorphi." This was something in older times, if Ryu wasn't a pureblood raised in exclusion she'd be called a Half-Wit for having a Reverse Defection. Metamorphi much resembled that of the Metamorphmagus from Harry Potter.

Sooyeon turned to Ryu. "Will you watch your cousin while I pay your aunt a visit ?" Ryu quickly agreed ,& Beomgyu gave his aunt his mother' location.

Ryu took a seat. "I have come to learn that exclusion was a must in the family for those with green eyes..." Ryu nodded. "I have natural training. As we all do here." Beomgyu was lead by Ryu down a hall. It was covered in portraits of many unnaturally green eyed people. He stopped at Ryu' portrait, "How old were you here ?"

Ryu smiled incredibly prideful. They must've been one of the youngest to get their gift. "저는 12살이었어요. 그렇게 일찍 선물을 받은 가장 어린 사람 중 한 명입니다." (I was twelve. One of the youngest to ever get the gift that early.) Their gift was unpredictable in when it manifested & with who it bestows itself. 

Beomgyu felt a chill as they descended more down the hall. "There are more people here, right ? Do they not like new people ?" The house was huge ,& it supposedly housed all of the Jade Faction. Ryu subconsciously rubbed their arms, feeling intense goosebumps. "There are. Most spell themselves to their rooms. It also doesn't help that they hear everything. The family probably want confirmations you are someone who possesses the gift."

Beomgyu questioned one of the things Ryu just told him, "자기들 방에 철자를 썼나요? 왜요?"(Spelled themselves to their rooms ? Why ?) Ryu' eyes teared up in the most unnatural way. Like just talking about it was hard. "I'd rather not say, cousin. It could stirs up horrible reactions from those listening in."

Soon enough they stopped at a room. Beomgyu was told to settle in a bit while Ryu made her rounds about the house...
