Sooyeon & Sun-Hi had been running around in the meadow on their family' land. Pureblooded families of Monzara were nothing new, but even they had secrets. Monzara, Institute Of The Arcane had been open quite sometime by the time the young twins came of age. 

The twins were alike, but completely opposing. Sun-Hi had every freedom, but was told to be extremely careful when around her sister growing up. Sooyeon on the other hand was born with glowing green eyes and usually was kept away from her sister at all times. Neither knowing why until the dreaded day their institute attendance letters came in.

Their grandmother sat them down. Sun-Hi scrunched her nose cutely, "할머니 왜 그러세요? 스트레스 많이 받으신 것 같아요." (What is it grandmother ? You seem stressed.) Their grandmother having unnatural glowing green eyes as well. Like a few of their family members had. "I will be sending you alone to the institute, Sun-Hi ah. Sooyeon must remain here." Sooyeon immediately took offence. Her whole life she's heard stories of the institute ,& was always under the impression that she'd attend with her sister. Together.

"왜 그냥 선하이예요? 할머니, 저도 왜 못 가요?" (Why just Sun-Hi ? Why can't I go as well, grandmother ?) Kwon Tae-Da knew her granddaughter would be devastated, but she could not allow Sooyeon to go. They had a secret to protect. "I know you are disappointed, Sooyeon ah. This is for your own good."

Sun-Hi cut in & held her sister' hand. "What don't we know ?" Their grandmother explained the Jade Faction of purebloods. Their family' history...

Many Years Ago...

A tribe of nameless (well nameless for now) magical people met up in secret. Purebloods. The Jade Faction. A group holding a secret with which they'd never speak of. In fact, something that broke their family in two. The family in question bearing the surname Kwon. It was rare if those outside of a specific family could have this very specific abnormality. This Reverse Defection.

The Jade Faction' members all had one thing in common. Their glowing green eyes. "우리는 스스로를 보호해야 합니다. 지금은 선물에 대해 털어놓을 때가 아니에요," (We must protect ourselves. This isn't a time we can be open about our gift,) a nameless person said as they all were terrified. Especially since they had been divided from their more normal family members. "We are powerful. Making this guidebook will benefit us in the years to come." Someone else muttered quietly.

A cauldron was conjured between the six nameless magical people. The youngest among them mixed the cauldron' contents with his hands. For the contents was nothing short of a collection of breaths. Which looked like white mist. "Ready your vials, family." 

The breaths were sealed into vials which were worn as jewelry by the members of this faction of purebloods. The breaths taking on a lime green shade. Only turning this color while worn around the necks of members. This was coined "The Last Breath", for it comes from pure oxygen from the earth. This gift also gave those with this gift a rare ability with precise accuracy, the ability to cast spells without verbal indication or wand.

The youngest among the faction was an identical twin. A uncommon occurrence. His name was Kwon In-Su. His brother being named Kwon In-Ho. He met up with his brother which is pretty much a risk. Both sides of the family worried that they'd harm the other unintentionally. In-Ho sat his his brother, "합격했어요. 인수씨, 혼자 가기 싫어요." (We were accepted. I don't wish to go alone, In-Su.) In-Su sighed. Luckily, at this time it wasn't a rule that those who possessed the family gift be left behind. "I shall join you, brother. I wouldn't let you face the institute alone." 

This is one of the earliest beginnings of the institute. Especially at a time when the pureblood derogatory term Half-Wit was used as one of the most disrespectful insults.
